The parfaits looked beautiful and tasted refreshing, making you feel like you could eat as many as you want. The peaches and strawberries were sweet and very delicious. I think it would be easy to enjoy even after a meal. I definitely want to visit again each season.

A famous fruit store cafe from Kanazawa has opened in Kyoto, so I decided to try my luck and made a reservation over the phone for Saturday afternoon tea time. They had availability from 4:30 onwards, so I changed my plans and went to the store. I ordered the burnt caramel banana parfait and lemonade. Although it looked heavy, the parfait was surprisingly light with a creamy texture, banana-flavored ice cream (with a mouse gray color), and balanced slices of pear. The atmosphere was calming and the staff was accommodating, even when I requested to move to a shadier spot due to the strong sunlight. It was a pleasant experience overall.

I made a reservation over the phone during lunch and since the location was surprisingly close, I decided to walk there to work up an appetite. I got caught in a little rain on the way, but when I arrived at the shop, the sun came out. I couldn't decide which one to choose, but ended up enjoying a melon and pistachio parfait while gazing at Yasaka Pagoda from the special seat.

I passed by the entrance of the shop because it was half underground, but finally managed to visit the shop I wanted to go to. When I entered the shop, there was an open kitchen, and I ordered and paid first. It looked like a generous portion, but I could finish it easily. I will come back next time when the seasonal fruits change.

The parfaits change depending on the season. You can check the menu on Instagram before making a reservation. I made a reservation this time and when I arrived, it was quite empty. There was only one other group of customers when I arrived, and they left shortly after. From then on, I was the only one there. It might be because it was around 12:30. The portions were larger than I expected, and the parfaits were a bit on the sweet side (depending on what you order), so I recommend going when you're hungry.

I had a caramelized banana parfait (^ ^) It was a new sensation parfait where the flavors changed as I ate, from chocolate to pear, vanilla ice cream, and yogurt-like. It was big, so I shared it with others (^ ^)

However, the disappointing part was the service. The parfait was served to another group that arrived after us first, even though there were empty seats available. The first parfait was served for one person in the couple, and they had to wait without touching it until the other one arrived. The parfait is carefully made, so it took quite some time for the second one to arrive, and by then, the ice cream had melted. There was no explanation or apology from the staff, which was a shame despite the delicious taste.

I ordered a pear and muscat parfait for 2,300 yen. The view was nice and I was able to relax. The parfait was delicious, especially the cheesecake inside! The muscat grapes were thinly sliced instead of being whole, so I personally thought it would be nice to have a little more quantity - haha.

However, two out of the three parfait options were sold out, leaving only the Amaou Tiramisu Parfait available. Having had a kaiseki course for lunch, they decided to share one parfait (and ordered one drink). The Amaou Tiramisu Parfait was not overly sweet, making it easy to enjoy even after a meal. The Amaou strawberries were juicy and sweet, complemented by the richness of the mascarpone cream, black tea jelly, and strawberry sherbet. Not only visually appealing, but also delicious, they were very satisfied. Due to the limited seating, it is recommended to make a reservation or visit early.

Red, white, pink, vivid and enchanting The ice cream is cream cheese and strawberry, both very refreshing. There are wafers on the other side of the photo. The strawberries are not too sour and on the sweeter side. The white chocolate panna cotta with chocolate is rich and flavorful! There is strawberry and grapefruit jelly at the bottom. A parfait that can be enjoyed from top to bottom, with just the right amount of sweetness so you won't feel heavy even if you finish it all. It's really well thought out and made. After sightseeing and enjoying parfait in Uji City, I transferred to the JR Nara Line and Keihan Main Line, and walked from Gion Shijo Station to near Yasaka Pagoda. Right in front of the pagoda, a little down the stairs, I found the shop I was looking for on this day, called "DORUMIRU". This place aims to provide cute, delicious, and beautiful things that exceed expectations. They value taste changes and marriages, and want customers to feel excited and surprised with every spoonful. They want customers to feel satisfied and happy, and to think "It's not just about looks, it's actually delicious" and "Let's come back for the next parfait". I made a reservation in advance and was seated at the counter seat on the 2nd floor with a view of Yasaka Pagoda. On this day, I tried the Strawberry and Earl Grey Parfait, priced at 2,300 yen including tax. The parfait was as cute as I had seen on Instagram, with smooth and high-quality cream and ice cream, the sweet and sour taste of strawberries, and the adult taste of rum raisin ice cream and cheesecake. Adding the strawberry compote syrup enhanced the rich flavor. I also tried the Orange and Cappuccino Parfait, also priced at 2,300 yen including tax. This parfait was also cute, with a composition of orange, pear, pear sorbet, and cappuccino ice cream. The pear had a strong presence, complemented by the subtle bitterness of the cappuccino. The shop is conveniently located and is a great place to visit during Kyoto sightseeing.

The composition of the parfait is excellent. Under the Earl Grey cream, there is a block-shaped cheesecake that was incredibly tasty! I hope they open a shop in Tokyo too.

Before the pandemic, this café required reservations for both seats and parfaits. Now, we were able to get in right away. I had the strawberry and Earl Grey parfait that I've had before. It's very delicious with various ingredients inside! From the large window, you can see Yasaka Pagoda, and from the opposite window, you can see the colorful Yasaka Koshindo Temple.

While exploring Kyoto, I stumbled upon a cute cafe and decided to go in. The cafe had a stylish interior and the parfait I ordered was satisfying. The flavor was just right for me, not too sweet, with a fruity and adult taste. The cafe had a nice atmosphere with dry flowers, a view from the window, and my favorite decor. It was a great find.

A reservation-only parfait specialty shop. The appearance and taste vary depending on the season and are wonderful. This time, we ordered the matcha parfait with Japanese pear and Shine Muscat, and the fig Mont Blanc parfait. Both parfaits looked so impressive when they were brought out! They were so beautiful that I didn't want to break them. Haha The taste was also great, with the fruit and cream matching well and being light to eat. It's nice that you can eat them leisurely because they are reservation-only. I would like to try a different flavor next time.
