I felt like eating hamburger, so I ended up at a non-chain restaurant. The interior had an American vibe, with even a small raised tatami seating area. I was intrigued by the lunch buffet advertised near the entrance, so I decided to go for it. The waitress brought me a salad plate and small side plates, which were quite tiny. The dishes were lined up at the counter near the entrance - hamburgers, chicken steak, shumai, okonomiyaki, fried chicken, fried oysters, fish fry, shrimp and egg fry, sausages, sweet and sour pork, fried rice, omelettes, gratin, pasta... The soups available were corn soup and consomme soup. A diverse and hearty lineup. There was also a salad counter, and rice was served in a jar. In front of the jar was chicken salad and pizza! I decided to try a bit of everything. The hamburger was juicy and served on a hot plate, with a choice of demi-glace sauce or grated ponzu. The chicken steak was my favorite, crispy and juicy, with a Japanese-style seasoning. The shumai was shrimp, but it seemed like a frozen product. The shrimp and egg fry on a skewer was not very impressive, also seemed like a frozen item. The pasta had a slightly strong flavor but was simple and tasty. The sausages were crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The salad had three dressing options for variety. The soup I chose was consomme, with onions and cabbage for a homey feel. The barley rice was easy to eat and had a healthy taste. The staff was a bit slow in replenishing dishes, so some items were missing at times. Overall, it was a good option when craving a lot of hamburgers. The quality was different from chain restaurants. However, the coffee I had afterwards, which was supposed to be special Dutch coffee, was a bit disappointing in taste.
