My son bought this Mont Blanc cake for me on his way to a drive in Fukuchiyama. He waited in line for 30 minutes with a cooler box just to get it for me. It was so delicious, with a fluffy sponge and a rich chestnut paste. I initially thought the color was dull when I opened the box, but I realized it's because they don't use artificial coloring. It had enough to serve about 4 people, but it was so good that I could have eaten it all by myself. It's a limited edition item starting in September, and they don't take reservations, so it's worth waiting in line for. I'll definitely try to get it again next year!

I purchased the Mont Blanc that I look forward to every year at this time. It comes in a rectangular case, not the typical cake shape, and is made with Tamba chestnuts. The custard cream and whipped cream are not too sweet, making it easy to eat bite after bite. Unfortunately, reservations or holds are not accepted, so there is sometimes a worry about it being sold out.

This shop is famous for its Danba chestnut Mont Blanc. The main store seems to be in Danba, but there is a branch in Fukuchiyama, so I decided to stop by. Their Mont Blanc, which is like a Hinomaru bento, is famous, but this time I tried the regular Mont Blanc. I also had the zenzai with Danba chestnuts. It was a bit sweet, but I enjoyed it. It's nice to try seasonal items.

When I go on a long trip, it almost always seems to rain. This time, I ended up at the famous sweets shop "Yanagawa", although not at the main store in Tanba City, Hyogo Prefecture. Passing through Tanba City, I finally arrived at the Fukuchiyama store in Kyoto. I left home early because it's far, so I got there too early. Opening at 10 am. They have Baumkuchen named "Tanshin" after Tanba Denshin. Also, baked sweets and cup Mont Blanc made from Tanba harvest. All tempting, but what I'm looking for is not these. My goal is this Mont Blanc cake. One person can reserve up to two. Reservation not available. The season has come!! The chestnuts are amazing, once you take a bite, you can't stop, it's addictive. Due to its popularity, please understand if it's sold out. Last time I visited the main store in Tanba City, I was a bit late and couldn't get it, but this time I was the first at the Fukuchiyama store and got it to go. When you think of Mont Blanc cake, you might imagine chestnut cream in a noodle-like shape, but this Mont Blanc reminds me of a Japanese bento box. Opening the treasure box. A fluffy sponge cake topped with custard cream made from fresh milk from Tanba dairy farmers and local fresh eggs. On top of that, pure whipped cream is added, and Tanba chestnut paste is spread out like rice grains. In the middle, the highest quality Tanba chestnut sits proudly. This is the essence of a Japanese Mont Blanc! Oh, I forgot to take a picture of the Japanese flag with my DSLR, but it's okay, please check out my Twitter. Yumeno Sato Yanagawa Fukuchiyama store.

This is a review of a visit to Fukuchiyama Castle in Tokyo. The writer stumbled upon a bakery near the station and bought a cake called "丹波まるごとケーキドーナツ くりと黒豆". The cake was moist and delicious, with a strong taste of chestnuts and black beans. The writer regretted not buying more of them.

I used this store on January 30, 2016. I had visited the main store in Kasuga-cho, Tanba City on October 18, 2015, but I never thought there would be a branch in Fukuchiyama. What I had on this day was a Mont Blanc with the flavor of Tanba chestnut, with a very smooth custard cream, whipped cream, and a fluffy sponge cake at the bottom. The Tanba chestnut was like a paste, with Tanba chestnut simmered in tannin in the middle. It was a great match with the two types of cream and soft sponge. I bought a large pack last time, but this time I opted for a single serving. I had a delicious treat after a long time. I also bought two other cakes as souvenirs for my family today. I definitely want to visit again. I didn't know there was one in Fukuchiyama. I had no idea. I found this store by chance while strolling through Fukuchiyama, but I had been on a solo assignment in Tanba for four years, so I should have known this store. When you think of Tanba, you think of autumn, with matsutake mushrooms and chestnuts. I had a delicious treat after a long time. I bought a slightly larger pack last time, but this time I bought a convenient option and several other sweets. I also grow Tanba chestnuts at home, but it's no match for the real thing. The large temperature difference between morning and evening in places like Sasayama and Kashiwara must be what gives the rich taste of Tanba chestnuts. Thank you for the delicious meal. It was an unexpected encounter on this day, but it was a very delicious treat. I definitely want to visit again.

