While exploring Arashiyama, it started raining so I had to cancel my plans and headed to this hotel from Saga-Arashiyama Station, taking the JR train to Nijo Station. It was a bit further from the station than I expected, next to the Kaio Academy dormitory, just a short walk from the bus stop. The hotel is not very noticeable as it is lined up with apartment buildings and mixed-use buildings. Upon entering through the glass door, I was seated at a table for two at 11:20. I had to wait a bit until the starting time of 11:30, and looking at the spread of food, the variety was a bit limited. However, they had Western dishes, Japanese dishes, bread and soba, rice dishes, cakes and Japanese sweets, as well as drinks. The Western dishes included omelets, steak, hamburgers, and gratin. The Japanese dishes included stir-fried pumpkin, simmered dried radish, konjac sashimi, and shumai. There was also okayu, soba and pasta, croissants, roll bread, curry rice, granola and cereal, pudding, tiramisu, green tea, chocolate cake, warabi mochi, ohagi, miso soup, corn soup, hot coffee, tea bags for black tea, orange juice, apple juice, and oolong tea, among others. Additionally, they added items like prosciutto and stir-fried pork with vegetables. Despite thinking that the variety was limited, I couldn't try everything. I wonder why they didn't have iced coffee and iced tea. More customers kept coming in, mostly locals. There didn't seem to be many hotel guests, perhaps because they had a hearty breakfast or preferred to explore tourist spots rather than leisurely having lunch here. On weekdays, it costs 1404 yen (tax included), and on weekends, it's 1620 yen. It was a satisfying meal.
