I entered the restaurant and bought a meal ticket for "Taiwan-style mixed noodles" in regular size. The minced meat is delicious and the noodles are homemade using 100% Hokkaido wheat. The green onions are Kyoto's Kujonegi, and the garlic chives are freshly delivered from a farm in Kochi Prefecture. The "Taiwan-style mixed noodles" are spicy but delicious, I would definitely want to eat it again.

Visited during lunch time on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. The restaurant was almost full, but I was seated at the counter without having to wait. I ordered using the ticket machine, getting the rich tantanmen and karasumi donburi. I used a coupon from the app that had been accumulating until today for the karasumi donburi. It took over 10 minutes from ordering to the dishes being served, probably due to the lunchtime rush. The rich tantanmen was delicious! It's probably a very unique dish that may not be to everyone's liking, but for me, it was amazing. The noodles were outstanding! I finished by diving the rice into the soup.

I arrived at around 8:30 pm on a regular day. The restaurant was almost full, indicating its popularity. I ordered the chicken white broth salt ramen that I have been eating since college. The creamy salt ramen was so delicious that I could eat it endlessly. I highly recommend trying the soup as well.

I revisited the local chain representing Kyoto, "Kirameki". When it comes to Taiwan maze soba in Kyoto, "Kirameki" is the place to go. Their chicken paitan is also a signature menu item with consistently reliable taste. The Chicken Paitan Ramen with salt (¥820) has a rich and creamy soup. It is packed with the umami of chicken and is well-balanced even for a challenging salt ramen. The noodles are just ordinary medium-sized straight noodles, but I think Kirameki's strength lies in the soup. It was delicious today as well, but I didn't feel as impressed as I did when I first tried it. Maybe it's because I've been going there too often.

Mid-afternoon on a hot summer day. I visited the restaurant without using a coupon and hoping to receive a surprise coupon. When I arrived around 3:30 pm, there were only a few other customers. It was very hot outside, and I was sweating a lot, so I ordered the Salt Kirameki Ramen for 870 yen. I also added a pork bowl with the coupon. The bowl arrived in about 5 minutes, slightly seared. I wish it had been seared a bit more. I was quite hungry, so I had a bit of the bowl before the ramen arrived. The ramen was a standard Salt Ramen with chicken broth, just as shown in the picture. The toppings included chicken chashu, white negi, lemon, greens, and menma. The menma, greens, and white negi were fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the chashu was cold and had lost some of its flavor. The soup seemed a bit grainy at first. After mixing it a bit and squeezing some lemon, it tasted better. The soup today was slightly powdery. The noodles were reliably delicious with a good texture. The highlight was definitely the noodles. It's great to find such delicious ramen at a chain restaurant. This restaurant in Kawaramachi Sanjo has been open for a while, and I appreciate that they are open all day.

Chicken white broth with soy sauce. As expected. Not addictive enough to be hooked, but still, there's Kairokei, Osho, and this place. I just happened to come here because Kairokei was crowded... Everyone has their own preferences. This place, popular among young people, doesn't quite suit my taste. I come here occasionally during the waiting period at my usual lunch spot, but it feels mysterious. I always feel sorry for the chefs, but it seems like my taste buds just don't match. It's not that it's not delicious, but if you really want chicken white broth, then feel free to come here.

I had never been to a Kirameki no Tori restaurant before, despite there being many branches in the Kansai region. After watching "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" in a nearby theater as a tribute to Ryuichi Sakamoto, I decided to visit a Kirameki no Tori restaurant nearby. The noodles and the chashu were delicious, and there were many condiments available at the counter. I enjoyed the meal all the way to the last bite. I definitely plan to visit again, and I also want to try out other branches of this restaurant chain.

On Sunday, I went to a bar hopping event with a friend in Kyoto. After we parted ways, I stumbled upon a new ramen shop on my way to the station and decided to try it out. I usually prefer soy sauce ramen, so I ordered their soy sauce ramen. The broth was a cloudy chicken soup-like consistency. After taking a sip, I found the flavor to be somewhat flat and lacking depth. They had various condiments on the counter for flavor enhancement, which I felt was necessary to make the ramen more enjoyable. Overall, it was an okay ramen experience.

First visit. It was around 6 p.m. on a weekday and it was not crowded. You have to buy a meal ticket first, but there was only one ticket machine and I felt rushed when someone came up behind me while I was deciding what to order and what toppings to get. I was debating between regular ramen and decided on tantanmen with an egg topping. I don't like spicy food, so I asked for no chili oil when I handed in my ticket. The tantanmen that came out was incredibly thick and rich, unlike anything I've had before! The noodles were coated in the sauce and it was really delicious. The soup was so thick that it was more like eating than drinking. The texture of the nuts and onions was really good. I want to try the regular ramen or maze-soba next time.

Kyoto is Kirameki in Kawaramachi Sanjo. The sparkle of the salt ramen is unique with chicken and chashu, so sometimes you feel like eating it. This time, it was reasonably priced at 850 yen for salt ramen. There are plenty of vegetables such as mizuna and onions, so it feels quite healthy for ramen. I think the noodles and soup are delicious. However, there were some minuses as the person next to me eating maze soba kept coughing and the timer was beeping constantly, so I would deduct 0.5 points.

