I visited the restaurants in order, such as Gojyu-ya and Onikaina. The employees at each shop are all young but very pleasant, and I like them. I also feel good here. The food at each place is delicious, but I think it would be even more like Gojyu-ya if there were a little more vegetable dishes. However, I am satisfied.

I had a meal at a table on the second floor. The food was delicious, but it took a little long to come out, so the two hours flew by! However, the oden and fried food were really tasty. The birthday plate was a bit simple, but the taste was delicious! lol

I finally had the chance to visit the famous Iso Stand in Kyoto. Just as I had heard, the interior is stylish and the food is unique and satisfying. It doesn't feel like your typical standing bar, but more upscale. There were quite a few women in the restaurant, giving it a trendy and popular vibe. The drink glasses were also cute.

Ordered a mint lime sour, craft beer fried chicken, rare horse mackerel fry, salad, and mixed rice. The mint lime sour was the perfect drink for the scorching hot Kyoto weather. The craft beer was sweet and easy to drink. All the dishes were easy to eat. And the total cost was around 3500 yen per person, which was great value for money.

I was able to sit at the last available seat at the counter after 9 pm. I thought it was a standing bar, but there were mostly table seats. I had oden (daikon radish, rice cake), shirasu salad, karaage, beer, and highball for 4,100 yen. The oden with rice cake was surprisingly delicious. It had the elasticity of mochi. The shirasu salad had a perfect match of dressing and shirasu, which was also very delicious. The karaage had a mysterious spicy seasoning on it. It was super tasty!! I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I had a course meal at this restaurant. It was so delicious. The rare horse mackerel fry wasn't fishy at all! I wonder if they freeze it before frying. Yum yum → next dish. Wait, there's more? The rice dish at the end, I made it into onigiri and enjoyed it later. I'll make sure to come with an empty stomach next time.

It was absolutely amazing as always. It had been a while since I last went, but the taste was consistently delicious. I was guided to the second floor for the first time, and the atmosphere there was excellent, making it very comfortable. The rare fried horse mackerel is famous, but I decided to try something different this time. Whatever I eat here is seriously delicious. The oden they serve even in this season is irresistible. I'm seriously thrilled. I like exploring new places, but going to a place that never disappoints is also great. The staff members are all friendly, which adds to the experience. It's really great.

I visited this shop a short walk from Karasuma Station. The building seems to have been renovated from a machiya (traditional townhouse). The customers are mostly young people, with many women. I enjoyed the dishes while drinking homemade lemonade beer.
1. Scallops and summer vegetables with plum miso were delicious! The scallops, onions, and tomatoes all went well together, making it a perfect dish for summer.
2. Rare fried horse mackerel with tomato soy sauce - Since it's rare, you can taste the oil from the mackerel. The tomato soy sauce has a subtle tomato flavor, making it easy to eat.
3. Mixed rice with juicy chicken and crunchy leeks in soy sauce flavor - A delicious dish with a hint of burnt rice. Highly recommended!
4. Mapo eggplant - Spicy and flavorful with chili peppers and the fragrance of cilantro, giving it an ethnic touch. The eggplant was juicy and satisfying to eat.
Based on other reviews, it seems like the menu may vary depending on the season, so I would like to visit again at a different time. Thank you for the meal!

I didn't order much, but the rare horse mackerel fry for 2200 yen, melon and prosciutto with mascarpone, and celery and cheese wrapped in yuba were all delicious! I didn't have much of an appetite for some reason, so I couldn't eat much. I regret that.

It's been about a year since I last visited this popular ISO stand. Reservations are always necessary. I was surprised to see many foreign customers this time. The menu seemed to have expanded since my last visit, with many delicious creative dishes to choose from. I ordered daikon, konjac, Kyoto-style formaggio, rare horse mackerel cutlet, and drooling chicken. They were all very delicious. The Kyoto-style formaggio was particularly good, with cheese like gorgonzola sandwiched inside fried tofu. There were also many unique drinks, such as Spain's Nordes gin and tonic, which was described as "perfume to drink" and had a wonderful aroma. The second drink, a spiced shochu with cardamom, was also delicious. Both the food and drinks left me very satisfied.

