When I went to the Kyocera Museum of Art with my daughter, I visited this cafe that I had been wanting to go to for a long time. I heard that this cafe is operated by Matsumoto Holdings, represented by legendary jockey Yutaka Take, who is close with horse owner Matsumoto-san. I had seen on Tabelog that they have a parking lot, so when I found a parking lot and tried to enter, I saw a sign that said "No entry for non-staff." I thought, "Should I not go in?" and passed by. After circling around the area, I decided to try entering the parking lot I saw earlier. As I went further in, I saw a sign saying "Please refrain from parking unless using Cafe S." So, I thought, "I can park here while using the cafe!" and parked my car. When I entered the store, they asked me to secure a seat first. It was a bit crowded, but I managed to secure a counter seat. I ordered an apricot tart, an apple tart, an iced Americano, and an iced cafe latte. After paying, I received a number tag and they would bring the order when it's ready. While waiting, I got excited seeing Yutaka Take's signature on a pillar! I shared the cakes with my daughter. Both were delicious. The cakes were a bit small, so we finished them quickly. Since it's located across from the zoo and it was a holiday, there were many customers with small children in strollers. Also, due to its location, there were many foreign customers, creating a fashionable atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.

Near the Kyoto Museum of Art, I got a stylish takeout coffee from a stylish cafe with a beautiful exterior and interior. Although I wanted to relax inside, I already had a cake to eat, so I took the coffee to go. The cup was cute and round, and the coffee tasted delicious.

I arrived at my destination earlier than expected and wanted to kill time by enjoying a cup of coffee to cool off. That's why I tried dot.S's delicious iced coffee. Their cold brew iced coffee has a perfect balance of mild bitterness and refreshing acidity, with a light taste. The price is reasonable and the atmosphere of the shop is great, making it a comfortable place to relax. It's like an oasis when you're feeling a bit tired.

I visited the restaurant on a weekday morning. There were a few other customers, but it was not crowded. I ordered a lemon squash, which was delicious with a good balance of sweetness and acidity. The table had an outlet, and the interior was new, clean, and comfortable to spend time in.

On Sunday, May 14th, 2023, I visited Kyoto City Zoo and then had a meal at Shunsaishokken "Hinano." After that, I was trying to take a taxi back, but as expected in Kyoto, it was hard to find one (since it's a bit away from the city center). I thought about walking to the central area of Kyoto, but I was tired, so I looked around for a nearby place to rest. That's when I spotted a "strange building"! It looked really odd, with windows and people inside. I couldn't tell what kind of facility it was, but it seemed inviting despite its unusual appearance. I decided to go inside and found out it was a cafe! I can't remember what I ordered, but I definitely had a cup of coffee. There was also a small car displayed next to me, which turned out to be a Mercedes-Benz smart car. They were selling Mercedes-Benz merchandise as well. I was surprised to see such a small compact car! It's called smart, and it has been sold in Japan since the year 2000, with the company being established in 1994. They even offered test drives (there were test drive cars available). So, this mysterious building turned out to be a modern cafe and a showroom for smart cars!

In Kyoto, there are many cafes that have a traditional and stylish atmosphere with a touch of Japanese elements, even if they have a modern twist. One particular cafe stood out for its sleek design and great tasting café latte. It turns out that they also have a Smart showroom attached. I would love to visit again. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the exterior is based on a traditional Japanese house, and the interior incorporates elements of a Japanese-style room. My apologies for overlooking these details.

Located near Heian Shrine in the Okazaki area, "dot S" is a coffee stand attached to the Mercedes-Benz "smart" exclusive store, "Smart Center Kyoto The Garden." The spacious interior features a central coffee counter, with Mercedes-Benz merchandise and cars displayed in the back. The hand-drawn car on display was created by Kenji Nishi, a member of the comedy duo "Tunnels." The open space includes a counter and a tatami area, providing different ways to relax. My favorite spot is kicking off my shoes and relaxing on the tatami while watching people pass by. The head barista, Kazuma Ozaki, has won numerous awards for his latte art, making the coffee experience top-notch. Don't underestimate this cafe next to the car dealership. Despite being in the popular Okazaki area, the spacious interior means it's not usually crowded, making it a hidden gem.

Before lunch, I killed time at a cafe. The interior was spacious with power outlets, making it suitable for charging devices or getting some work done. I had a cafe latte and chestnut cake, both of which were delicious. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. It was raining unfortunately, but on a sunny day, you can also enjoy the view of cherry blossoms.

I visited to pass the time before my appointment. It's a café for the compact car smart by Mercedes-Benz. The space is spacious, stylish, and not too crowded, so I was able to relax. I had an iced coffee. It's a bit unstable because the bottom is round. I accidentally knocked it over haha. The design is nice, but I wish the drink holder was in a more stable container.

