Located just a few minutes from Kyoto Minami Second Exit, this restaurant is on the second floor of a building called Palace Plaza. It seems to be a venue for parties and banquets. For lunch, you can choose a main dish which comes with rice, bread, salad bar, drink bar, and soup. The premium hamburger steak for 1200 yen comes with a choice of demi-glace sauce, Japanese-style sauce, or tomato sauce. It takes about 17 minutes for the food to be served, but with the salad bar and cold soup available, the wait is not a problem. Be careful not to take the rice or bread too early as they may get cold. The bread, to be honest, is not recommended. Overall, the price is worth it as it even includes coffee after the meal.

I was looking for a Western-style restaurant with a parking lot on Tabelog, and I found this place. I went with my husband and aunt, a group of three. It was a day with no special events at Pulse Plaza, so the parking lot was empty. The restaurant is located on the second floor after going up the escalator. The interior was spacious and not crowded. The lunch menu had a limited selection, but I had pasta, my husband had mixed fry, and my aunt had herb-grilled chicken, I think. The portions were generous. The taste was average. Salad, bread, and rice are served buffet-style. Coffee, tea, and green tea were also free-flowing. The salad bar and bread selection were not extensive, but they were delicious. Overall, I think it's a good place because it has parking and you can relax. For those without a car, there is a bus stop right in front, so it seems convenient. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

In the past, I used to visit Madai-san often. I thought it had closed down, but to my surprise, it has relocated to Pulse Plaza. There is a spacious restaurant on the second floor. Regardless of which lunch option you choose, it comes with a salad bar, bread, rice, soup, tea, and coffee buffet. I chose the following mains: - Seafood Mix Fry: Shrimp fry, white fish fry, cream croquette. The cream croquette is delicious, but the accompanying vegetables are greasy and overall it's a bit heavy. - Carbonara: Made with homemade pancetta maybe? The taste is not bad, but it's a bit oily and slightly separated. It's affordable, and a good place to relax.

My daughter and I went to Jonan-gu Shrine in Kyoto with a friend. It was a bit early for plum blossoms, but some cute plum flowers were starting to bloom here and there! This restaurant is located on the second floor of the Kyoto Palace Building next to the Kyocera headquarters. Maybe it gets crowded when there are events? Today, there doesn't seem to be an event, so there is plenty of parking. My husband had the special hamburger steak. You can choose from 3 types of sauce, and he chose demi-glace sauce. The hamburger is quite meaty. My daughter had the red wine stewed young chicken thigh meat, a limited-time menu for this month. The meat is so tender!! They must have stewed it for a long time—the sauce is rich. I had the cheese cutlet made with pork loin. It seems to be a popular menu item here. The pork is crispy and the cheese inside is gooey, like mozzarella cheese with a bit of saltiness. Each dish is ¥1200 including tax, and it comes with a salad buffet and a drink bar. Rice and bread are self-service. There was also soup available. Masks and nylon gloves are required, and they have implemented COVID-19 prevention measures.

I visited an exhibition at Pulse Plaza next to Kyocera headquarters and had lunch at a spacious and open restaurant where I enjoyed a hamburger with salad buffet and drink bar. The quality and service were impressive, and I would definitely consider stopping by again. I used to be a fan of Inamori's books, so it was fun to reminisce about that while enjoying my meal.

During the event, I entered for lunch. They offer a salad bar, bread, rice, and drinks all-you-can-eat, along with ordering one dish. I recommend the lunch special of oven-baked lamb. It had a slight smell typical of lamb, but the taste was quite good. The cost performance is also good, so I recommend it when you have errands nearby.

Located in Kyoto's Fushimi Takebata Toba Palace Plaza, this Western-style restaurant is run by a chef who has been operating a Western-style bar in Kyoto for many years. Although there were no other customers during my visit on a weekday, it seems that many families come on weekends. A recommended dish is the famous cheese cutlet. They also offer daily specials like fresh pasta, all served with a soft drink bar. During my visit, I tried the shrimp fry, which was just a regular shrimp fry. But maybe that's what makes it good...probably.

Even on Saturdays, they serve lunch. There wasn't a daily special, but they have a 950 yen lunch set with a drink bar included. You can also have miso soup. I had the creamy omelette rice. Hmm, it wasn't as creamy as I expected, but the portion was huge. I couldn't finish it all. It was not crowded on Saturday, so I could enjoy a leisurely lunch. It was very relaxing.

I visited the Western-style restaurant "Madoi Shokudo" located in Pulse Plaza (Kyoto International Exhibition Hall). The dishes are carefully prepared and visually appealing with a good balance. However, the taste is average. The portions are small, including the rice, and leave you feeling only partially satisfied. It seems to cater more towards elderly customers. The location within an exhibition hall and being in Kyoto may contribute to the slightly higher prices, giving off a sense of being overpriced.

I visited for lunch on a regular day. It is located on the second floor of Pulse Plaza. There was a handwritten signboard under the escalator. The interior of the restaurant is spacious, with counter and table seats. It seems suitable for events like wedding receptions. There are many options for lunch, and all come with miso soup and all-you-can-drink beverages! It seems perfect for a girls' gathering. Most people around me ordered the daily special. I ordered the Seafood Mix Fry. Even the dressing for the salad was very well made and delicious. Among them, the shrimp fry was juicy and exquisite. The crab cream croquette was so delicious on its own that the tomato sauce seemed unnecessary. Considering the quality and price, I think the value for money is high! I want to visit again as there are other items that caught my eye. Thank you for the meal!

I didn't take any photos. I had some business at Pulse Plaza and stopped by for lunch on the way back. Since it's a Madogi group restaurant, I had some faint expectations. The spacious interior felt a bit cold. The lunch was 980 yen, and you can choose from Western food menu items like hamburger, cutlet, or omurice. Soup, salad, white rice, and soft drinks are self-service. The salad was served in a square glass dish about the size of a masu, but it was not enough so I ended up eating about 5 servings. The soup tasted like cube consomme. For the main dish, I chose the cheese cutlet made with pork loin, but it wasn't very filling. The taste was neither good nor bad, just a very ordinary Western meal. Personally, I found the Madogi group's restaurants in Uji near Kyoto University campus or Musshu Ito's to be better.

Kyoto Raku Nan Express is located on the 5th floor of Kyoto Pulse Plaza, just a short walk from Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit. There are no dining options nearby, so you may end up here for a meal. On Sundays, they offer a special event menu, with a bento box priced at 700 yen. The bento box includes fried white fish curry croquette, fried chicken, meatloaf, sausage, macaroni salad, tomato, pickled vegetables, pickled plum, sesame white rice, and parsley, all well-prepared and delicious. Other menu items include a sandwich for 300 yen, cola or orange juice for 100 yen, coffee for 200 yen, curry for 600 yen, fried chicken for 500 yen, fried potatoes for 200 yen, and bottled tea for 150 yen, all reasonably priced. Their regular lunch menu includes a soft drink bar for 950 yen, featuring dishes like pork loin cheese cutlet with salad and rice, chicken thigh steak with aged garlic soy sauce, crispy fish fry with tartar sauce, crab cream croquette with tomato sauce, aged demi-glace hamburger steak with salad and rice, fresh pasta with daily sauce, fluffy omelette rice with salad, and domestic beef curry with salad. All of them look delicious.
