With a fridge full of various types of beer, this place offers a unique style where you can choose and enjoy different beers displayed on the wall. They also serve European dishes that pair well with the beer selection. The interior is small, so it may be challenging for large groups, but it's a great spot for a date or for solo dining.

Located in the underground first floor, just a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Station South Exit, is a European pub. All prices are displayed including tax and there is no seating charge, making it easy for foreigners to enjoy. The dimly lit atmosphere inside gives off a typical bar vibe. They offer a wide selection of beers from various European countries, including Belgium.
- Beef Cheek Stewed in Chimay Beer: ¥1,950
A dish made with beef cheek cooked to a tender texture using only Chimay beer, without any water. Comes with a baguette for wiping up the sauce.
- Octopus Carpaccio: ¥980
Thinly sliced octopus carpaccio served with onions on a long plate, offering a refreshing taste.
- Liege-style Salad "Awakening of the Incas": ¥1,180
Liege-style dressing with a mayonnaise base. The Incas are soft and delicious.
- Vedett Pine: ¥900
A cocktail made with pineapple juice and Vedett beer.
- Guinness Half Pint: ¥750
A creamy foam with a texture similar to cream. I usually prefer wine over beer, but this texture makes it enjoyable.

I found this place when searching for a good restaurant near Shinjuku West Exit. The Iberico pork simmered in Shime beer caught my attention, so I decided to go in. It's about a 3-minute walk from the station, and you go down to the basement where the restaurant is located. The interior has a British pub-like atmosphere with a bright bar area. There are TVs showing rugby matches, and there is even standing space where you can watch while enjoying your drink. The beer selection is self-service, where you can pick your favorite from the fridge for around ¥1300 for a 330ml bottle. They have a wide variety of beers, and the glasses are specifically matched to each beer brand. The food was the highlight for me - all reasonably priced but high-quality. The fish and chips were perfect with crispy fish and fluffy potatoes. The buffalo chicken had a sweet and spicy flavor that paired well with the drinks. And the Iberico pork simmered dish was amazing with tender meat and delicious mashed potatoes. Although it feels like a place for a second round of drinks, the food was so good that I wanted to make it my first stop for the night.

Located about a 5-10 minute walk from Shinjuku South Exit or East Exit. They have a wide variety of beers, including white beer, which makes it fun. I like that they have a daily beer selection, similar to a daily wine selection. The food is good overall, but nothing stands out as exceptionally delicious. If I had to recommend something, it would be the beer stew. The interior of the restaurant is dark, so the photos won't turn out well.

I used it for work. They have a delicious all-you-can-drink beer plan. The restaurant faces a main street. It's located underground, giving it a hidden gem feel. It's a great place for chatting with friends.

On my first visit, I tried 6 different beers recommended by the staff. In addition to the menu, there were various beers from around the world lined up in the fridge, which got me really excited. The staff kindly explained the taste of each beer, so if you're unsure, be sure to ask the staff. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the beers.

Gathering with my Stanford friends at Shinjuku Frigo~☆ On July 3, 2023, we had a reunion with my Stanford friends at Shinjuku Frigo. It was surprising that the place is still open, as we used to go there for the second round. We often went there for Belgian beer, and it was delicious as always~☆ I didn't expect they had a course menu this time! It was great to catch up from nostalgic stories to recent updates. Everyone was doing well~☆

The beer and food selection at this place is extensive, and it should be a comfortable environment. However, the staff seemed disinterested and provided unfriendly service throughout. It's a shame because with better staff, they could easily make up for average drinks and food.

The shop is located underground, and from the entrance, it has a fun atmosphere. Inside, beer bottles line the walls, giving a Pirates of the Caribbean vibe. There are many different types of beer in the fridge, and the staff recommended some to us. We made a reservation for two people and went. It seems like there are only counter seats for small groups of around two people. For groups of four or more, you can use table seats. Beers are sold by the bottle, and it's around 1500 yen per bottle. One bottle was enough for me.

The braised meat was delicious, as well as the assorted sausages, and the cozy hidden atmosphere downstairs was great. However, it was a bit annoying that the staff kept coming to clear plates constantly, and the beer was expensive. I was also distracted by the conversation from the next table.笑

I have been coming here for decades, but it's been a while since my last visit. We went on a Sunday around 4:40 pm with a group of three. There were four customers already inside, but the restaurant was empty. We ordered Belgian fries, shrimp cream croquettes, and three types of beer. The food was consistently delicious as always.

I had been curious about this place for a while and finally decided to stop by. The interior was calm and perfect for enjoying a leisurely drink. The highlight was the fridge filled with a huge selection of beers! You can choose your favorite and pay at the counter, with so many options I wanted to try them all. The beef was also well-cooked and deliciously tender.

