In the afternoon, I took a day off and went to the Isetan Kyoto exhibition in the neighborhood. My goal was to get some beans mochi from Demachi Futaba. However, I had to deal with a sudden errand on my way back home, so I couldn't make it in time for the distribution of the mochi tickets. Instead, I ended up buying daifuku from another store. I didn't really like the black bean daifuku, but surprisingly, I found something enjoyable. I didn't like the texture of the black bean daifuku mochi part, but I really enjoyed the grass mochi and the filling. It was exquisitely delicious. What I ate: Black bean daifuku 194 yen, Grass mochi 194 yen * Used a discount at Mitsukoshi Isetan.

I stopped by before going to Peck because I used to come to the weekly event here. I bought the Tamba no Shizuku (Oonatsume) before and it was delicious, so this time I bought it again along with Tamba black beans, Tamba no Shizuku dorayaki, Kusamochi, and black bean daifuku, one of each. I love both of them because they have chunky red bean paste. However, the mochi in Kusamochi was a bit hard. I wish it was softer like the black bean daifuku... The dorayaki had delicious red bean paste but the skin was a bit dry. The Tamba no Shizuku had a nice level of sweetness and was delicious. I would choose between Tamba no Shizuku and black bean daifuku for a repeat purchase. Thank you for the meal.

Kyoto's traditional sweets are truly amazing! The black bean filling is incredibly delicious! The sweet red bean paste has just the right amount of sweetness. The aroma of the mugwort is also lovely. It's a well-balanced daifuku. Although not shown in the photo, the dorayaki with black beans is also very tasty. The outer layer is like a rich castella cake, and it pairs perfectly with green tea. It also goes well with coffee. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

On March 27, 2021 (Sat), at "Kyoto Tanbaen", the popular item to try was the black bean daifuku! Next to the black bean daifuku, there was a colorful grass mochi that also caught my eye, so I decided to purchase one of each. ● Black Bean Daifuku 216 yen ● Grass Mochi 216 yen The daifuku with plenty of black beans inside is a perfect match of soft mochi and sweet bean paste. It has a hint of saltiness that makes it irresistibly delicious. The grass mochi could have had a bit more mugwort for my taste, but it is a representative of spring mochi. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Blog ⇒ 【Riding on the Flowing Clouds♪】Guess what I found at Suma Patio!!! I feel like I'm using it a little differently... (^^;) I've known about it for a long time, but I had no idea what kind of facility it was. In fact, I didn't even know where it was located... (sweat) From the name, I thought it was at Suma Station... (big sweat) Come to think of it, when was the last time I used Suma Station? I realized it's been about 40 years. I haven't used it since my student days when I went to the beach, so I'm completely out of touch with it. And, to top it off, I was completely off the mark. It turns out it's actually located in front of Nanya Station (^^;) Come to think of it, I've never used Nanya Station before. No wonder I didn't know about Suma Patio! But for some reason, I've known the name for a long time. I had imagined it was a station building directly connected to Suma Station. But the reality is that it's a large shopping mall directly connected to Nanya Station! (surprise) It's huge! Huge! Huge! Huge! Huge! Huge! With parking for 1,500 cars! You need to be prepared to stay all day and still not see everything! (What if you come back a few times?) Now, across from Suma Patio is Daimaru!!!! Wow! Daimaru means there's a department store with a basement I love, right? I went inside, and sure enough, there's a basement! Well, it's on the first floor, so is it a department store's first floor? (I've never heard of that) In that Daimaru Suma store, there is a special sales area on the first floor, where I bought "Daifuku" from "Kyoto's Omame-dokoro Tanbaen"♪(^^)/ This shop, as the name suggests, specializes in Tanba beans. So, they mainly sell beans, but they also sell processed products like miso, ponzu, and sheep's milk. Because it's a shop like that, you can feel safe buying their "Daifuku." This time, I bought a two-color pack for 432 yen! The white one is, of course, a Tanba black bean Daifuku, and the green one is a grass mochi. I was impressed by the quality that doesn't feel like it's only 216 yen each! It seems like their main battleground is the special sales area in the department store basement, so if you see it, be sure to check it out♪

I bought it because it was being sold at a department store event corner in Miyazaki City. It was recommended by an acquaintance. Apparently, the daifuku being sold here is delicious and popular. Miyazaki people are quick to jump on unusual things. I heard about it and went right away. There were daifuku already prepared to take home, so I quickly grabbed one for checkout. - Black bean daifuku - Mugwort rice cake The black bean daifuku has a strong black bean flavor, but the softness of the mochi is amazing! And the hint of salt tightens the taste of the daifuku. I used to be a little hesitant about mugwort rice cake when I was a child, but not anymore. It was very delicious, with the sweetness of the red bean paste while feeling the mugwort. It was so delicious that I finished it in no time. I was satisfied. Thank you for the meal✨
