This is a shop near Miyatsu Station that offers handmade sausages and bacon. You can also enjoy some drinks at this place. I tried the Special Hot Dog Bacon Burger, which had cabbage and sausage sandwiched in it. The bread was warm and the sausage was crispy and bursting with flavor. It really highlighted the deliciousness of the ingredients. The Bacon Burger was a reminder that the usual hamburgers we eat rely on sauce and seasoning for flavor, while this one was delicious with the buns, vegetables, and bacon all coming together perfectly. It was a genuine deliciousness without any need for sauce or seasoning.

On March 7, 2021 at 4:30 PM, I found a shop during my morning walk. The building used to have a sign for "Hokka Hokka Tei" from what I remember. They make ham, sausages, and cured ham in the store. I tried the "Keze," which is a sausage without casing, and chose the "Chorizo" sausage. They served a daikon salad as a starter, followed by Spanish omelette, smoked liver, and a taste of pork jerky as a service. Even though it was supposed to be their break time from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, they let me stay past 5:00 PM. The father and daughter who run the shop seemed to get along well. I had an Asahi Super Dry beer in a bottle. They recommended the "Roast Ham Burger" for takeout, which was indeed delicious like a sandwich. The pork jerky I had at home had a strong smoky flavor and went well mixed in a salad. I was intrigued by their background as a leading expert in Inobuta processing in Susami Town. They had 30 years of experience in meat processing in Kanto, Nagoya, Shiga (Shima?), and Spain Village. They were also known as one of the only four people in Japan who can make raw ham. When asked about their connection to Miyazu, they mentioned being invited as a technical advisor to the Kurita Ham Factory (possibly "Tango Foods" that I passed by the next morning on my way to Maizuru) and opening this shop in December 2020.

I revisited the self-made workshop t.Farm near Miyazu Station on my way back from Kyotango. It is a shop that specializes in homemade ham and sausages. The owner seems to have many years of experience in meat processing. They offer a 300 yen burger with various options such as roast ham, thigh ham, beer ham, cheese, roast pork, bacon, and grilled pork. I got a hot dog and a thigh ham burger to go. The hot dog was not as impressive as when I first tried a frankfurter. I would like to try the frankfurter next time. The thigh ham burger had a fragrant ham filling. Located at 2070-35 Tsuruga, Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture.

On March 20, 2022, at 16:45, I visited a sandwich shop in Miyazu. Unfortunately, due to alcohol restrictions in the area, I couldn't enjoy a beer there. So, I decided to take the sandwiches back to my accommodation.
Miyazu seems to have a city-wide policy of not serving alcohol, as I noticed in other shops as well.
I asked for a recommendation, and the staff suggested the "Roast Ham Sandwich" and the "Frank Dog". The roast ham sandwich now comes with whole wheat bread instead of the previous white bread, making it even more delicious. It consisted of lettuce, mayonnaise, and roast ham.
The Frank Dog was a simple yet tasty hot dog with a thick frankfurter, cabbage, and mustard. The bread made with whole wheat flour added a nice touch to both sandwiches.
The owner mentioned that the hot dogs were initially targeted at high school students, but they seemed more suitable for adults, especially with a beer.
I also tried the "Cheese" and "Pepperoni" as souvenirs, which were vacuum-packed using a new machine introduced in the past year.
They also offered a "Frank" sausage stuffed in pig intestines at a reasonable price of ¥220, which was quite a deal. They even gave me some pork jerky as a bonus.
Overall, it was a fun and interesting place to enjoy high-quality ham and sausages. I look forward to visiting again to try their drinks. They accept PayPay as a payment method.

On the way back from Fudaya, I found a shop that sells homemade sausages and ham. The owner, who is now 70 years old, originally from Niigata Prefecture, moved to Tokyo at the age of 30 to pursue a career as a chef. He was inspired by the deliciousness of Spanish ham "Jamon Serrano" at a Spanish restaurant and decided to specialize in making ham. After learning the techniques of German ham and sausage making, he worked in the processing of wild boar in Susami-cho, Wakayama Prefecture, and retired as a factory manager. About 10 months ago, he opened this shop as the culmination of 40 years of ham and sausage making. As a hot dog enthusiast, I decided to buy one to take back to the hotel. I enjoyed it with the hotel coffee in my room. Under the shredded cabbage with a hint of curry flavor, there was a sausage thicker than a 500 yen coin. "Delicious!" The meaty flavor of this sausage is completely different from those of major food companies. I have always eaten hot dogs with sausages from major manufacturers, but this hot dog was a completely different experience. 2070-35 Tsuruga, Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture.

I walked across Amanohashidate, drove through a tunnel, and arrived at the station in Miyazu. Many seafood shops like Toto Marche were closed in this area. Near the famous shop, Tomitaya in Miyazu, there is a shop where you can dine in. However, I decided to get a takeout of coarse-ground sausages that seemed to go well with beer since I had to drive. To be honest, after enjoying the amazing taste and volume at Tomitaya later on, I wasn't sure if I really needed the sausages. But when I paired them with beer back at the hotel, they tasted absolutely delicious. The sausages are very authentic and handmade. If I had bought them in the opposite order, I might not have purchased them, but I'm glad I did.
