I visited the Megumi restaurant in Obihiro for the first time! It seems like a new bento shop has opened, so I decided to check it out. When I entered the shop, there was only one staff member, a young lady. It seems like they sell pre-made bentos, but I'm not sure if they can make one fresh upon ordering. I chose a fried chicken bento priced at 550 yen before tax, from the three daily options available. The fried chicken was tough and not very enjoyable. The breading and meat were both hard, and the seasoning was just average. The other side dishes like mini omelette, gratin, and bamboo shoots were tasty. The portion of rice was quite generous. Unfortunately, the fried chicken was the letdown of the meal. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by Daichi no Megumi Obihiro store, as I also wanted to register (lol). This store opened in front of the previously reviewed Higashi store, and here they only offer takeout. It's located in the former Steady store (which had been vacant for about 2 years). It's a hot day, so I was interested in the fresh fruit juices. When I asked for a recommendation, they suggested the popular "Lemonade." I ordered the Lemonade with carbonation, and later saw on the menu that juices are 300 yen + tax (8% for takeout), and adding soda is an extra 50 yen, making it 350 yen + tax. They advised me to mix it well since there is syrup at the bottom. I took a photo as proof and then enjoyed it. It had a sweet lemon syrup taste with two slices of lemon peel for a bitter-sweet flavor. It was okay, but for this price, I would prefer a larger cup. The local newspaper ad mentioned that they focus on using Tokachi and Hokkaido ingredients, and sell pickles, side dishes, and wild vegetable products. They also have popular products like Jerusalem artichoke and black garlic. They also sell salt-preserved wild vegetables and original accessories. Thank you for the meal.