The purpose of my trip to Kyoto was to visit the Andy Warhol Kyoto exhibition at the Kyocera Museum. I arrived early for my 10 o'clock reservation and decided to have coffee at this nearby cafe that happened to be open. The spacious and pleasant atmosphere was very inviting. Even though it was right after breakfast, I couldn't resist trying one of the many tart options they had available. I chose the chestnut tart and it was delicious! - Chestnut Tart ¥500 - Black Coffee ¥400

I had been curious about it for a while, but I finally decided to check it out after visiting the Kyocera Museum. It was around 2:30 on a Friday, and there were a lot of couples and trendy girls groups. There were sofa seats, table seats, and counter seats, so you could relax however you wanted. Despite being a Smart dealer, most of the customers seemed to be there just for the cafe, so the atmosphere was similar to the Mercedes cafe in Grand Front. I noticed there was a bike rack on the north side of the store, making it actually easy to access.

I received a gift of soy milk ice cream from Moon Food Japan. I found out that they are available in Kyoto. There were various flavors, but I chose the simple "Pure Soy Milk" one. It was more like a sorbet than ice cream, and it was healthy with the soy milk. Thank you for the treat.

I went to a stylish cafe near Heian Shrine! When I arrived around 3pm, most of the seats were taken, showing that it's a popular place. I ordered an iced cafe latte and an apple cinnamon tart. The presentation was cute and the coffee had a nice aroma, very delicious. The interior of the cafe is spacious and has a sense of openness.

I visited this cafe on a hot day, feeling dizzy after eating curry udon. The stylish exterior fits well with the Kyoto scenery. The spacious seating arrangement and pleasant background music made for a comfortable atmosphere. I had a refreshing iced coffee, which was standard but enjoyable. They also offer food menu items like curry. It's nice to have a relaxing cafe in this area.

Today, I visited the Heian Shrine and decided to stop by a cafe that I had been wanting to try. ■ CAFE Dot.S It seems to be a cafe attached to a Mercedes-Benz "smart" exclusive store. There were cars lined up at the back of the shop, creating a unique cafe space. There is also a garden at the back entrance, which is a lovely space. There were various photo spots near each seat. You order first before taking a seat. In addition to coffee, they also offer hot dogs, sandwiches, and lunch menu options. This time, I decided to try a tart along with my coffee. The interior had a relaxed atmosphere, with retro vibes. There were power outlets near the seats, making it convenient for charging devices while taking a break. ● Americano (Iced) A generous serving of coffee with a rich flavor and a hint of bitterness. ● Sweet Potato Tart The tart had diced sweet potatoes on top with black sesame sprinkled over them. The base was crispy, and the natural sweetness of the sweet potato was delightful. It wasn't too heavy, making it a perfect snack. I enjoyed the combination of coffee and tart for less than 1,000 yen. Overall, I found it to be a nice cafe to take a break when visiting the Heian Shrine or the Kyoto City Zoo.

Kyoto City Museum of Art Pompeii Exhibition. There was only one plaster cast of a body, with the rest being frescoes, mosaic paintings, sculptures, and everyday items, allowing us to catch a glimpse of the beautiful ancient life while forgetting about the great disaster. After enjoying the exhibition, I noticed there was a garden at the back of the museum and decided to take a short walk. Feeling like having coffee, I headed to this place just across the northeast corner from the museum. Wait, a car showroom? This is a coffee shop combined with a car showroom! The shop has walls full of glass windows, creating a simple and bright atmosphere. I had only planned to have coffee, but then I noticed the tarts. Sweet potato tart, apple cinnamon tart, coffee nougat nut tart, chestnut tart, apricot tart... I was intrigued by the coffee nougat nut tart, but I thought I might feel uncomfortable if the nuts got stuck in my teeth until I got home, so I chose the apple cinnamon tart instead. I forgot to take a picture of the drink menu, but for hot drinks, there was a regular size and a tall size with a price difference of about 50 yen. For iced drinks, only the tall size was available, and there was no extra charge for choosing iced. I was given a receipt with a number and waited at my seat. The iced cafe latte had two layers of milk and coffee. When I tried the coffee alone, it was fragrant and delicious. Even after mixing it with milk, the coffee aroma remained strong, which was great. The tart had a subtle sweetness that was just to my liking. There is a cooking counter in the center of the shop, with seating available on the west, south, and east sides. I chose a seat on the east side (mountain side), but the building was made of concrete and glass, causing voices to echo loudly. The loud chatter of a group of ladies having a great time on the west side was so noisy. I wanted to relax and leisurely look through the exhibition catalog I bought, but I ended up leaving early. Iced Cafe Latte 550, Apple Cinnamon Tart 500

I visited to adjust the reservation time at the Kyocera Museum. It is a cafe attached to Japan's first smart exclusive store. The interior is very bright and stylish. However, there are also spaces with Ryukyu tatami mats, which give a Kyoto vibe. Of course, smart cars are exhibited in the back. Orders are taken in a Starbucks-style, with payment in advance. Coffee is machine-brewed, and the main sweets are tarts. Cafe Americano (iced) is 450 yen, and Apple Cinnamon Tart is 500 yen. The chairs are stools, so it's more suitable for taking a quick break rather than relaxing.

This is a cafe attached to Japan's first Mercedes-Benz smart showroom. I ordered coffee and tart, which are popular items. Limited edition cafe lattes are also available depending on the season. The cafe is bustling with many people, as it is located in front of a zoo. The interior is bright, open, and very stylish. The seating was also lovely. There was a campaign where you could receive original smart goods when you visit in a smart car. It was not just a cafe, but also a place where you could enjoy looking at cars.
