I bought various flavors at Ginza Mitsukoshi and wanted to eat them all - azuki, custard, an butter, and sweet potato. I should have also bought hojicha to go with them. The instructions for heating them up were written clearly, which was helpful. My favorite part was the feathered design on the outside. I definitely want to eat them again if I ever go to Kyoto.

I bought custard and sweet red bean butter taiyaki. Both were really delicious. The sweet red bean butter taiyaki seems to be a seasonal item. I really like this taiyaki and often line up to buy it. The dough is chewy and tasty.

After work, I stopped by at Fujisaki and they were having the annual "National Ekiben Festival and Delicious Food Market." This shop is a taiyaki store from Kyoto. They offer fillings like sweet red bean paste, custard, roasted green tea paste, matcha with sweet red bean, and baked sweet potato paste. I chose the matcha with sweet red bean filling. It looked so delicious when it was freshly baked, so I decided to eat it in the eat-in space. As expected, freshly baked taiyaki is really tasty.

Today I went to Hello Work and then visited Sanjo Shopping Street on my way back. It was a bit sparse in the morning around 10 o'clock. Many restaurants were still preparing, but supermarkets seemed to be attracting shoppers. I took a walk while grabbing some takeout from a few places. I stopped by "Kofukuya" and got two taiyaki to enjoy in the car. They were only 100 yen each on Thursdays. The red bean paste filling was quite generous and the dough had a good flavor. It was a lucky snack that I really enjoyed. Thank you for the meal.

■Visit Date: October 22, 2017■Items Received: Taiyaki (fish-shaped cake) - one with red bean paste, one with custard■MEMOVisited on October 22, 2017. On my way home from Shijo, I passed through Sanjo shopping street. There were many interesting shops in the area, so my wife and I decided to buy a snack. We chose taiyaki today. We purchased one with red bean paste and one with custard. It had been a while since we had taiyaki. We brought them home, reheated them, and enjoyed them together. The filling taiyaki was satisfying and made us feel happy. Sweet treats always bring a smile to our faces.

This is a takeout specialty store for Thai-style grilled octopus balls, takoyaki, and okonomiyaki located in Sanjo-kai Shotengai. I bought takoyaki as I was feeling a bit hungry. What I bought: Takoyaki (6 pieces) for 340 yen (Takoyaki: 6 pieces 340 yen, 9 pieces 460 yen, 12 pieces 620 yen, 15 pieces 740 yen). The prices seem a bit higher than the average takoyaki price. You can choose from 4 different seasonings: sauce, Kyoto-style dashi, ponzu, and mentaiko sauce. Mayonnaise and green onions are optional. I asked for the regular sauce. The taste was quite ordinary. However, the aroma is so good that you can't help but stop by when passing by the shopping street. I wish the staff were a bit more friendly. By the way, if you want takoyaki with a big impact in both taste and appearance, I recommend "Tsuboaji" in Shijo Omiya.

I went shopping at Takashimaya in Gifu and decided to buy some snacks to take home. As I was looking around the store, I noticed a nice smell and saw a small line forming. I found taiyaki! I waited in line and when it was my turn, I couldn't decide which flavor to get. They had red bean, custard, and matcha flavors. I ended up buying one of each - red bean and custard. The lady told me that if I wanted to warm them up, I could put them in the oven for about a minute for a delicious taste. They were freshly baked, so she advised me to keep my mouth open as I received the taiyaki. I tried them without warming them up and they were delicious. The skin was chewy and the custard inside was tasty. The tail part of the taiyaki was crispy. I enjoyed them after dinner.

I bought "taiyaki" and "takoyaki" at the store "Kofukuya" on Sanjo Shopping Street. The "taiyaki" and "takoyaki" from Kofukuya always have a consistent taste no matter when you eat them. I chose "anko" for the taiyaki and mayonnaise sauce for the takoyaki. The cute staff member seemed busy working alone that day! Maybe I came at an odd time. But their service with a smile was impressive. I will definitely stop by again when I visit Sanjo. Thank you for the meal!

I have used this place twice before for lunch and afternoon snack. The takoyaki here is delicious! It's not crispy, but it's soft and fluffy enough that you can't pick it up with a toothpick. I've tried it with ponzu and classic sauce, and personally I prefer the classic sauce. There were also various other sauces available. They also sell taiyaki, which was just a normal soft taiyaki. I will definitely buy takoyaki again!

