【Kyoto/Ine Town】Ine Bay Tour & Amanohashidate Stroll ① - Reservation Required! Rare and Hearty Lunch at the Fishing Port - "Kamairi Suisan Gyoko Meshi" It was a clear morning - I drove to Kyoto for the first time in a while. Ine, one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Japan," offers beautiful seas, abundant nature, and scenic beauty created by the wisdom of the people living in Ine. Ine Bay Cruise Boat Tour - We slowly cruise through Ine Bay, where the emerald green sea spreads out. There are about 230 boat houses lining the bay, a sight I've always wanted to see. The blue sky, blue sea, green mountains, and the fisherman's houses known as "boat houses" surround the bay, creating a nostalgic and beautiful Japanese landscape. Feeling hungry, we decided to have lunch. Despite arriving early at the popular restaurant "Aburaya" at the roadside station, there was already a long line... My husband, who hates waiting, was getting more and more impatient... In a hurry, we searched for another restaurant and found "Gyokou Meshi." We called even though we didn't have a reservation, and they kindly said they would accommodate us if we came quickly! We drove for about 20 minutes on a mountain road and arrived. The venue, with long tables and pipe chairs, had a view of the sea right in front of us, with seagulls flying around, creating an atmosphere. Looking into the sea, we could see small fish swimming. The venue had a great view, offering a sense of openness. For lunch, we had the fisherman's special set meal, which included fresh sashimi, simmered fish, turban shell, fish soup, tempura of sea delicacies, Tanba rice, and side dishes - a very generous portion! The freshness of the fish was outstanding, making the sashimi, tempura, and simmered dishes very delicious! The sashimi included horse mackerel, yellowtail, and squid, and the tempura included red sea bream, all of which were a fish lover's delight! The Tanba rice was glossy and delicious. Enjoying the delicious fish dishes while feeling the sea breeze, we were completely satisfied and full. Thank you for the feast! P.S. My husband, who actually dislikes fish, had very few words to say about the fish-filled fisherman's meal, missing his usual hearty meal. It was a bit pitiful, but also funny!
