I am looking for souvenirs at Kyoto Tower Sand Store. The Kyoto Tea Baked Donut (237 yen) is a baked donut exclusive to the Tower Sand Store. Since it is baked on site, you can enjoy it fresh. The aroma of matcha is nice, and the rich flavor and bitterness of matcha are excellent. Whenever I come to Kyoto, I always buy the Kyoto Baam (1,296 yen). The moist and fluffy dough, the mellow taste of soy milk, and the rich aroma of matcha are wonderful. The Kyoto Baam Sablé (626 yen) is a sablé cookie that captures the vivid colors of "Kyoto Baam". Made with Uji matcha and soy milk, it has a crispy texture that is light and allows you to savor the unique bitterness of matcha.

On May 24, 2023, I used takeout at a Baumkuchen shop inside Kyoto Tower Sand. They also have food items for eating on the go. You can pay with PayPay. I bought the Eating and Walking Kyoto Baum (319 yen) and the Kyoto Tea Baked Donut (237 yen). The Eating and Walking Kyoto Baum is a Baumkuchen skewered on a stick. It is incredibly delicious (*⁰▿⁰*). It's okay to try a sample before buying the Kyoto Baum. The Kyoto Tea Baked Donut has a strong tea flavor and a slightly bitter baked taste. The moist and soft texture is similar to tofu donuts. The Kyoto Baum was so delicious that it overshadowed the donut...lol

When it comes to souvenirs in Kyoto, the classic choice used to be Yatsuhashi, but since the increase in inbound tourism, there are now many options to choose from, making it difficult to decide what to buy. If you plan to eat the souvenir right away, then the choices are plentiful, but if you want to enjoy it later and it needs to be compact, then it becomes challenging. I often see this Kyoto Baum at souvenir shops and in free papers around Kyoto, so I decided to try the Kyoto Baum on a stick, which is perfect for eating while walking around. I also bought an iced espresso latte from Starbucks to enjoy with it. The outer layer with matcha flavor was a bit sweet, but the matcha taste was not very strong. As for the Baum cake itself, the matcha flavor was subtle, but overall, it was a light and fluffy Baum cake, probably because it uses soy milk. Despite being light, it was not cheap-tasting at all, and it seemed like something that would appeal to everyone. It cost 319 yen, which seemed reasonable. For reference, a whole cake was priced at 1,296 yen.

A family member who traveled to Kansai brought back a souvenir for me. It's a confectionery that uses matcha, blending Japanese and Western flavors. When I opened the thick, sturdy box, I found the matcha Baumkuchen wrapped in bright red paper. Inside the red wrapping, there was a black case with the Baumkuchen on top. The combination of red, black, cream, and green colors is beautiful. The cream part is made with soy milk, while the green part is matcha. When I tried a piece, the matcha flavor was rich, although the soy milk flavor was a bit subtle. It's a soft cake with a crunchy sugary texture, making it a delightful treat for matcha lovers. I enjoyed it with green tea this time, but I wonder what would be the best pairing for it. It was a new experience trying this unique Baumkuchen flavor.

A classic souvenir. I've been curious about this for a while, and I finally got to try it! The smooth matcha dough with accents of soy milk dough is great. The coating around it enhances the deliciousness of the two types of dough, enveloping them in a strong matcha flavor. The aftertaste also has a strong tea taste. The scent of tea is also wonderful.

I recently got hooked on "Kyoto Baam" as a souvenir from Kyoto. It's incredibly delicious and I can't get enough of it. Priced at 1200 yen, Kyoto Baam is made with Kyoto-produced soy milk from underground water and Japanese 100% wheat flour for a sponge cake base. Layered with a blend of Uji matcha and roasted green tea, this delicacy has a moist and fluffy texture, with a mellow richness from the soy milk and a fragrant matcha flavor. The addition of Mori Hanka's matcha-infused fondant enhances the overall deliciousness.

On November 16th (Wednesday), I climbed Kyoto Tower for the first time. The night view was beautiful, perfect for couples on a date, but not so much for a solo guy like me. When I asked my wife what souvenir to get, she said "Kyobam" so I bought it here. I tried it later on - Uji matcha and soy milk Baumkuchen. It goes well with Japanese tea, coffee, and even black tea. The sweet icing around it was delicious. This time, I used a "Zurashi Travel" package to Kyoto, which included round-trip transportation and various experiences. It cost 18,800 yen from Shin-Yokohama, quite a deal (weekdays only). Some experiences take time, so I chose the quick option of visiting Kyoto Tower. I also received a 1000 yen coupon, which I used to buy "Kyobam". It costs 1296 yen, so I paid the remaining 296 yen. The staff at both the store and Kyoto Tower reception were well-trained. In contrast, encounters with rude people during my trip left me feeling unsettled, but the beautiful women of Kyoto made it all better in the end.

