It may be safer to visit during the mobile sales on Fridays and Saturdays near the convenience store (this week in front of the 7-Eleven in Nishikikyo. Please confirm). They offer pre-order sales of bento boxes with Iwata Nori from Okushiri and Matsumae. Here is my review after trying it. Two-thirds of the space is covered with Iwata Nori on rice. The aroma is truly amazing, and the flavor is rich. There is no need to compare it with convenience store versions; this is on a different level. Truly a "no need for side dishes" type of dish. However, it comes with side dishes as well. Is it just for appearance? No, it exceeds the level of just being an addition. It's authentic and tastes like home-cooked food. The tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) is excellent. The Iwata Nori from this shop is delicious. I suggest trying a two-tiered bento box with Iwata Nori, challenging the shop in Matsumae. There should be a demand for it. I hope they continue to specialize and innovate further.
