This hidden gem of a restaurant is located just off Route 9, nestled in a residential area. It's categorized as Mediterranean cuisine, but it seems similar to Italian cuisine. The restaurant has a counter, table seating, and a small private room for gatherings. According to their official website, they cook pizza, meat, and fish in a wood-burning oven imported from Italy.
The small appetizer dishes included a salad with purple carrots, fried white fish, and firefly squid. The soup was made with pumpkin. For pasta, there was either squid and broccoli or Wagyu meat sauce with cauliflower. The pizza options were Margherita or sausage with shiitake mushrooms. The aroma of the shiitake mushrooms was delightful. The meat sauce was delicious, as expected.
Italian cuisine is often associated with high prices and small portions, but this restaurant offers affordable prices with generous servings. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience.

I arrived at the restaurant just before closing time, but was pleasantly surprised when I was warmly welcomed and shown to a good table by the staff. Since it was my first time at this restaurant, I decided to play it safe and ordered the lunch menu. I asked the friendly staff for recommendations and ended up trying the pasta lunch. The service was excellent and I will definitely be coming back for the delicious food.

The restaurant has a nice and calm atmosphere. The Suzuki sauté was delicious, but the Salsiccia and Manganji pizza were probably the best pizzas I have ever had.

This is a Mediterranean restaurant located in the countryside of Fukuchiyama, but it can easily compete with city restaurants. From appetizers to desserts, including cheese to finish, there is no compromise in the quality of the dishes! The drinks menu is also extensive, with a variety of wines and after-dinner drinks. The dish we had that day was wild duck. The sauce made from roasting the duck bones paired perfectly with the duck, making it exquisite. I highly recommend trying the desserts here. Even after a full meal, and especially for someone like me who isn't a big fan of sweet things, the desserts here are so delicious that you'll finish them in no time. The food here will lift your spirits and energize your body, so be sure to give it a try. The dishes on that day were also incredibly delicious. Thank you for the feast.

I used this restaurant for lunch. I chose the Mediterranean lunch for 2,200 yen. It included soup, appetizer, pizza, pasta, main dish, dessert, and coffee, so it was quite substantial. When ordering with multiple people, you can share pizzas and pastas, so we ended up getting two pizzas this time. The pizzas baked in their homemade pizza oven were chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside, and they were more authentic than I had imagined. The main dish was flounder meuniere, which went well with their homemade mustard sauce and was very delicious. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

Today, I had a slightly luxurious lunch at Soleil, a Mediterranean cuisine restaurant with good reviews. Since it was just lunchtime, there were no other customers. The lunch set was 1600 yen, starting with soup. Last month's review mentioned cold soup, so I assumed it was cold, but it turned out to be hot! From September, they serve warm soup...but it was delicious! The appetizer that I was looking forward to was indeed tasty, just like the review said. I debated between pizza and pasta, but as a pasta lover, I chose pasta. I ordered the large portion, so it was very satisfying. When I finished eating, the staff came to confirm my soft drink order at the perfect timing! I had an iced coffee and yogurt for dessert, which were delicious until the end. However, I wish they had informed me about the additional 400 yen for the large portion when I ordered. After all, for an extra 200 yen, I could have had the main lunch dish.

I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant 12 years ago before they moved, and this was my second visit. I remember that they used to be located in a house in a residential area on the second floor, but now they have a spacious and relaxed restaurant in a flat location. The atmosphere inside is like a cafe terrace, and I enjoyed their lunch set for 1600 yen (including appetizer, pasta or pizza, dessert, and drink). You can choose from two types of pasta and pizza, which was fun. My sister and I decided to share a pasta and a pizza each. We chose the Manganji and Salsiccia pizza, and the Anglerfish and Paprika pasta. The soup and appetizer arrived shortly after, with colorful and visually appealing dishes. We also tried a new dish that looked like a mini potato salad, which sparked a lively discussion about its flavors. The snap peas with a Mediterranean twist were also interesting. The pizza, baked in a splendid oven, had a perfect texture, not too soft or too hard. The Salsiccia pizza with Manganji peppers looked beautiful and tasted delicious. The Anglerfish pasta was flavorful and tender, complemented by the vibrant colors of the Paprika and edamame. For dessert, we had tiramisu with iced coffee, which was rich yet refreshing. The staff served the dishes and drinks promptly and discreetly checked on us throughout the meal. Their attentive service made the experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely visit again!