We went to a Belgian beer bar to bid farewell to a colleague who is transferring to America, which was a bit of a stretch in terms of concept, but it turned out to be a great choice! The atmosphere was nice, with a large fridge filled with many unfamiliar Belgian beers. The interior was dimly lit, creating a moody ambiance. After about an hour, the place started to get crowded. They had 5-6 types of draft beers, including pilsner, pale ale, Guinness, and fruit-flavored beers that were easy for women to drink. We tried a variety of beers along with dishes like fisherman's potatoes, a platter of sausages, hot chicken, and mussels steamed in white wine. Usually, in this type of place, the food is not that great, but we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was. The mussels were especially good, and they even turned the leftover broth into risotto. Although I would like to become more knowledgeable about beer and savor them, I was very satisfied with the experience. It seems like a good place for a light beer-drinking session for a second round. The food was delicious, thank you for the feast!

As a beer lover, I took my wife here for her birthday celebration. The store specializes in Belgian beers and has over 100 varieties in a huge refrigerator. It was so fun, but honestly, there were so many options that we couldn't decide. It's interesting to visit this kind of unique store once in a while!

You can enjoy a wide variety of beers here. The atmosphere is dark and has a typical bar feel. The prices for both food and drinks are on the higher side, so it's better for a quick drink as a second stop rather than the first. They have interesting beers that you may not have seen before, which is nice.

The staff's service was excellent. We used the all-you-can-drink plan, and they brought our drinks quickly, cleared away empty plates promptly, and even took a group photo for us without any fuss.

The shop is located underground along the Koshu Kaido street, near the south exit of Shinjuku station. It's a bit hard to find, and I passed by it at first. However, it has a cozy hidden gem vibe underground, more like a bar than an izakaya, which is quite nice. It's suitable for chatting with a few people. The dishes are a bit rich, but they go well with beer. The mussels are delicious, and you can order risotto with the broth at the end. But, the beer here is quite expensive compared to regular izakayas. As a result, the bill ended up being higher than expected, so we headed home feeling a bit disappointed that it wasn't the casual, budget-friendly experience we were hoping for.

This shop has a selection of beers from Belgium, Germany, and Estonia, making it a great recommendation for beer lovers. The atmosphere inside is dimly lit and cozy, and all the dishes are delicious. In particular, the mussel risotto was delicious. With a budget of around 5,000 yen, you can enjoy three beers and a tasty meal, making it highly recommended.

I was invited by a beer enthusiast to come all the way to Shinjuku, a place I rarely visit. As I descended the stairs and entered the shop, I saw a whole row of beers lined up in the refrigerated case. My acquaintance seemed to be a regular here, chatting with the owner. It seemed to be a Belgian beer specialty shop. My acquaintance ordered a Guinness draft first, so I followed suit. The Guinness had a clover-like pattern drawn in the foam. I wonder what you call this. Foam art? When it comes to Belgian beer, you have to have fries, right? So we ordered that first. We also had mussels and beef cheek stew. I finished the Guinness quickly, so this time I chose a beer called "DE POES HOUBLON" from the showcase on a whim. It was a refreshing beer with a pleasant aroma. After eating the mussels, they said they could turn it into risotto, so I asked for that. All the dishes were delicious. Finally, I chose a beer called "Paardevlees" with a Christmas-like label on a whim. It was a bitter and robust beer. Lately, I've been going to beer bars one after another and just drinking beer, and I'm starting to like beer more and more. Imported beers are quite expensive these days, but it's nice to indulge once in a while. It was a fun time.

With over 160 types of beer in the fridge, Onion Ring is a place where beer lovers can enjoy Belgian traditional dishes and European cuisine. The combination of beer and dishes is perfect! The assorted sausage platter allows you to try various types of sausages. The smoked salmon carpaccio and tender mussel a la ajillo are also delicious choices. It's a joy to be able to enjoy so many different dishes! The beers include Roman Pils for a toast, Chef Nice Label with a cute Santa design and a caramel taste, and Barbu Noel with a refreshing citrus flavor. Cheers!

I visited this restaurant for lunch, which I had been curious about for a while. I'm not very familiar with the Ube area, so I asked the staff about the parking situation and was told that I could park in the spaces along the road if they were available. The interior of the restaurant had an L-shaped counter surrounding the kitchen, as well as a few box table seats, where I was seated. There was a small step to get to the seat, and I almost tripped on it when leaving, so be careful. I ordered the Pasta or Pizza lunch set, which included a salad, pasta or pizza of the day, bread, dessert, and coffee or tea. I chose the Amatriciana (bacon and onion tomato sauce) from the pasta of the day, and also ordered the seafood Carbonara from the regular menu for an additional fee. The seafood Carbonara was delicious, with a creamy sauce full of seafood flavors. The pasta was freshly cooked and hot, which was great. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and when I asked if they sourced it from a bakery, I was told that it was homemade and freshly baked. I also took two pieces to go on my way out. The dessert of the day was a combination of white chocolate cream roll cake, Italian Mascarpone tiramisu, peach panna cotta with jelly. It was a small portion but a nice variety to enjoy. Thank you for the meal.
