Understood, probably people over 60 will get it lol. The score at the time of the visit was 3.46 (August 2023). On the 3rd day of using the 2023 Summer Youth 18 Ticket, I transferred from Kita-Senju to Ueno, Shimbashi, Odawara, Atami, Kotsu, Hamamatsu, Toyohashi, Ogaki, Maibara, and Kyoto, with a meal and bathroom break in Odawara, and finally a bathroom break at Kyoto Station after 7 hours. In winter, this would be unthinkable. After all, old guys have very close access to bathrooms lol. In simple terms, it was probably dehydration. Older people are less likely to show symptoms. When I arrived at Kyoto Station, I casually headed to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant called Ikoka, but it was surprisingly crowded, probably due to the inbound effect! And once I got to the front of the line, customers just wouldn't leave (cry). I spent a leisurely time in a lively atmosphere lol. After 25 minutes, I finally got inside. The ordering method was to either take the rotating dishes or tell the staff _______. The prices were: Draft beer 605 yen (excluding tax), Sweet shrimp 161 yen (excluding tax), Squid legs 161 yen (excluding tax), Red shellfish 161 yen (excluding tax), Negitoro 161 yen (excluding tax), Boiled pike conger eel 509 yen (excluding tax). The draft beer was Asahi's Silver Asahi, which has recently slimmed down. Unacceptable! If they had bottled beer, I would have chosen that. The tea was in T bags, not powdered, as I tend to put too much when it's powdered, especially with many inbound customers who don't know what they're doing. Negitoro with duck is like a battleship roll, so I take off the pickled ginger, put it on a plate, and dip it in soy sauce. The squid legs are quite large and recommended. The red shellfish can't compare to the one I had in Kanazawa, but it's not bad considering the price. The sweet shrimp has a stable sweetness and is a must-have at conveyor belt sushi restaurants. I splurged on the boiled pike conger eel because it has plum meat on top, so you can't eat it as is! I need some sake! I'm almost dehydrated, so I'll stop here (sweat). This is the south exit, so should I walk through the underground passage and come out near the tower and walk to Gojo? The construction in front of Higashi Honganji Temple was also completed. And with that, thank you. Bon appétit. The bill was paid with PayPay.

Since coming to Kyoto, I have always wanted to stay overnight and try the famous pufferfish dish. This year, my wish finally came true. Although I couldn't taste the dish at a traditional pufferfish restaurant in the area, I truly felt that Kyoto is the birthplace of pufferfish cuisine. I was able to eat pufferfish, even at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Amazing!

It was still around 5 pm in the evening, but I decided to grab dinner before getting on the Shinkansen. The restaurant was already quite crowded. I started with a beer and ordered items like albacore tuna, yellowtail, ark shell, red clam, and sweet shrimp. The dishes came out fairly quickly, depending on how busy it was. The sushi was of standard quality for a conveyor belt sushi restaurant and tasted delicious.

A reasonably priced conveyor belt sushi restaurant inside Kyoto Station. It's a good option to pass the time while waiting for a train. The sushi is delicious and fresh. It may be a bit more expensive than national chains, but it's a good conveyor belt sushi restaurant. I think conveyor belt sushi restaurants these days are all well-made. They have to work hard to survive because the big chains are strong.

Today's work, in the second half starting from 7 pm, I had about an hour to spare so I went to Kaiten Sushi Musashi at Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit. Usually, there is a line, but this time I was lucky to enter smoothly. When it comes to Musashi, the must-order item is the mountain yam and quail egg sushi! In the past, there was a sushi restaurant called Atom Boy in Seta that had many menu items, but the mountain yam and quail egg sushi was the most popular by far. However, Atom Boy seems to have disappeared from the neighborhood and the number of sushi restaurants offering mountain yam and quail egg sushi has decreased significantly. As far as I know, the only places that serve mountain yam and quail egg sushi are Musashi and Uogashi at Aeon Mall Kyoto. As the self-proclaimed president of the Mountain Yam and Quail Egg Sushi Preservation Society, I sincerely hope that everyone who reads this review will try the mountain yam and quail egg sushi. It's delicious and highly recommended! Visited around 5 pm on Sunday. There was already a line forming, but we were seated promptly. What stood out was the large number of foreign customers! It seemed like everyone around us was from overseas. Prices are relatively reasonable. A great place for a quick bite and drink.

