We cater to group customers, so the tone may be a bit casual. We usually start at 11 am, but if you make a reservation, we might be able to accommodate you earlier. The Special Seafood Bowl is 1500 yen, and the Children's Seafood Bowl is 850 yen. I personally think it's a great deal and highly recommend it. You can choose between regular rice or vinegared rice, and you can also get refills on your bowl. The sashimi slices are thick and satisfying. The simmered clams are delicious. Have courage and proceed to the entrance - you'll see the dining area!

I arrived at the market cafeteria in the purpose of Amanohashidate fishing port after driving along the coastline from Maizuru. The opening time is 11:00, and it is already past 10 minutes, but it seems they have not opened yet. There is already a line of about 30 people waiting. I decided to line up, and as soon as I did, the shutter opened and we entered the store. The store has many seats, so we could sit down quickly, but since there was only one lady managing the store, it seemed like it would take quite some time for the food to arrive with this number of people. About 30 people were lined up before opening, but after entering, when the lady said, "The food will take quite a bit of time," almost half of them gave up and went to other stores. Since the number of people in the store decreased significantly, I thought it would take about an hour to wait. I ordered the "Chef's Choice Fish Set Meal" that I had enjoyed before. While waiting for the food, I could see the beautiful view of Amanohashidate Bay from inside the store. The food arrived earlier than I expected, in about 50 minutes. Today's Chef's Choice Fish Set Meal included 10 items: rice, soup, grilled fish (flounder), grilled fish (sandfish), fried fish, assorted sashimi, salad, rolled omelette with broth, pickles, and fruit. The fried fish was delicious, like fried yellowtail, fluffy and very tasty. The dried flounder was also delicious. The dried sandfish had a rich umami flavor that made me want to drink sake. The assorted sashimi included sea bream, horse mackerel, and yellowtail. The yellowtail was fresh and had a firm texture, very delicious. Rice was free for refills, so of course, I had another serving. Just like last time, this meal was also satisfying with generous portions of delicious fish. I also received some candies on my way out. It was a truly enjoyable meal.

Sashimi set meal for ¥1800, Omakase set meal for ¥1500, which is ¥300 more expensive but you get a lot more sashimi. Recommended for those who want to eat a lot of raw fish. It includes turban shell and oysters, a seafood feast with plenty of side dishes to fill you up. Good value for money set meal.

I dropped in for lunch. The parking lot is located next to the restaurant. The dining area had a vinyl enclosure with an atmosphere reminiscent of an old market. I ordered the Chef's Special Fish Set Meal and the Premium Seafood Bowl for my partner. The set meal included boiled, grilled, and fried fish, offering a variety of fish dishes in one go, which was quite satisfying. Everything was warm and delicious. The sashimi was fresh and tasty. The Premium Seafood Bowl had plenty of fresh fish and was delicious. It was a cold day, and the dining area was a bit too chilly, but the food made up for it.

Heading north on National Route 27, passing through Maizuru and driving along the coast, we arrived in Miyazu. For lunch today, we visited a restaurant inside the Amanohashidate Market, located next to the famous seafood bowl restaurant "Kaisen Kawasaki." The restaurant offers a view of Miyazu Bay from inside. There are police motorcycles patrolling around as it is the autumn traffic safety period. The menu offers a variety of fresh seafood dishes caught in the morning by local fishermen. I ordered the chef's choice seafood set meal, which turned out to be a huge feast with a wide variety of dishes. The meal included rice, soup, fried fish, grilled fish, simmered fish, assorted sashimi, simmered shellfish, side dishes, pickles, salad, and fruit. The meal started with delicious deep-fried horse mackerel, followed by grilled beltfish and thread-sail filefish. The sashimi platter included sweet shrimp, sea bream, horse mackerel, and yellowtail. The turban shell was also delicious, with no sand in the liver. The rice was so good that I had to get a second helping. Compared to the popular restaurant "Kaisen Kawasaki" next door, this place offers a more affordable price with a generous portion size. I was very satisfied with the meal and would love to come back again to try the different seafood options available.

On the way to Amanohashidate, I found a seafood restaurant. The parking lot is reasonably large, so there is usually no waiting for parking. They also sell miscellaneous goods outside the restaurant. I ordered the Special Seafood Bowl for 1500 yen. It was nice to have grilled fish and turban shell included. Maybe they couldn't go fishing due to the bad weather these days... Thank you for the meal.

I happened to pass by here while on a little trip, so I decided to stop by. I went up to the second floor of "Amanohashidate Market Food Court" and they quickly prepared my order since they had just opened. The menu was extensive, but I chose the sashimi set meal! It took a little while, but when it arrived, it was quite substantial. For 1800 yen, I expected a decent amount of food, but it exceeded my expectations. It included grilled fish, simmered fish, sashimi, and small side dishes - truly a meal with a lot of volume. I was also able to get a refill of rice, so I left satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

During the middle day of the 3-day weekend, with good weather, we decided to go from Amanohashidate to Yunomine Onsen. While looking for a lunch place on the way, we found popular restaurants nearby, but all of them had long lines. Not wanting to waste time waiting, we ended up going to this restaurant. It was almost 2 PM, and we were the last customers. There was one other group waiting for their food inside. The seafood bowls at the original restaurant we planned to go to looked delicious, so my husband and I ordered the special seafood bowl here. However, we waited for quite a while and the food didn't come. After a long time, we saw another group getting their food served. When my husband asked about our order, they said they were making it just now. After waiting a bit longer, our special seafood bowls finally arrived. It had been 30 minutes since we entered the restaurant. Although we were not in a hurry, this 30-minute delay was quite a waste of time. And about the special seafood bowl, it was different from what we saw on the restaurant's food review photos. It had fewer side dishes, and the seafood on top of the rice was not as colorful and varied as we imagined. It seemed like a random placement of 3-4 types of sashimi on cold rice. We were also told at the payment that they had to deduct 200 yen each because they were short on ingredients for one dish, but we wished they had informed us when we ordered. The restaurant seemed to have originally been a meeting room, so it felt very bland. It was disappointing to have come all the way to the Japan Sea side and have this experience.