I received this as a souvenir~ My friend had ordered it because she knew it was delicious, so I wanted to try it too! Even my mother, who doesn't like matcha, enjoyed it, and I also found it delicious. I love matcha, so even though the matcha flavor is strong, I still enjoyed it. ◎

Since I used to rely on souvenirs a lot, I hadn't tried it until recently, but when I did, it was delicious. Matcha and Baumkuchen go well together and taste great. I regret not tasting it before buying it as a souvenir. I'm confident about it today! 🎉

The regular size was too big for me, so I was hesitant to buy it, but then I found a freshly baked half-size Baumkuchen that was only available at this store! I had to buy it!!! I ate it on the way back on the Shinkansen, and it was so fluffy! I didn't compare it to the regular one, so I can't say for sure, but it was delicious. The only downside is that it has a short expiration date.

It is located on the 1st floor of Kyoto Tower. I didn't notice it much when I used to live in Kyoto, but I was surprised to see various shops inside. I bought matcha balm at my wife's request. Kyoto sweets often have a strong matcha flavor, but this one has a good balance of matcha and cream, and it tastes great. It's nice, isn't it?

I stayed in Kyoto and was feeling lonely because dinner ends at 9 pm and I couldn't drink alcohol. So, I decided to explore around Kyoto Station and stumbled upon Kyoto Baum Bar. Since I was already at Kyoto Tower, I decided to buy one. Tomorrow, I have a diabetes test, but I'm not worried. I think it's better to have the test in my usual state of overeating and drinking. I returned to my room and tried the dessert with tea. It's small and easy to eat on-the-go. I finished it quickly. I think I should stop here for today.

I bought a popular baumkuchen with matcha flavor as a souvenir from Kyoto. The matcha glaze on the outside is quite delicious. It's a bit sweet, so it pairs well with coffee. The name of the person who made it was written on the box when I opened it.

Located in Kyoto Tower Sand, this shop offers Kyoto Baam soft serve ice cream (mixed) for ¥540. Although it is only available for takeout, there are chairs near the escalator where you can enjoy it. Kyoto Baam is a famous souvenir from Kyoto, and now it is available in soft serve ice cream form! It's a perfect collaboration that is bound to be delicious. The soft serve ice cream has a refreshing taste, while the Kyoto Baam underneath is moist with a perfect balance of matcha and soy milk flavors. Matcha lovers must try this!

Today I went on a business trip to Kyoto! It's been a while since I last visited and I was surprised to see how much the scenery has changed! After finishing up my work at the company, I went to Kyoto Tower. I bought the classic souvenir, Yatsuhashi, and then I saw a Kyoto Baam shop across the street. I was feeling thirsty and tired, craving something sweet, so I couldn't resist and indulged in a mixed soft serve ice cream! It was delicious! My area manager treated me to it. The matcha flavor was great, the Yatsuhashi on top was tasty, and the Baam at the bottom paired perfectly with the soft serve sweetness. I definitely want to have it again next time I visit Kyoto.

Here is a review of a restaurant:
"This is a review of the Kyoto confectionery company Bijuu, which produces the famous Kyoto sweet called "otabe." The company has 252 employees and 589 part-time staff (as of 2018). I was surprised that the number of employees is relatively small. Surprisingly, this company has a wide range of products. They also make Western sweets, French pastries, Osaka crispy waffles, Central Island Camel Scotch, Kyoto financier, Osaka souvenirs, Tokyo souvenirs, and more. I was amazed to see that they are also involved in the production of otabe-related products. If you want to know more about otabe, check out the otabe society website, which uses heartwarming photos to convey their commitment to quality. They also make a variety of Western sweets, and they have even expanded to Osaka and Tokyo! The English translations on their websites are impressive. Kyo-Baum is a moist and soft Baumkuchen made with Kyoto-produced soy milk and a blend of Uji matcha and green tea. The taste is quite sweet due to the cream on the outside, but overall, it has a harmonious and moist texture. It was a delicious experience!"

At Kyoto Tower, I was disappointed that the matcha sweets I wanted were sold out. So, I ended up trying the roll ice cream, but I couldn't resist getting another one - this time from Baam-san's soft serve. I chose the one with Baumkuchen inside. It cost 540 yen. The matcha color was lighter than displayed, and the flavor wasn't very rich. However, when eaten with the moist Baumkuchen, it was quite enjoyable. While it may not be the best for matcha enthusiasts, being able to easily enjoy Baumkuchen was a nice surprise!
