The atmosphere of the restaurant is a bit upscale but everything you eat is delicious. The seasoning is also top-notch! Especially the sashimi, sea bream rice, and amberjack simmered dish were incredibly delicious! And it's only around 3000 yen per person. This is definitely a must-visit restaurant.

When I visited Amanohashidate for sightseeing, I stopped by "Mikamo" restaurant. This time, I had their tempura bowl. The batter was light and crispy! The vegetables were sweet, and the seafood was very delicious. They also offer a seafood BBQ where you can grill fresh fish on a table-top grill. I definitely want to try it next time I visit.

I visited this restaurant during my trip to Amanohashidate. I departed from Kyoto Station early in the morning, but it was a challenge to travel the 88 km distance without any JR discounts, and with limited transportation options due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. After a quick tour, I was lured by the aroma of the charcoal grill in front of the station and decided to have lunch there. I ordered the recommended seafood grilled over charcoal, and it was cooked to perfection. The attentive service of grilling the food just right and serving it with their special ponzu sauce warmed my heart.

Seafood bowl here is just average, but the prices are high as expected in touristy areas. It's not bad, it's actually quite tasty, but it's not something you would specifically want to eat while on a trip. When you're in a big group, sometimes you just have to compromise.

I used it for the first time during the day. The sashimi was fresh and the tuna was delicious. The tempura also came later, but it was crispy and delicious.

I ordered the sashimi set meal and the steamed oysters and clams as individual dishes. They mentioned that oysters can only be served raw in the summer. It was quite expensive but delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Let's all have a meal near Amanohashidate together. We parked at a parking lot near the tourist spot and found a nice-looking restaurant in front of us. There was a notice at the entrance about wearing masks, probably due to the influence of the coronavirus. Well, it has become normal lately. We had to wait a bit to get in, but we were seated quickly. Inside, there was a fish tank that added a nice touch to the atmosphere. The menu was extensive, offering plenty of choices, so we ordered a few dishes and looked forward to trying them. As the dishes arrived one by one, we started eating and thought, "Hmm, not bad at all!" While enjoying the food, a baby started crying, and a female staff member went over to scold the parents, saying, "Customers! Due to the impact of the coronavirus, please don't let your child cry!" The customers were understandably upset by this remark. It was an inappropriate statement from the restaurant, and it instantly made the dining experience less enjoyable. Later, the proprietress came out, but her conversation focused more on protecting the staff rather than upholding the restaurant's values and purpose. I felt sorry for that family. If I had a young child, they might cry sometimes. Of course, intentionally making a baby cry is not right, but I don't think those parents would do that. I hope the restaurant can understand this and become a place where customers want to return. It's really disappointing... I won't be going back there again. Makamo

I searched for a lunch log at Amanohashidate and found a good one, so I decided to eat here. When asked if I was a tour customer, I answered yes. They recommended their service bowl since we only had about 45 minutes of free time from the tour. It was very kind of them. There were other luxurious and delicious dishes on the menu, but I chose the recommended service bowl and some squid sashimi. The bowl was 1300 yen and very fresh and tasty. However, there was a group of male customers next to us who were very loud and rowdy, making it impossible for us to have a conversation at our table. It was quite unlucky.
