I chose bread over rice, and the French bread was slightly chewy on the inside and very crispy on the outside, with a delicious flavor. The coffee served after the meal was strong and delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant was a bit noisy and busy, and the service was a bit rushed and impersonal. I visited a traditional French restaurant in an old-fashioned town that had a good reputation. The interior had a counter on the first floor and table seats on the second floor, so we were usually seated on the second floor. The napkins had an original swan design, which was cute. Lunch started from around 900 yen, but my husband and I were curious about the "B Lunch Coarse-ground Hamburg & Shrimp Fry" priced at 1,960 yen, so we ordered that. We were served bread, soup, and salad. The soup was delicious! It was a classic thick and creamy corn soup, which was very satisfying. The bread was large, with a crispy crust, soft inside, and a slightly salty taste. It was the type of bread I liked. At this point, we were quite satisfied and our stomachs were quite full. I gave one of the two breads to my husband. The shrimp fry had a thick and juicy shrimp inside with a crispy coating. The hamburger was so thick that I couldn't cut it with chopsticks. It was packed with meat and had a meaty texture, even more than a steak. It was cooked thoroughly inside, and the demi-glace sauce had a deep flavor. The combination of the meat and sauce was amazing. The hamburger was so thick that I felt like asking for extra sauce. I requested a cute plate when ordering, as I had seen in reviews. Coffee or tea also came with the meal. Even though I gave my husband one bread, he was already full! The +130 yen extra rice he ordered was also a huge portion! It was a very filling meal. When we visited on a holiday, the second floor was almost full. The age group was older, and most people were eating quietly, so we could relax. It's reassuring to make a reservation. The bread and soup were delicious, and the meatiness of the hamburger was impressive! The restaurant is conveniently located near JR Uji Station, but there is no parking lot. The restaurant is also taking thorough measures against COVID-19.

The first floor had a counter with available seats and a kitchen, and we were led to the second floor. There was only one lady serving on the floor. We both had a satisfying lunch. I think serving food on larger plates makes it easier to eat.

The main dish consisted of a large pork cutlet with mustard sauce drizzled in a mesh pattern. The meat was tender and flavorful, with the mustard adding a nice kick to the sauce. The shrimp fry was served with homemade tartar sauce. The shrimp was firm and tasty, and the mild tartar sauce was delicious. Even the macaroni salad on the side was tasty. After the meal, I enjoyed a drink from the set and relaxed before leaving. It was another fulfilling and delicious lunchtime. Today, my family and I came to this place recommended by Mairebi (ФωФ). It's a Western-style restaurant located on a narrow street right in the middle between JR Uji Station and Uji Hashi Street. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with soft background music playing. The interior is small, with a kitchen at the back of the 1st floor, a high counter with 4 seats in the front, and a spacious 2nd floor with 7 tables for 2-4 people each. The place is run by a couple in their 40s or 50s. The menu offers a variety of dishes including set meals with a choice of rice or bread, pasta, and more. I chose the "Special Lunch" which had two main options, and I went for the "Breaded Pork Loin with Tomato Sauce" since they were out of oyster fry that day. My family enjoyed the "Cream Croquette" with rice. We had iced coffee and milk tea for drinks. The restaurant was about 70% full as it was a holiday. We started with a comforting onion consommé soup, followed by our rice dishes and a plate with the main courses. The rice was actually mixed grain rice, not white rice. The breaded pork loin with tomato sauce was delicious with a nice balance of flavors. The white fish fry with tartar sauce was also tasty. The vegetable salad was fresh and colorful. Overall, everything was well-prepared and we enjoyed our meal. I was a bit disappointed that the rice wasn't white rice, but I would definitely come back during oyster season. The service was good. It had plenty of vegetables and sautéed chicken, and was quite filling. It had a barbecue sauce-like topping. The vegetables included bell peppers, eggplants, paprika, onions, and more, providing a variety of textures to enjoy. The chicken was tender and fluffy. The sauce was good, but a bit too thick and sticky. I preferred the previous version of the sauce that I had before. However, the chicken and vegetables were still delicious. The salad was crunchy, the rice was glossy, and the soup was also very tasty. I enjoyed my meal this day as well, but I hope they go back to the previous type of sauce. The Cream Croquette Lunch (with a drink) costs 1,050 yen and includes soup, salad, main dish, rice (or bread), and a drink. The egg soup here is very delicious and I love it. The salad is lively and fresh, making you feel the vitality of the ingredients. The main dish is well presented. Under the two minced cutlets, there is sautéed vegetables hidden, so you can enjoy vegetables not only in the salad but also in the main dish. When you split the cream croquette with chopsticks, you can see plenty of mushrooms and vegetables inside the cream. The cream has a refined sweetness, and the texture of the mushrooms is great. Cream croquette is my favorite here after all. The fried small potatoes were delicious too. The vegetables were delicious on their own or mixed with the cream. And the rice was glossy and fantastic. After the meal, I relaxed with iced tea. It was delicious again today. It had been a while, so I felt particularly satisfied. If you love cream croquettes, I recommend trying the ones here. "Oufu Ryori Suwan" is open for regular business during the Obon holiday. They offer a dinner "Pasta Course" which includes an appetizer platter, soup, salad, dessert, and a drink for around 2000 yen.
