I was very happy to be able to eat something that looked good on Instagram. There were a lot of foreign tourists because of the typhoon, but it wasn't as crowded as on TV, so I was able to get in smoothly. It was almost empty, like having the place to ourselves. The matcha tiramisu was more delicious than the cloud mousse! I also enjoyed the charcoal matcha latte. The restaurant and the menu were both Instagram-worthy. It was a cute and delicious meal.

I went to a popular cloud tea cafe in Arashiyama that I was curious about. The terrace seats offer a great view of the beautiful scenery of Arashiyama. The matcha latte was delicious, but the latte art may start to fade over time, so I recommend taking a photo quickly.

There is a cafe in Arashiyama that is Instagrammable. The Arashiyama branch has two floors with a very cute interior. They offer desserts like cloud bamboo tube tiramisu and mousse. I ordered the tiramisu and iced coffee separately. The drinks in the set menu were served in glasses, while the others were in plastic cups. The tiramisu didn't have much of a tiramisu flavor, more like sponge cake and cream. If you're looking for cuteness, it's good, but for taste, you might prefer another cafe.笑

Cloud Bamboo Charcoal Tiramisu Set (980 yen) The cake size is small, but I felt quite satisfied with the drink included. The Bamboo Charcoal Matcha Latte and Matcha Latte are said to taste the same, with only a difference in color! I wanted a hot drink, so I chose the Matcha Latte! It was my first time trying Matcha Latte, and I was surprised by how delicious it was! The bitterness of the matcha was not too strong, and the sweetness was mild. The Tiramisu was also delicious with a creamy texture. Even if you're not a big fan of matcha, you might still enjoy it!

On the second day, we went to Arashiyama. Unfortunately, it was raining. We took the Randen train to get there. Along the way to Togetsukyo Bridge, we browsed through various shops. We went into cute chirimen goods stores, character shops, and bought some items that caught our eye. This particular shop was one my daughter had been wanting to visit for a while. Let's try the cloud-shaped sweets that are often seen on Instagram! The sweets in bamboo tubes were already sold out, so we opted for the cloud-shaped mousse for two. The seating inside was full at that time. Despite the full house, people left as soon as they finished eating, so we didn't have to wait long. The staff quickly cleaned up and prepared seats when they became available, which was reassuring. The mousse had a crispy texture when the spoon was inserted, possibly due to the chocolate coating. Inside, there was sponge cake and red bean paste. The strawberry one had a strawberry jam-like filling. The sweetness was not overpowering, and the sweets were quite light and easy to eat. I had a hot hojicha latte. Even though it wasn't too cold due to the rain, drinking a hot beverage still felt comforting.

The dumplings have a nice black sesame flavor, and the matcha cream is rich and goes well with the dumplings. The bamboo cake is cute and has a taste reminiscent of Arashiyama. The bamboo tube has a slightly chewy texture, and both the chestnut paste and matcha inside are rich. The parfait is super rich and goes well with the matcha paste. Under the cookie is matcha cream, which has a fluffy texture, and the matcha flavor lingers in your nose at the end. The strawberry yogurt and strawberry acidity are just right, giving a refreshing finish.

I visited in the evening! I ordered something like charcoal matcha. It felt stronger than regular matcha. Inside the bamboo was a mousse cake! The black sesame dango was also delicious. There were seats on the 1st and 2nd floors, with about 4 tables on the 2nd floor. There were mostly young people. I went a bit late so I could eat at a table, but it seemed a bit crowded around lunchtime. I forgot to order the cloud cake...

I visited a cafe that I was curious about! I often see it on social media, so I wanted to go when I came to Kyoto. The interior had a Kyoto-like atmosphere and was very photogenic. Every corner was cute. I ordered the Cloud Set this time! It included Cloud Mousse and Cloud Matcha Latte. The Cloud Mousse was fluffy with a matcha flavor and had red beans inside, just the right amount of sweetness and easy to eat. The Cloud Matcha Latte had a cute cloud latte art! There were many other menu items, so I would like to visit again when I go to Kyoto next time.

It's very cute, so I definitely recommend going on a girls' trip! The drink with the Mitarashi dango on top (I forgot the name) was the most delicious! As time passed, it sank, so taking a picture was a race against time (lol). There are plenty of food stalls in Arashiyama, but the drinks and food here are quite sweet, so I think it's better not to eat sweet things before coming here. We visited with 4 people, but it was quite crowded and difficult to secure seats (there were few seats for 4 people).

When you place an order and reserve a seat, the staff will prepare it for you. They really love young women here, which is a plus. The dessert with a cloud shape is matcha mousse, and the one inside the bamboo is matcha tiramisu. Both are delicious, but the tiramisu is especially amazing.

If there were no available seats, you could give your number to the staff and they would make your drink once a seat opened up. The charcoal matcha latte I ordered was delicious with a strong matcha flavor. The dessert seemed like a mousse, but other than the tea flavor, it was hard to distinguish. I also tried a bit of the tiramisu my companion ordered, and it was tastier than the dessert I had.

The process after entering was to first order and pay at the counter, receive a receipt with a number on it, secure a seat, and then inform the staff that you have secured a seat with your number. When your order is ready, your number is called, and you pick up your food at the designated area. I ordered the "Clouds and Storm Set" which included two sweets: bamboo mousse and black sesame dumplings. The bamboo mousse was a surprise as I thought it would be in a bamboo tube, but you could actually eat the bamboo itself. The set came with a choice of drink, and I chose the hot matcha latte. The latte art was cute with clouds. One thing that bothered me a bit was the messy presentation. Perhaps due to the crowd, the drink cup was dirty, the cream from the black sesame dumplings was smudged on the bamboo mousse plate, and the items were not neatly arranged. I had to clean the cup, arrange the items, and then take a picture. Cloud and Tea Cafe has four locations in Kyoto, each with a different concept, and I would like to visit the other locations as well as they all seem appealing.