Before my first visit, I found it hard to step into "Kofukuya" as it seemed a bit intimidating. But one cold winter day, I decided to give it a try. I joked to myself that holding a hot taiyaki would warm me up both physically and emotionally. So, I finally stepped into Kofukuya, which had seemed so daunting. I remember that day because I happened to be shopping nearby. Even though I was full and didn't need takoyaki, I thought I should try it next time. As I savored the taiyaki, I couldn't help but think about trying other menu items. A few months passed, but I finally fulfilled my wish of trying their okonomiyaki. Despite the price of 320 yen per piece, I decided to give it a shot. I brought it home and ate it while it was still warm. And let me tell you, Kofukuya exceeded my expectations! The okonomiyaki was fluffy, perfectly cooked, and delicious. The sauce was also tasty. I was truly happy with my purchase. For 320 yen, the quality was impressive. I wouldn't buy okonomiyaki for 400 or 500 yen if it wasn't as good as this. Kofukuya truly brings happiness! While I may not return for takoyaki, I highly recommend trying their butatama. It was delicious. I will definitely visit again.

Taiyaki is a very ordinary treat. The taste, the dough, the filling - everything is just average. I wish there was something special about it, like a thin crust or unique filling. However, it's not bad at all and actually quite tasty. Plus, it's only 100 yen, so it might be worth trying when passing by the shopping street. They also sell okonomiyaki and takoyaki.

I felt like eating taiyaki after a long time. It was smaller than I expected, but it was cheap so I guess it's fine. The taiyaki itself wasn't particularly delicious, but it gave me a nostalgic feeling. My friend gave me a piece of takoyaki they were eating, and it was soft and tasty. It's not a place I would go out of my way for, but it's easy to get to and might be good when you're a little hungry. There aren't many places that sell taiyaki, so in that sense, I think it's a good place to go when you want to feel nostalgic.

In Kyoto's Sanjo shopping street, they sell okonomiyaki, takoyaki, and Thai-style grilled fish. The takoyaki comes in a 6-piece set for 300 yen (there is also a 9-piece option). I asked for both mayonnaise and green onion toppings. The inside is very soft and gooey, making it difficult to pick up with a toothpick. The sauce is on the sweeter side, but it goes well with the generous amount of green onions. The texture of the octopus is enjoyable and satisfying. It was a takoyaki with a unique texture and price that you can't find in Tokyo. The Taiyaki seems to be filled with plenty of red bean paste, so I would like to try it next time.

Takeout used. My daughter gave this as a souvenir. She said she had the butter flavor. I went for the classic red bean paste! It's packed with red bean paste and delicious. It's still tasty even when it's cold. It's a reliable recommendation coming from the child of a Japanese sweet shop. The outer layer is also good to eat.

Ikebukuro Seibu Department Store National Flavor Specialty Association '23/4/20 (Thurs) to 4/30 (Sun) Pop-up Store [Menu] Custard 251 yen, An Butter 292 yen. While waiting in line for ramen, I checked out the pop-up shop next door, "Kofukuya," where they had 5 different flavors of taiyaki available. I chose "Custard" and "An Butter." They were served hot due to live cooking demonstration, but when I opened the paper bag at home, they were a bit soggy. There were instructions on how to reheat on the back. If there was an eat-in space at the venue, we could have enjoyed freshly baked taiyaki on the spot.

My family bought this for me. It's a large taiyaki with big fins, giving a sense of value. I have no idea about the sweets scene in Kyoto, let alone taiyaki. Is it a well-known treat in Kyoto? The taiyaki I received this time had chunky red bean paste inside. The fin part was crispy, like a senbei or cookie. The red bean paste, filled all the way to the tail, was not too sweet, which was just right for my taste buds since I didn't heat it up.

I explored the city on a rental bike and started to feel a little hungry. I noticed a takoyaki takeout shop that caught my interest. I found out there was a park nearby, so I bought some takoyaki and enjoyed it on a bench in the park. The takoyaki was hot, crispy on the outside, and gooey on the inside, which I really liked. It was topped with plenty of green onions, and the balance of the rich sauce and mayonnaise was perfect. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I made sure to properly dispose of the trash.