I heard it was popular among young people. There is relatively loud background music playing. It's easy to have a conversation for two people. You can't hear the conversations of people around you. The standing bar space on the first floor is somewhat reserved for groups. Overall, the food is delicious. It left a safe impression. The white asparagus dish with crab miso was tasty without any fishy smell. The fried horse mackerel was delicious, but it seemed like it lacked seasoning. It might be better to make some improvements. It was impressive that even at 9:30 on a Friday night, the place was fully booked.

I went around April with two other male friends. The restaurant was overwhelmingly popular with female customers. They had a wide variety of vegetable-based dishes on the menu. There were also dishes topped with fruits and seasonal items (at that time it was firefly squid), which added a seasonal touch. In terms of price, it was on the higher side compared to regular izakayas, so the cost performance may not be the best if you plan to eat and drink a fair amount. We made a reservation on the same day and only had 90 minutes. We had to order food as soon as we entered, but unfortunately, the food didn't arrive within the time limit, so we had no choice but to leave. I plan to visit during a quieter time next time.

Located 411m from Karasuma Station, this two-story restaurant has a counter on the first floor and table seating on the second floor. It is always bustling with customers, a true sign of its popularity. The interior, built with wood, has a great atmosphere and gives off a stylish izakaya vibe. The menu features dishes that highlight the ingredients, as well as creatively crafted dishes. While the cost performance may not be the best, the unique and stylish dishes make it worth it. This place is particularly great for female gatherings or dates.

I visited the popular Izakaya restaurant Gojuka in Kyoto after making a reservation. The restaurant was packed with customers, showing its high popularity. Even though I was dining alone, the staff were friendly and recommended half-sized portions so I could enjoy a variety of snacks. The oden, in particular, was delicious. I tried three types that day: daikon radish, nama-fu (wheat gluten), and nama-wakame (seaweed), served separately with chili oil and sesame. It was a great combination that went well with drinks. I would love to visit again!

After the wedding ceremony, I went to a nice restaurant in Kyoto with my classmates who I haven't seen in a long time. It was a slightly modern place in Karasuma, Kyoto. As expected of the Gokka series, all the fish dishes were delicious. My favorites were the rare horse mackerel fry and the simmered rice with spring chrysanthemum and amberjack. We made a reservation but didn't have enough time, so next time, I want to take my time and order more dishes.

There are standing bars as well, so the age group tends to be younger. I personally love the wide variety of menu options and the creative dishes available. The stylish menu and unique oden selections make choosing and eating enjoyable. The food may not be mind-blowingly delicious, but there are cozy original dishes to choose from. There are also many Kyoto-inspired dishes, which might be appreciated by younger guests when being introduced to the restaurant.

This is a shop in the Ikujiya Group where you can enjoy freshly picked vegetables from their own farm. All of their affiliated stores offer delicious food at a reasonable price and are highly recommended. I visited on a weekday and it was crowded, so I started by standing and eventually got a seat when one became available. It's highly recommended to make a reservation. I tried the rare fried horse mackerel because other customers were ordering it. It was a luxurious dish made with fish that can also be eaten raw. The tomato sauce and salted lemon were both delicious with it. The salad made with fresh vegetables and fruits was also very tasty. I forgot to take a picture, but the seasonal mixed rice at the end of the meal is so delicious that you must order it.

I found a standing bar in Kyoto by searching on Instagram. I like the casual standing style. The food that goes well with alcohol, including sashimi, exceeded my expectations in terms of quality. The cost performance is good. If I didn't have another dinner appointment later, I would have wanted to order one more dish.

I made a reservation for 6:00 pm and the restaurant was immediately full. The overall atmosphere felt stylish. I'm not sure if the menu items I ordered were all unique or if that's just the theme of the place. I kind of want to go back and try again. The oden was a normal, gentle tasting oden.