On March 8, 2015, I bought a strawberry cake from Dainagon Tanba. It came in a box that looked like it might contain manju (Japanese confection), but it was actually a proper cake. When I opened it, I found a plastic tray with whipped cream and sliced strawberries neatly arranged. I thought it was just a regular cake, but when I tasted it, I discovered red bean paste hidden at the bottom. The sponge cake was lined with red bean paste, and custard cream was drizzled around the edge, hiding the red bean paste. It was a surprising cake that you only realize once you start eating it! It was so interesting and fun to eat!

I bought a favorite pudding at a shop that uses specialty products from Tamba to create unique sweets that can only be tasted in Tamba! The product name is "Tamba Smooth Pudding". When I tried it, it had a smooth texture and a rich flavor. It was delicious! I finished it in no time. I would definitely buy and eat it again if I come across it.

This time last year, I used the takeout service. I have eaten their products before, but it was my first time buying them at the store. There were only a few items in the showcase, which gave a somewhat lonely impression (laughs). However, I came here because I saw an article about Mont Blanc in the Ryotan newspaper, so I first got that. It was the last one, so I asked if it would sell out, and they said it might be sold out by evening. Lucky me (laughs). To add to it, I also bought a Swiss roll. It looks simple, but the reasonable price and the volume tempted me (laughs). It would make a nice souvenir too, right? The Mont Blanc has a vibe like a Hinomaru bento (laughs). The Tamba chestnuts are processed in various ways, creating layers like cream or sweetened chestnut paste. Some parts are sticky, some are crumbly, and the big chestnut in the middle is candied, with a rich sweetness! Each layer has a different texture and flavor, showing attention to detail. However, overall it's a bit less sweet, more suited for adults maybe? It seems like it would appeal to men too. I had high hopes for the Mont Blanc, but surprisingly, I liked the Swiss roll more! The whipped cream has just the right sweetness, and the sponge cake is fluffy. I really liked it. The Mont Blanc costs 1200 yen before tax, while the Swiss roll is 1000 yen before tax. The Mont Blanc may be more unique, but for a solid souvenir, I recommend the Swiss roll!

Opposite of Kohnan, there is a castella shop? I was drawn to the banner of Tamba roll and bought various items. The Tamba roll was overall not too sweet, but I couldn't really tell what was Tamba about it. The roll itself was quite ordinary. The whipped cream was light and plant-based. The cream inside didn't have the taste or aroma of eggs. The cream-filled choux pastry they made on the spot also didn't allow you to enjoy the aroma of vanilla, eggs, or milk. The madeleine had a moist texture and was delicious. The baked donuts were a bit heavy. The cheap and delicious castella end pieces made me think that the main castella might be good too.

My first visit was around 2010. I happened to find a shop near Fukuchiyama Station. I bought handmade chestnut manju and it was delicious with not too sweet chestnut filling. I visited again in March 2012 and bought more chestnut manju. I wish it was closer so I could buy it as a gift. They also had roll cakes and cream puffs that caught my attention. I heard they have a shop in a department store in Umeda too. I'm curious about their product lineup.

It is located right in front of the Corner near Fukuchiyama Station. The atmosphere was nice, and it seems that they also supply to department stores (there was a notice about it in the shop). I tried their cakes for the first time. I had two types of Summer Rolls (matcha and blueberry). On top of the roll cake, there were plenty of matcha and blueberry Bavarois cubes, and the whipped cream on top was also voluminous. It's not too light, so even children would enjoy it. Also, they recommend the roll cake and cream-filled choux pastry that you can buy on the spot. They also have small cheesecakes, financiers that seem useful for gifts, and various black bean products. It seems like you can also eat in the shop!

I received a roll cake as a souvenir. It's a roll cake from a shop that I have been trying various cakes from lately, like Mont Blanc. It's probably a standard item, but it's delicious with two types of cream. The moist cake and cream are well balanced. I'm happy that it has custard and whipped cream, and it's pleasantly sweet and tasty. It's a simple roll cake, but I like to enjoy this type of roll cake with black coffee.
