There was a parking lot available. I purchased strawberry daifuku, bean daifuku, and other fresh sweets. I was able to buy young ayu fish, which are in season at this time. The strawberry daifuku was juicy and delicious, and the bean daifuku was also tasty. It was a great experience visiting this delicious traditional Japanese sweets shop.

Kinkan Pie 240 yen
I have eaten Yoraku's kinkan pie many times and it is my favorite. Yoraku is more popular for their strawberry daifuku and fig pie, but I prefer this one the most. It is only available in Kyoto and it is not guaranteed to be sold every year, usually limited to around January. This time, when I called to inquire, they were selling it, so I ended up buying 15 of them. The gentle flavor of the butter in the pie, the gentle sweetness of the white bean paste, and the juicy sweet and sourness of the candied kinkan all complement each other perfectly. My favorite part is the white bean paste with kinkan juice on it. It is so delicious that I always end up eating it all by myself.

After purchasing meat for the New Year at "Meat & Fresh TAKAMI", I headed about 600 meters northeast to this place called "Kyogashi-shi Yoraku Shinmei Store". Here, let's buy some traditional Japanese sweets for the New Year! When I think of "Yoraku", I always think of their "Fruit Daifuku", but unfortunately, the "Shine Muscat Daifuku" was sold out when I arrived at noon! I wanted to try it so bad! Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk, so I picked out a few other items instead!
This time, I bought:
- Strawberry Daifuku x2 for 300 yen each
- An Mochi x1 for 270 yen
- Ume (Plum) Daifuku x1 for 270 yen
- Awa Daifuku x1 for 250 yen
- Chestnut Pie x1 for 240 yen
* All prices include tax
* Total payment: 1,630 yen
- Strawberry Daifuku: Fresh strawberries, juicy but slightly tart. Small and easy to eat quickly!
- An Mochi: Toasted it lightly before eating, elegant sweetness of the red bean paste.
- Ume Daifuku: Soft and chewy mochi with sweet plum filling, refreshing aroma and taste.
- Awa Daifuku: Mochi with millet, simple and delicious with sweet red bean paste.
- Chestnut Pie: Pie crust with whole chestnut and red bean paste, a popular choice with just the right sweetness.
This was my 6th visit to Yoraku, and for the first time, I noticed a green paper with a message from the manufacturer, Mr. Morimoto. It stated that if there were any issues with the products, customers could report it without hesitation. It's reassuring to see a company taking responsibility for their products and making it easy for customers to provide feedback if needed.

I often visit this store to buy some snacks when I have guests over. The store is bright, reasonably priced, and has a parking lot. This time, I bought their most popular item for this season, the "strawberry daifuku". It was delicious, with a sweet, large strawberry inside the mochi.

Ichigo Daifuku is a super delicious shop! Today, they had a mixed fruit Daifuku which I rarely see. I didn't hesitate to buy it. Inside the white bean paste are strawberries, oranges, and kiwi. The fruits are juicy and very tasty! When it comes to fruit Daifuku, Yoraku is the best! Thank you for the meal.

Yoraku is famous for their strawberry daifuku. I usually go to the main store, but I happened to pass by this branch for the first time. They had chocolates and Western-style baked goods for Valentine's Day! The marshmallows with big heart shapes were cute. They had a new item, chestnut daifuku, which I tried instead of the strawberry one. The staff said it tastes like Mont Blanc, and it was indeed delicious. I prefer Western-style sweets, so it was perfect for me. Thank you for the delicious treat! ❤️

With the arrival of spring, I always crave these strawberry daifuku! This time, I also bought some sakura mochi. The large strawberries have a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness, paired with a refreshing white bean paste. The chewy mochi has a great texture and the sweet red bean paste complements it perfectly. The sakura mochi has a lovely aroma of cherry blossoms that enhances the sweetness, allowing you to fully enjoy spring! Thank you for the delicious treats!

I wanted to eat my favorite Yoraku-san's strawberry daifuku this year, so I went to the nearest Kamiakira store. The strawberries were big and sweet, and the smooth white bean paste was refreshing and easy to eat. The mochi was soft and the quality was as good as always. Thank you for the delicious strawberry daifuku again this year!