The chicken tonkotsu shio ramen with salt sauce is incredibly delicious! The chashu, if seasoned with salt, is made from chicken meat and cooked in the oven or on a grill. The seasoning preparation includes pepper and a nostalgic woody aroma, possibly from celery, ginger, or cloves, adding a delicate yet strong flavor that balances well with the rich tonkotsu broth. The thickness and firmness of the noodles are just perfect, making it a standout dish. Taking into account the standout flavor of the salt sauce and the perfection of the various toppings, I add 2 points. Another point for personal preference, and finally, a bonus point for the cozy atmosphere of the shop. Therefore, the rating is 4.4. While the idea and presentation may not be completely unique, the rarity of the dish gives it special value, and it's a personal favorite, so I wholeheartedly praise and recommend it!

First visit! The shop operates on a ticket system... I had the regular size mixed noodles! When you order mixed noodles, you automatically get a side of rice which is convenient! The taste was good, and it's great that they are open without a lunch break! Thank you for the meal!

Visited with friends for a drink to end the night. It was past 9pm but the restaurant was almost full, showing its popularity. The interior was a bit small, but not uncomfortably so. The service was very polite and left a bright impression. The Taiwan maze-soba had a rich and intuitive flavor, making it quite easy to eat. The spiciness and the umami of the fish powder filled every bite, stimulating the appetite even though I had just finished a meal. The chewy texture was to my liking and overall, it was a satisfying bowl.

Today I had some errands in the center of Kyoto. I decided to have dinner here on my way back. I arrived around 5 pm on a weekday and there were no other customers. It's the type of place where you buy your meal ticket from a machine next to the entrance. There were many appealing menu options. After thinking for about 10 minutes, I decided on the Taiwan-style mixed noodles DX in a large portion. Since I'll be working from home after this, I don't mind if it's very garlicky, so I asked for extra garlic this time. My order arrived in about 10 minutes. Since I asked for a large portion, it came with quite a big serving. It was a bit of a challenge to mix everything up from the bottom due to the volume. The noodles were thick and firm. You could feel the chewiness through the chopsticks. They mixed well with the sweet and savory sauce. The flavor of the garlic was also good, and I enjoyed slurping it up. The texture of the noodles was good, and the egg yolk tied together the various toppings, making it very delicious. I was worried if I could finish it all since it was a bit too much, but the delicious Taiwan-style mixed noodles made me forget about that concern. I also mixed the leftover sauce with the complimentary extra rice and finished it all. I had a satisfying and delicious dinner. Although it didn't have any particularly unique characteristics as a mixed noodles dish, the noodles, sauce, and various toppings were well combined and of a pretty good standard. The staff, who were cheerful and friendly, left a good impression. I would like to try a different ramen next time I'm in the Sanjo area. Thank you for the meal!

Extremely rich chicken broth mixed noodles for 900 yen + fried chicken set for 280 yen. The crowds in Kyoto during the consecutive holidays are insane! I tried the famous chicken broth last time, so this time I went for the mixed noodles. I won't mention what's in it, as you can refer to other people's reviews for that. I also got a side of rice and fried chicken. The rice was good, even though they didn't have fried rice. However, the fried chicken was terrible. The marinade was too strong, and it was greasy and oily. It was a mess of soy sauce spiciness and oiliness that made me cringe. It seemed like they put too much emphasis on making sure it was cooked all the way through. Among ramen shops, this was one of the worst. So, naturally, the mixed noodles were disappointing as well. Overall, it was bland and the extreme richness of the chicken broth did not come through at all. It might be passable at a school festival level, but for a food item, it was too much. I don't understand the point of adding a rice dish to this. Making something that's not delicious even bigger is just hell. Taste is subjective, but this was just not good at all. I couldn't find anything enjoyable about it.

If I were to be honest, "it was delicious". It was really delicious. It's been about two years since I last visited a Kirameki Group restaurant. Honestly, I had the impression that it was a decent chain restaurant. I'm not a big fan of Taiwan-style mixed ramen, so the lack of interest in it caused me to visit less often. However, when I visited the Sanjo branch for the first time (or in a long time for the group), the staff were friendly and explained the portion sizes, and the interior of the restaurant was clean and left a good impression. The Kirameki Salt Ramen in large size (I had collected 10 stamps to eat it, so I didn't check the price) + 2 pieces of fried chicken and rice set for 180 yen was a surprise!!! Furthermore, was it this delicious?? (I apologize for being rude) The tasty chicken white broth salt ramen. The soup is a bit less, thick and creamy like carbonara, but despite being salt-based, it has a punchy and junky white broth. This is likely to become addictive!! The chunky chicken chashu is delicious, and the black pepper for flavor variation is a must for carbonara. The fried chicken is crispy and delicious, and the curry powder for flavor variation is perfect. Oh, I'm really satisfied. Honestly, I underestimated it a bit, I apologize!! I can also go there from my workplace, so I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal! ----- (2022.9.23) Lately, I've been stopping by during work hours here and there. During work breaks, I choose ramen without mixing. ...So, when I visited last time, I noticed the "Miso Kirameki Regular" (880 yen) and tried it, and it was delicious! I thought the salt was delicious, but the miso had a bit more punch and was creamy. I have now established a hierarchy in my mind of miso, salt, and soy sauce. Ramen shop in Sanjo, Kyoto. This was our second stop of the day. I ordered the Chicken Paitan Ramen with salt flavor, along with some fried chicken and a beer. While waiting for the ramen, we toasted with the beer and enjoyed the fried chicken. The Chicken Paitan Ramen had a rich broth with a nice balance of saltiness, and the medium-thick noodles paired well with it. It was surprisingly light and easy to finish.