Today, the second place I studied at was this shop located inside Kyoto Station. I entered the shop at 11 o'clock on Monday. The place was about half full, with about 80% of the customers being foreign tourists. It's not the usual style where you order with a tablet, but instead, there is a conveyor belt with sushi plates passing by constantly, and you can order if something catches your eye. As for the sushi itself, considering the price, the slices of fish are thick, and the rice is hand-pressed, giving it a fluffy texture.

This is my first visit here. Long ago, the people from the upper class used to go to Musashi-san. I came here to eat the pressed sushi of conger eel that they are known for. This time, I visited a nearby Musashi-san. Of course, I ate the pressed sushi, but it was a bit different from what I remembered. Nevertheless, it was nostalgic and delicious. Recently, I haven't been able to find toro quail eggs at conveyor belt sushi restaurants, but they had it here. It was delicious. I wonder how many plates I added to my favorites. The restaurant only has a counter, and each person is separated. It feels a bit cramped, but it's convenient since it's close to the station. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Sushi Musashi Kyoto Station Hachijo-guchi Store" located in Asty Road Omotenashi Koji near the Hachijo exit of Kyoto Station around 12:30 with one person. It is a local rotating sushi restaurant, not a major chain, that I had been interested in. The following is an excerpt from the official website's "commitment" section: (Rice) Thoroughly managed from cultivation to storage and cooked to a plump texture. It is an original blend that brings out the characteristics of the three brands of Koshihikari from Harima, Bizen, and Asahi rice. (Vinegar) A refreshing natural vinegar with plenty of umami and flavor from natural kelp that enhances the taste of sushi rice. The seasoning is made with sugar only, without using synthetic sweeteners, resulting in a refreshing aftertaste. (Ingredients) Some ingredients (horse mackerel, white fish, etc.) are purchased directly at Miyazu fishing port, where Kyoto's "fishermen" catch fish, ensuring freshness for Sushi Musashi. Please enjoy the special taste of Musashi. (Soy sauce) A blend of long-aged "Tamari" and genuine "Koikuchi" soy sauce from the famous brewing area of Tatsuno, Harima, using healthy soybeans and wheat as raw materials. It is an original seasoning made with a secret seasoning blend. (Tea) A blend of the fragrant Shizuoka tea, the elegant Uji tea, and the mellow sweet Ureshino tea, using a secret blending method with a refreshing flavor that makes you want to eat more. A sensational taste that is causing a buzz. (End of quote) You can tell that each ingredient is carefully selected. [Dishes we had] ★Maguro (2 pieces) 160 yen ★Domestic fresh bluefin tuna lean meat (2 pieces) 400 yen ★Domestic fresh bluefin tuna medium fatty tuna (2 pieces) 509 yen ★Domestic fresh bluefin tuna fatty tuna (1 piece) 509 yen ★Seared eel (2 pieces) 400 yen ★Red shrimp (1 piece) 160 yen ★Toro salmon (1 piece) 160 yen ★Sea urchin (2 pieces) 509 yen We also had several other plates. The minimum price per plate is 160 yen, so the pricing is slightly higher compared to other major revolving sushi chains. The most delicious ones were definitely the domestic fresh bluefin tuna lean meat, medium fatty tuna, and fatty tuna. The taste of the domestic fresh bluefin tuna is exceptional. It has a strong tuna flavor that reminds you that this is indeed tuna. [Overall assessment] Located inside Kyoto Station Hachijo-guchi, the restaurant tends to have long lines. I felt that the quality of each plate is slightly higher compared to major chains. I highly recommend the domestic fresh bluefin tuna. If possible, try tasting them side by side. It was a feast. #Sushi #Sushi #Sushi #RevolvingSushi #RevolvingSushi #RevolvingSushi #RevolvingSushi #Gourmet #KyotoGourmet #KyotoStationGourmet #HachijoGourmet #KyotoSushi #KyotoSushi #KyotoSushi #GourmetClub #KyotoGourmetClub #AstyRoad #WantToConnectWithGourmetLovers