I wanted strawberry daifuku, so I went into the shop. Among various Japanese sweets displayed, next to the strawberry daifuku was "mandarin orange daifuku"! This might be the first time I've seen it (*゚▽゚)ノ I bought the mandarin orange daifuku and tried it at home♪ Inside the soft and chewy mochi, there were juicy mandarin oranges! The contrast between the sweet mochi and the juicy mandarin oranges was incredibly delicious☆ミ I really enjoyed eating it (≧∇≦)

Every year, when spring comes, I have a strong craving for strawberry daifuku (o^O^o). When it comes to strawberry daifuku, I often purchase them from Yorakusan. I recently bought some from the Matsui Gaoka store! This year, the strawberries are small and not very sweet (-ω-) I can't help but compare them to the ones I received from Shimaya a while ago. During a stroll in Uji, I found Kamiaketen. Since I had 30 minutes before my lunch reservation at Steak Kappo Hanayashiki, I decided to buy some strawberry daifuku first. Strawberry Daifuku @220 ★4.0 I only bought one because the ones from Matsui Gaoka were not that great. This time, the strawberries were big and sweet and juicy♪ The size of the strawberry made the daifuku naturally big too (lol) The taste really depends on the sweetness of the strawberry. The mochi was soft like a baby's cheek, and the sweetness of the white bean paste was excellent! I was very satisfied this time, so I regret not buying more (>_<) Plum Daifuku @200 ★4.0 The combination of the sweet and sour simmered plum and the white bean paste was exquisite! This is a recommended item that you can buy all year round. Ichigo-sando: Spring limited edition new product @160 ★3.5 At first glance, I thought it looked like a Western confectionery with strawberry cream, but when I tried it, there was red bean paste mixed in, giving it a Japanese twist. Terada-imo @150 ★3.8 Smooth sweet potato paste inside a moist thin dough. It's softer and moister than sweet potato. This was also quite delicious ◎ The shop has a new atmosphere, so I thought it was recently opened, but when I looked back at my review of the Matsui Gaoka store, I realized from the brochure photos that it has been around for two years (o^.^o) Yorakusan currently has four stores, including the Namiki store. It's a local and delicious Japanese confectionery shop♪ It was delicious - thank you for the meal (o^o^o)♪

Kyoto's traditional Japanese confectionery shops are deep and offer a unique experience with their new challenges (based on personal bias and limited experience, haha). I also enjoy visiting traditional Japanese confectionery shops in Uji. I have a few favorites there. I usually choose about 6 items from the shop's selection for souvenirs or everyday treats because they are affordable (maybe because I don't buy the expensive ones, haha). One special feature is that you can sample the products while they are being wrapped, and they also offer tea service. However, recently it has become more of a self-service style where you have to serve yourself. In the past, the staff used to serve you hot water with choices like kelp tea or plum kelp tea, along with recommended sweets, but now it seems like they are cutting back on manpower. Despite this, the staff are always efficient and pleasant. It's just a bit sad...

I received a gift from a friend! \( ˆoˆ )/ It's from my favorite shop "Yoraku"!! I have visited the main store in Joyo City and the Meiboku store in Isehata-cho, Uji City, but this time it's the "Yoraku Shinmei store"!!٩̋(๑˃́ꇴ˂̀๑)
What I received this time was:
⚫ Strawberry Daifuku
⚫ Pie Manju with lots of chestnuts
⚫ Azuki bean jelly with sweet red bean paste
◆ Strawberry Daifuku ◆
The popular No. 1 at "Yoraku", the "Strawberry Daifuku"! When my friend went, it was just past 10:30 am and it wasn't in the showcase... Sold out!?... was the surprise, but when they asked the staff, they found out that it was just not displayed yet and managed to get it!! (〃´o`)=3 The elegant sweetness of white bean paste goes well with the large, sweet and sour strawberry!
◆ Pie Manju with lots of chestnuts ◆
This is my friend's favorite item, so whenever we go to the shop together, they always buy it! (^◇^;) Inside the pie is a large chestnut and sweet bean paste!! It's reliably delicious! (๑´ڡ`๑)
◆ Azuki bean jelly with sweet red bean paste ◆
I received the "Honren Yokan" from the same series before, but this time it's a bit different, it's the "Azuki bean jelly with sweet red bean paste"! (b゚v`*) Inside the small yokan are large adzuki beans that give a rich adzuki bean flavor! (ノ゚Д゚)ノオォ〜‼︎ The sweetness is moderate and elegant, but with the large adzuki beans, you can really taste the flavor of the beans!
This was my first review of "Yoraku Shinmei store" but... Since it was a gift, I couldn't take photos of the exterior, interior, or showcase, and I couldn't provide details such as prices, which is a shame! ( ˃ ⌑︎ ˂ ) Hopefully, I can visit myself someday and write a detailed review! (人´ω`*) Once again, all the wagashi were delicious! Thank you for the treat! ( ^人^ ) ===========