There were no customers when I arrived at the restaurant at 1:30 p.m. on a regular Thursday. I was a bit happy because I had been wanting to try this place for a while. The interior of the restaurant doesn't really have a market feel. I ordered the Special Premium Chirashi Bowl for 1500 yen including tax. It arrived 8 minutes after ordering. The grilled dish wasn't hot, so I wonder if it was already grilled. The bowl didn't have a luxurious or fresh feel to it. The presentation was a bit lacking. The soy sauce wasn't very tasty either. It was disappointing. Thank you for the meal.

From the center of Miyatsu City, head towards Amanohashidate on Route 176. As you start to see the sea on your right, you will see a white building with a sign for Amanohashidate Market. The restaurant is located on the second floor of this building. There is a spacious parking lot around the shop where you can park many cars. Upon entering the indoor area on the second floor, there was a sales space first. Where is the dining area? I asked an old man who was watching TV, "Can we have a meal here?" He replied, "Hey! We serve meals too!" Then, a lady came out from the kitchen in the back and said, "Please come this way." We were guided to a small room on the right side after entering. In the room, there were three 4-seater tables and one 6-seater table lined up. The daily recommendation was "Premium Seafood Bowl" and "Sashimi Set Meal." I was hesitating, but the lady recommended the Sashimi Set Meal saying that you can enjoy various local ingredients in it. I am weak when it comes to "local ingredients"... so I ordered the Sashimi Set Meal for 1800 yen. The dishes arrived in less than 10 minutes. Wow! What a generous serving! The sashimi included yellowtail, horse mackerel, Spanish mackerel, marlin, and squid. The texture was fresh and the taste was delicious. The dried sablefish is a local specialty here. It had a nice aroma and was delicious. The cooked belt fish was an unusual dish. It had a sweet seasoning. There was also turban shell! It was seasoned with a sweet sauce and even the liver was delicious. The simmered squid legs also had a sweet seasoning. It went well with rice. I ended up asking for a rice refill... Oden, dessert, and salad were also included in the 1800 yen set. The rice refill seemed to be a special service as the price remained the same. All the dishes were already cooked and there were no warm dishes, but everything was delicious even when cold. Considering that, it was a decent value for money. "Did you enjoy the meal?" asked the lady. "Yes, it was delicious! I need more rice!" I replied. With this kind of exchange, we left the restaurant. This might be a hidden gem of a dining place. However, if you expect fancy service or professional hospitality, it might be better to avoid this place. It's a simple dining place where local ladies from the fishing town serve delicious local food. Thank you for the delicious meal, lady!

The food was indeed cold, but there were plenty of dishes to enjoy. It might be better suited for dining alone or with close friends. If you're looking for a nice atmosphere or seriously delicious food, you might want to try somewhere else.

It seems that an aunt and an old man are running the place together, but it must be tough for the two of them to manage that space. Honestly, many people couldn't wait and ended up leaving. The taste and portion were both reasonable.

During a drive in Miyazu, I decided to check out this place based on reviews. I was craving seafood and was considering going to the center of Maizuru, but I expected it to be crowded on a Sunday. After searching, I found a hidden gem! I took a chance and entered from a back road off Route 178 towards the fishing port, where there was also a parking lot. I arrived right at noon and there was no one there. I was a bit worried, but then a couple arrived at the same time. Inside, there was a shop and tables and chairs in the back. There were hand-made signs and a very homey atmosphere. I looked at the menu and was about to order a seafood bowl, but the staff recommended the special seafood bowl, so I went along with it since it was only a 200 yen difference. The seafood finally arrived and in terms of value for money, it was decent. The seafood bowl was good, but the side dishes were a bit lacking. It's good for those with a light appetite, but not satisfying for those who like big portions. It's recommended for those who want to eat slowly and quietly. Just be careful when turning onto the road as the place is not directly facing the national highway!

My spouse and I ordered the special deluxe seafood bowl for ¥1500. The food arrived quite quickly after we placed our order. It seemed like the sashimi was already sliced and the grilled fish was already cooked and they just arranged it and served it to us... We were disappointed because we had come all the way to the seaside hoping to eat fresh seafood.

Suddenly, do Kyoto citizens know that the vertical road has been connected to Amanohashidate? It's a local topic, but until now, we had to get off at Tanba IC and then get back on at Wachi IC. It's really closer now. Because of that, I stopped by during my touring. It's a bit north along the coast from where Mipple and McDonald's are located. It's in a corner of the building in Miyazu City Market. In front of it, there are small warehouses for boats, and the sea is very close. Inside, it's more like a separated corner of a warehouse than a shop. Local mothers welcome you with a homely customer service. The recommended "seafood sushi bowl set meal" is 1,500 yen including tax. I'm not a fan of sashimi on white rice, so I was happy to have sushi rice instead. It may look plain, but it feels more like a local specialty. It also came with dried kamaboko, sazae, simmered buri, and wakame soup. I'm not sure if it was a good value for money for a tourist like me, but I was happy to enjoy it leisurely. When I think of Miyazu, "that restaurant" in front of the station comes to mind, but it has been so crowded recently that I haven't been there. It has a typical fisherman's cafeteria vibe and taste, and I was quite satisfied. I wonder how delicate or food-savvy people would feel about it. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
