It opened on June 1, 2023, so the interior is still brand new. It's nice to work while looking at the greenery. The menu consists of drinks, Warabimochi Latte, Gelato, and Parfaits. Payment by card is also accepted. You can check the 6 available gelato flavors at the counter. The very friendly staff will assist you. After ordering, they prepare it promptly. On this day, I had the Black Rabbit Parfait (Waffle Cone) for 550 yen. So cute. You can choose between a cup or a cone, so I chose a waffle cone. I chose vanilla for the gelato flavor, as I wanted to fully enjoy the black honey and soybean flour without being disturbed by other flavors. It also comes with three pieces of Shiratama and rabbit ears. Visuals are important for sweets, right? Hmm, delicious. Even though the gelato with Shiratama is already unbeatable, the black honey and soybean flour are the finishing touch. "Cool and sweet" is a savior for the body and mind in the scorching heat. It had a decent volume, which was satisfying. Oh, by the way, in front of the parking lot, there was a VW Beetle covered in artificial turf. It had a license plate and there are eyewitness reports, so it seems that it is actually running with that fluffy appearance.

"Usagi no Shiro" - Is there any meaning in this name? Well, of course there is. I was alone in Asahikawa and the weather forecast last night said, "It will be hot tomorrow." My wife, who was watching the weather forecast, told me about it. I don't usually watch the weather forecast much, I tend to change the channel. But my wife's predictions are not always accurate, so I don't rely on them. But tomorrow's weather should be accurate, right? Despite the hot forecast, I came to Asahikawa from Otaru. I wonder what this old man who melts in the heat is thinking. That's why there are gelato shops along the route. Usagi no Shiro is a bit far from here. When I arrived, there was no shop, and other people's reviews mentioned that it was a mistake. I had planned to go to another shop first, but I ended up wasting time. Gelato is served here in a beautiful store with luxurious decorations like orchids. I didn't find the gelato very appealing, so I chose vanilla, which I thought would be the safest option. It's ice cream. The decoration is cute, but honestly, commercially available premium ice cream is much tastier. It felt like a very ordinary ice cream, and I didn't feel like it was worth coming all the way here for. It's cute, but these kinds of ice creams tend to not be very delicious in my biased experience. This is for kids, right? It doesn't seem suitable for young people either. There were three women running the shop, and the part-time girl hardly spoke. The woman who seemed to be the owner was very nice. I don't lie when I say I want them to do well. They seem to be targeting this cute style, which I think would attract children and young people. I hope they do well. Wasn't this place a gelato shop before?

The menu mainly consists of gelato and Japanese tea, with gelato parfaits also available. The menu items are very photogenic and look like they were made for Instagram. I ordered the "White Rabbit Parfait" (waffle) (550 yen) and the "Green Tea (Ice)" (300 yen). For the parfait, you can choose your favorite gelato flavor. I chose "Chocolate Banana". It was ready in about 5 minutes. The White Rabbit Parfait looks great with the white chocolate "rabbit ears" and fruit toppings of strawberries, kiwi, and yellow peach, as well as three pieces of shiratama. The gelato used is from "Ice Workshop Tamura Farm Clover" near Asahikawa Airport. It not only looks good but should also taste delicious! The sweet flavor of the chocolate banana goes well with the sweet and sour fruit toppings. The crispy waffle cone is also delicious. The Green Tea (Ice) was a perfect accompaniment to the sweet parfait. With the upcoming hot summer season, this place is likely to become popular for its delicious ice cream!