2014・12 Review:
Asked colleagues for a recommendation for delicious Italian food in Fukuchiyama, and two of them suggested "Soleil". I decided to visit and found it a bit difficult to locate as it is slightly off the main street. They offer a lunch menu with options like the 1600 yen "Soleil Lunch" or the 2200 yen lunch with a main dish. I chose the 1600 yen lunch which started with a Minestrone soup that had memorable beans. The appetizers included salad, shiitake mushroom fritters, saury fry with tartar sauce, marinated octopus, and homemade pickles - all delicious! For the main course, you can choose from two pasta dishes and two pizza options. I chose the Margherita pizza and Salsiccia pasta, both of which were tasty. The dessert was homemade vanilla ice cream, and the service was impeccable with timely refills and hot food. Overall, the food and service were excellent.
2015・8 Review:
A vegetarian guest wanted to have an Italian farewell dinner, so we visited this place on a Tuesday. I ordered the 1600 yen lunch which started with delicious appetizers, including eggplant fritters instead of shiitake mushrooms this time. The fish dish was tasty with a dressing sauce. We ordered pasta and pizza to share - Margherita pizza and Salsiccia pasta with summer vegetables. The pizza was delicious, especially the Margherita. The pasta had a tomato sauce base with tasty summer vegetables. The service was impeccable with both me and the guest being very satisfied. A great dining experience!

I finished lunch and came to eat only pizza. I was seated at a table, but when I said, "Please let me take a photo," I was guided to the counter so that I could see the pizza being made. I was so engrossed in chatting that I didn't see them making it, but I was able to watch it being baked in the oven right in front of me. It only takes about 2 minutes to bake in the oven! It usually takes 4-5 minutes at home, right? It's definitely hotter and different from an oven, isn't it? The dessert was also homemade, and I left the restaurant very satisfied. Next time, I think I'll go for the course lunch.

Fukuchiyama is probably the only restaurant with a sommelier. The cuisine is more Mediterranean than Italian. The highlight here is definitely the wine. With a resident sommelier, they mainly offer wines from the Languedoc region in southern France, which are reasonably priced and delicious. The dishes are generally lightly seasoned, which may seem bland at first but have a gentle flavor when paired with wine. They also have a pizza oven, and the four cheese pizza is especially recommended. We usually order a la carte and open a bottle of wine, spending around 10,000 yen for two people. The sommelier can recommend wines based on your preferences and budget, with many affordable options available, including by the glass. They also provide vouchers worth 1,000 yen. If you want to enjoy wine in the Fukuchiyama area, this place is highly recommended.

I was surprised to find out that there are sommeliers at this restaurant, and that there are even two at Soleil. Soleil is the only restaurant in Fukuchiyama City with sommeliers on staff. The pizza and pasta were delicious. The appetizers, desserts, and fish dishes were also very tasty. Among them, the pizza and desserts stood out. It was my first time visiting, and I couldn't help but wonder why I hadn't been here before. After looking at the menu, I wanted to try everything, so I decided to come back at least 10 more times. I'm looking forward to having the sommeliers recommend wines for me to enjoy. I also plan to use their party sets for events in the future.

This is a hidden gem, located away from the station and off the main street, making it a favorite among regular customers. The service is always pleasant, with a skilled female staff member who knows how to maintain the perfect distance with customers. The interior has a calming Mediterranean atmosphere, and the counter seats allow you to watch the chef at work comfortably. The food here is exceptional, with delicious pizzas baked in their special oven and high-quality à la carte dishes. They use fresh local ingredients and each dish is not only tasty but also visually appealing. The attention to detail is evident in their simmered dishes. From appetizers to pizza, pasta, main courses, and desserts, everything is above average in taste. Even though it's a bit far from the station, it's definitely worth a visit. I go there at least once a month!

I wanted to eat pizza so I visited this place for the first time. I was told it was Neapolitan pizza, but I think I prefer the usual pizza with thicker toppings. I drank one and a half bottles of the recommended wine, which I really enjoyed. I told the master my preferences and the selection was perfect! The appetizers were served generously on a large plate and I was satisfied. The flavors were pleasant and not overpowering, suitable for most people. As for the pasta...hmm, I felt like it needed something more. I want to go back to find out what that something is. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is calm and I felt like I didn't want to hear children's voices here.

It was a group lunch, so we had the chef's choice for 1200 yen. The meal included soup, bread, salad, pizza, spaghetti, penne, pizza, and coffee, and it was very filling. The portion size for the price was great! I especially enjoyed the penne pasta with clams. I was surprised to see two types of pizza served. The bread was a nice touch for the kids. I couldn't even make it to dessert because I was so full, but it was enough. We had reserved a private room for our group, but we were not allowed to close the door, so it felt more like a semi-private space which was a bit disappointing as we couldn't relax fully due to kids running around. The taste and price were good. I would love to go back again!

It was my first time at this restaurant, and the game meat dishes were delicious! It was a bit disappointing that the food took a while to come out, as they seemed quite busy. I will definitely come back!
