Arashiyama Shoryuen, located in front of Arashiyama Station, had a sake brewery set up, so I bought some as souvenirs (*‘∀‘). It's probably famous, right? I remember buying this sake at a local products exhibition before. This is the last review of my Kyoto trip edition (=゚ω゚)ノ
◼️The store is simple and not very spacious, but it's clean and easy to enter.
◼️The staff at the store is a middle-aged man working alone. He comes over eagerly, maybe because it's not busy. He was very happy when I bought a lot of sake (lol).
◼️Crowd level: Sunday before 11 am, no one was there.
◼️They have a variety of sake for sale, but overall, it's a bit pricey. They also have some limited edition sake.
◼️Free sake tasting is available. They let you try different types of sake, even the expensive ones, for free.
◼️Prices: Junmai Daiginjo Original Sake Shoryu - 5,500 yen, Junmai Ginjo Sake Shoryu - 2,750 yen, Junmai Sake Kyoto Summer Festival - 2,750 yen, Nagisa Junmai Daiginjo - 3,300 yen, Total: 14,300 yen

▼Junmai Daiginjo Original Sake Shoryu
Polishing ratio 40%, Alcohol content 17%
Incredibly clear! It's a bit on the dry side, but the balance of umami, sweetness, and spiciness is excellent. This sake is amazing! It's definitely worth the price.
▼Junmai Ginjo Sake Shoryu
Polishing ratio: Rice 55%, Koji 60%, Alcohol content 17%
The label is drawn by the artist Keisuke Teshima. It's quite strong and spicy, maybe because of the high alcohol content. It's not as refined as Junmai Ginjo, but it's still pleasant. It seems like a versatile sake.
▼Junmai Sake Kyoto Summer Festival
Polishing ratio 60%, Alcohol content 15%
This summer limited edition sake is generally on the dry side but refreshing. The more you drink, the more you appreciate its deliciousness.
▼Nagisa Junmai Daiginjo
A Kyoto limited edition sake with a distinctive long bottle. It seems to be named after a woman from the brewery. Polishing ratio 35%, Alcohol content 17%. It has a mellow sweetness, strong spiciness, and a high alcohol content, but it's surprisingly smooth and delicious. It's a delicate yet powerful sake made by a woman. This one is exceptional.
▼Junmai Ginjo Life in Full Swing
This was included in the box that was shipped to me. It has a mellow sweetness and spiciness, but it's quite strong.
▼Sacred Sake Candy
I bought this as a substitute for the shipping fee. It has a delicious milky flavor with a hint of sake lees.
Overall, the sake here tends to be on the spicier side, so if you like that, you'll enjoy it. Personally, I was blown away by the deliciousness of the Junmai Daiginjo Shoryu. It's a bit pricey at 5,500 yen, but highly recommended (^^)/
