From Fukuchiyama, take Prefectural Route 8 towards Ayabe. Just after the "Ayabe High School" intersection, you will find the restaurant on your right. It's a bit difficult to make a right turn, so I approached the restaurant by making a U-turn from the Nakatan Koryo Farm Road. There is parking space for 3 cars in front of the restaurant, and an additional 5-6 cars can be parked on the right side. Inside the restaurant, there are 4-seat table seats lined up on the right side of the aisle, separated by roll curtains. Further back, there seems to be a tatami room as a group of people entered that room while I was there. It seems to be a popular place as someone who came just before me was turned away. Luckily, my companion had made a reservation in advance. My companion ordered the "Chef's Special Set" (¥700) after looking at the menu and inquiring about it. I decided to order the Hamburg Steak Set with Demi-Glace Sauce (¥1000) and also got a side of fried chicken (¥700). You can choose between white rice and mountain vegetable rice. I couldn't decide, so the staff kindly offered to serve both. I was delighted! After a wait of about 10 minutes, all the dishes arrived. My companion's Chef's Special Set consisted of a "Salmon Marinade Bowl" with a modest amount. The taste was described as "just delicious." However, my companion felt it was a bit small for their liking. Now, my Hamburg Steak Set with Demi-Glace sauce was neatly presented with a beautiful color palette. It looked appetizing. When I took a bite, it was soft and tender, but crumbled easily. Perhaps due to the generous amount of onions, the meatiness of the steak was subtle. A standard Demi-Glace sauce complemented the dish well. The salad was also nicely arranged with vibrant colors. I wished there was a bit more of it. The egg on the plate, which would have been a good match with the steak, seemed to be more of a garnish, which was a bit disappointing. The miso soup was made with white miso and had daikon radish. The rice seemed freshly cooked and of good quality. The extra mountain vegetable rice was also delicious with a gentle flavor. The fried chicken I ordered on the side was large and juicy, with a generous portion of 5-6 pieces. Sprinkling some salt on it made it even more enjoyable with rice. My companion suggested having another round, but unfortunately, the generous portions of the dishes made it impossible for me to have seconds! The restaurant provided attentive service, and the subtle touches were appreciated. The dishes were delicious, and the thoughtfulness in the presentation made the dining experience enjoyable. Lunchtime is now smoke-free, which is a plus. Although I didn't confirm this myself, it seems like there is also a counter seating option. However, it might be challenging to visit without a reservation. Overall, I had a pleasant dining experience. Thank you for the meal! Note: I apologize for the blurry photos of the dishes. They looked much better in person.
