Still at a time when there is a faint light remaining in the sky, a man visits his familiar BAR. After the umpteenth state of emergency is lifted, the man visits the bar after a long time, and even the usually quiet master greeted him with a smile. Half of the 10 seats in the bar were already filled. Normally, the bar opens at 8:00 PM, but due to the request from the authorities to close at 8:00 PM, they opened earlier. The seats away from the man were occupied by elderly men, which was rare for this bar, and a young man who was playing with his smartphone while smoking an electronic cigarette. Two women sat at the counter, leaving one seat between them, and the man thought of the saying, "Speeches and skirts are better when short." He ordered a gin and tonic, and as he drank the drink that was promptly served, he lamented the dim lighting of the bar. Around the time he had finished half of his second Scotch, he overheard the conversation between the women. "A dangerous customer came last time," one of them said. The man couldn't tell their age, but he could sense that they were in the business of dealing with drunk customers. The other woman responded, "I know a really dangerous customer too." The man imagined some sort of violent incident involving apartment residents based on the flow of the conversation. However, the woman continued, "He was really fond of a canary, but it turns out the room was supposed to be pet-free." The man's expectations were shattered, and a certain premonition made him shudder. "And then, he sold the canary," the woman continued. The man pretended not to hear anything and sipped his drink. The woman laughed at her own story, and the other woman looked surprised. The man no longer regretted the dim lighting of the bar. He had decided to embark on a journey of voyeurism. ~~~~~~~~~~~ So, that's the story. (* ̄ー ̄) I arrived at Amanohashidate Viewland, a highland with various voyeur spots. The entrance reception is located about 5 minutes from Amanohashidate Station on the Tango Railway. You can't climb up on foot or by car, so you need to take a lift or monorail to and from Viewland. I bought a ticket for 850 yen, including the entrance fee, and took the lift. The monorail might be better for climbing as it is inclined. There is also a ferris wheel on the upper level, but it is currently suspended due to COVID-19 measures. Well, there are many good viewing spots even if you walk normally. After a full circle, I headed to the observation restaurant. They have a variety of local dishes, including curry, udon, and local ingredients. - Lunch of Monju: 1,500 yen It seems to be COVID-19 compliant, as the tableware is disposable. The set meal includes clam skewers, turban shell pot-grilled, and grilled sardine with stuffed fish paste. The clam skewers had a light sauce on them. The crispy coating and sauce flavor dominated, with the clams being slightly overshadowed. The turban shell was skewered with a toothpick, making it easy to remove the liver. The balance of the firm flesh and the bitter liver is good. The sardine with stuffed fish paste was of a normal quality. The wakame seaweed soup had a strong dashi flavor and was delicious. Although each dish had its pros and cons, the composition of local dishes was pleasing. I visited as part of a business trip to Kyoto and Fukuchiyama. The expenses this time were around 8,000 yen outside of accommodation, which was convenient. Transport costs.