On the way back from Kyoto to Tokyo, I was hungry as I hadn't had dinner and wanted to get home quickly. So I stopped at Kaitenzushi Musashi for the first time in a while and decided to dine in. There was no wait, and I indulged in a variety of sushi dishes such as striped jack, squid legs, sweet shrimp, seared bonito, squid, tekka maki, grilled salmon belly, flounder, pressed eel sushi, eel, fatty salmon, prawn, raw shrimp, salmon roe, battered and fried dish, egg, raw bluefin tuna, and fatty tuna roll. I've been eating less lately, usually only having about 5 plates at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but on this day, my appetite exploded, and I ate so much! This conveyor belt sushi place is truly delicious, isn't it?

I wanted to have sushi on my last night in Kyoto, so I looked around and found a place with an available seat. It was a Saturday night and the place was busy with customers coming and going. The sushi was rotating on a conveyor belt with a wide variety of options. Most of the menu items were already on the belt, so I didn't have to order separately, which was convenient. They mentioned that the fish was delivered directly from Miyazu, so I could eat the same fish that was there just a moment ago. The freshness and flavors of each piece of sushi were exceptional, unlike the usual conveyor belt sushi places. I decided to splurge and ordered some medium fatty tuna, which just melted in my mouth. It would have been nice if they had a wider selection of drinks, but overall it was a great dining experience!

This day coincided with the Gion Festival and the area near Kawaramachi was very crowded, so we headed to the station early and happened to find this place for the first time. The counter at the conveyor belt sushi restaurant is close to the next seat, but there are partitions between each seat as a virus infection prevention measure, so we were able to enjoy our meal with peace of mind. Cheers with a highball. I enjoyed my favorite fatty tuna, shrimp, octopus, ark shell, and eel sushi, among others. And I was very surprised by the reasonable prices. It's strange how even if I'm not very hungry, I can still eat sushi so easily. Haha. The bill came to 1480 yen. The atmosphere was welcoming for solo diners as well. I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Despite being in Kyoto, I suddenly had a strong craving for sushi and decided to visit this restaurant. Located in a corner of Kyoto Station, the prices were very reasonable at 146 yen per plate, with special sushi at 364 yen and premium sushi at 463 yen. The restaurant was full, but I was able to get a seat without much of a wait, as not many people seem to come to Kyoto specifically for conveyor belt sushi. The sushi was fresh and delicious.

I usually stare at the touch panel while using the 2000 yen coupon, but this time it was fun to pick sushi from the rotating belt without looking at it. In a way, the sushi on the belt without a touch panel felt fresher, and I thought the restaurant could increase its profit margin by operating more efficiently without touch panels. #16th restaurant in Kyoto #End of this Kyoto trip #Kyoto Station #Rotating sushi #Sushi no Musashi

I used this place for dinner when transferring trains. It's convenient for transfers being located inside the station, and the prices are similar to regular conveyor belt sushi restaurants in town. In fact, it's even more affordable. There were a few people waiting at the entrance, but the sushi was rotating quickly, so I didn't have to wait long to get inside. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of sushi on the menu and the rotating belt. They had not only typical sushi but also a wide range of options. I ordered a half-and-half plate of lean horse meat and fatty horse meat, which I enjoyed after a long time. They even had seared pufferfish, which is not something you see often at conveyor belt sushi places. The standard sushi was delicious as well, so I understood why there was a line. With such a variety of sushi, I couldn't stop eating and ended up eating too much. I was very satisfied.

Located in Kyoto Station's Hachijo-guchi area, this restaurant is part of the "Kyoto Omotenashi Koji" where various shops and eateries are lined up. The main branch is on Kawaramachi Street, near Sanjo. The dishes are priced in three tiers: 160 yen, 400 yen, and 509 yen (tax included). While I wish it was a flat 500 yen, I enjoyed the recommended dishes of golden eye snapper, tuna, and flounder one after another. Quite delicious! I think the quality exceeds the price. The only alcoholic beverage option is beer. Thank you for the meal.

"Sushi Musashi" is a revolving sushi restaurant located below the Shinkansen platform at Kyoto Station. Unlike many modern conveyor belt sushi restaurants where you order directly and the sushi is delivered to you on a "special express lane", at this restaurant, the sushi actually rotates on the lane as the chef prepares and places them on it. This traditional setup is a sight to behold, with sushi moving along the lane and chefs skillfully timing and placing new plates on it. In a time where ingredient costs are rising, reducing waste is crucial, and the sight of sushi moving seamlessly along the lane is truly impressive. The joy of seeing your desired sushi pass by and deciding what to eat next, reminiscent of fishing for your favorite dish, is a unique experience that sets it apart from other conveyor belt sushi restaurants. The fact that most plates are priced at only ¥150 each adds to the excitement. This restaurant truly captures the essence of Kansai, the birthplace of conveyor belt sushi.

Kyoto. I found this restaurant at the Hachijo-guchi exit of Kyoto Station while looking for a lunch spot, and decided to give it a try. It was a revolving sushi restaurant, which seemed like a good choice as you can eat as much as you want based on your appetite. The interior of the restaurant was quite spacious and impressive, with only counter seats available. I resisted the urge to start with beer and ordered a miso soup instead. The plates passing in front of me were varied, with some looking expensive and colorful. The menu indicated that the prices varied depending on the plate color. The conveyor belt was constantly filled with sushi by the chefs, and although you could also order specific sushi, I opted to choose from the belt. I ended up having squid, tuna, fatty tuna, shrimp, and eel sushi. Despite not being very hungry, I ended up eating quite a lot. The taste was average, nothing extraordinary. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this restaurant again.

Today, I attended a work-related seminar in Kyoto. After the seminar ended around 4:30 pm, I was feeling hungry as I hadn't had lunch. I searched on Tabelog and found a revolving sushi restaurant at Kyoto Station, so I decided to go there. I arrived at Sushi no Musashi around 4:30 pm, and there were 3 groups of customers ahead of me. A male staff member welcomed me and showed me to my seat at the counter. The open kitchen setup made me feel comfortable as I could see the chefs preparing the dishes. I checked the menu which had sushi plates priced at 160 yen, 400 yen, and 500 yen. I started picking dishes from the revolving belt. Here is what I ate: - Giant clam (160 yen) - Saury (160 yen) - Canadian surf clam salad (160 yen) - Yellowtail (160 yen) - Marinated tuna (160 yen) - Mackerel sushi roll (160 yen) - Whelk (160 yen) - Spicy cod roe with mayonnaise (160 yen) - Spicy tuna roll (3/4 roll) (160 yen) - Canadian surf clam salad (160 yen) - Grilled conger eel (160 yen) - Canadian surf clam salad (160 yen) - Homemade clam red miso soup (220 yen) The sushi rice was slightly sweet and easy to eat. The rice portion was just right. Here are my thoughts on some of the dishes: - The giant clam had a crunchy texture. - The smoked saury had a nice aroma. - The Canadian surf clam salad with mayonnaise was delicious. - The yellowtail had a good amount of fat. - The marinated tuna was subtly sweet. - The mackerel sushi roll was wrapped in shredded seaweed and had egg and cucumber inside. - The whelk had a chewy texture. - The spicy cod roe with mayonnaise was tasty. - The spicy tuna roll was satisfying. - The grilled conger eel was a good way to finish the meal. - The homemade clam red miso soup had a perfect saltiness. Eating at a revolving sushi restaurant in Kyoto Station was convenient and satisfying. The food wasn't exceptional, but there was something about it that made me keep eating. In the end, I was full and satisfied. Thank you for the meal.
