This time, I visited "Ami Romantic Ishigama-tei" located in Kawaramachi, Kyoto. I had the luxurious "Hamo Kamon Course" priced at 7,920 yen. The course included: - Appetizers - Kyoto yuba and duck tataki, conger eel sashimi - Conger eel tempura and miso eggplant - Today's Kyoto duck dish - Hamo and duck hot pot - Rice porridge and ramen to finish - Dessert The conger eel tempura was fluffy and crispy, incredibly delicious. The miso eggplant was also very fresh and tasty. The Kyoto duck dish featured tender duck breast. The hamo and duck hot pot included fresh conger eel and duck shabu-shabu. The rare state of the fresh conger eel and duck in the hot pot was exceptionally delicious. I would definitely love to go back and try the duck hot pot again. Please give it a try when you have the chance!

"Ishigama Tei" @ishigama_official A very atmospheric restaurant located 3 minutes walk from Kawaramachi Station in Kyoto, along the Kamo River. You can enjoy Kyoto duck and Kyoto vegetables that are particular about Kyoto ingredients. This time, I had the luxurious "Kamokamo Course" (7920 yen) which included: - Appetizer - Kyoto yuba and Kyoto duck tataki, conger eel sashimi - Today's Kyoto duck dish - Conger eel tempura and eggplant miso dengaku - Conger eel bone senbei - Hamokamo hot pot - Finishing with rice porridge and ramen - Dessert This course is a luxurious course where you can enjoy both duck and leaves. The appetizers were all refreshing and the duck tataki had no gaminess and a good texture. The hot pot and miso dengaku were crispy and flavorful. The duck dish of the day was delicious with vegetables, tofu skin, and duck in a thick sauce. The hamokamo hot pot had two types of soup, duck paitan soup and Japanese dashi, both fresh and delicious. The ramen and rice porridge at the end had a delicious broth made with both eel and duck, which was amazing. Despite being full, I couldn't stop eating. For dessert, there was a "Kamotama Pudding" made with duck eggs, light and refreshing with a rich umami flavor. A luxurious course where you can enjoy duck and conger eel by the Kamo River. Highly recommended for both the atmosphere and taste. Thank you for the meal. "Ishigama-tei in Kyoto Kawaramachi is a Japanese restaurant specializing in duck dishes, located about a 3-minute walk from Kyoto Kawaramachi Station. The restaurant is housed in a renovated old Japanese house, creating a cozy and romantic atmosphere, perfect for a date. We tried the luxurious Hama Kamo course (7,920 yen) this time, which included: - Appetizer - Kyoto yuba and Kyoto duck Tataki, Hamo sashimi - Hamo tempura and eggplant Dengaku - Today's duck dish - Hamo Kamo hot pot - Rice porridge and ramen for the finish - Dessert The course focused on dishes featuring eel and duck. The appetizer started with Kyoto duck breast meat with ponzu sauce, which was tender and delicious. The Tataki of duck and sashimi of eel were also delightful. The Kyoto yuba dish was a luxurious combination, and both the duck and eel dishes were exceptional. The eel tempura and eggplant Dengaku were surprisingly delicious. The eel tempura was tender and flavorful, while the eggplant Dengaku was soft and tasty. The duck dish of the day, Duck Chibu-ni, was an exquisite creation that made me appreciate duck even more. The main dish of Hamo Kamo hot pot came with two types of broth - duck Paitan soup for the duck and a Japanese-style soup for the eel. Both broths were incredibly delicious, and adding sudachi citrus enhanced the flavors even more. The finish with ramen for duck and rice porridge for eel was satisfying. The dessert was the highlight - Kamo-tama pudding made with precious Kyoto duck eggs. The pudding was incredibly smooth and flavorful, definitely worth trying. Overall, from start to finish, the dishes exceeded my expectations and left me feeling incredibly happy. I made a reservation for a Sunday opening time, and the restaurant quickly filled up. It was popular among couples on dates, as well as groups of women. The healthy aspect of duck dishes seemed to appeal to many. I have found a new favorite restaurant. Thank you for the wonderful meal!"

I had the 1800 yen lunch menu. There were 3 options and I chose the cheapest one. It looked like Kyoto cuisine and tasted very good. The restaurant had a stylish atmosphere and a view of the Kamo River. It might be nice to visit for a trip, but I think dinner is the main focus.

Taste Romantic Ishigama-tei / Kyoto Kawaramachi @ishigama_official I had the specialty Kyoto duck and conger eel shabu-shabu at the romantic taste Ishigama-tei surrounded by the Kamo River and Takase River. The atmosphere at night with the lights on around here is amazing ❤️ [Luxury Momoka Course] 7920 yen (tax included) Summer to autumn limited *Reservation required It was the height of luxury to enjoy both Kyoto duck and conger eel at once♡ The course includes 7 dishes: - Watercress ohitashi - Kyoto yuba and Kyoto duck tataki, conger eel sashimi First, enjoy the conger eel sashimi with plum paste. Even in the summer, it is light and easy to eat, with a fluffy texture and good fat content. The duck tataki has a good chewy texture and you can fully enjoy the umami taste. I love the rich taste and soft texture of the yuba made from soybeans♡ - Conger eel tempura and eggplant in miso The conger eel tempura has a crispy texture that melts in your mouth and is delicious! The bones are crispy and fragrant. Both are served with rock salt. The sweet eggplant miso and spicy miso were both delicious. - Today's Kyoto duck dish Conger eel and eggplant in sweet vinegar sauce, paprika, and chewy nama-fu. The thick sauce is so delicious and makes you crave more~ - Hamokamo hot pot Shabu-shabu Kyoto duck in duck paitan soup. The transparent conger eel is eaten with a light Japanese broth. The evenly thick and beautiful Kyoto duck is extremely fresh and tender. The conger eel, which looks like a blooming flower after blanching, is soft, light, and delicious~ - Rice porridge and ramen Ramen, rice, egg. The rice porridge and ramen with concentrated umami soup make you want to eat more even when you're full. - Dessert "Kamotama pudding" made with Kyoto duck eggs. It's a rich and creamy pudding with a smooth texture. Ishigama-tei is the only place where you can enjoy both Kyoto duck and conger eel at the same time♡ Such a luxurious course may not be easy to find elsewhere. I was able to fully enjoy the night in Kyoto while looking at the Kamo River in the elegant Kyoto townhouse. A restaurant in Gion Shijo, Kyoto, where duck and conger eel are delicious! Ishigama Tei @ishigama_official. A wonderful atmosphere in a renovated old house along the Kamo River☺️ I recommend the evening course, so let me introduce the seasonal limited luxurious duck and conger eel course for 7,920 yen. This course allows you to enjoy Ishigama Tei's specialty Kyoto duck shabu-shabu and seasonal conger eel shabu-shabu at the same time. It's a luxurious course from summer to autumn. The duck tataki is soft and rich! The conger eel sashimi is tender and delicious. The conger eel tempura is crispy and the conger eel bone senbei is crunchy. The duck stew with soft-boiled egg and conger eel hot pot with rice porridge and ramen for finishing are all delicious. The duck tataki is soft and rich, and the conger eel sashimi is plump and juicy. The conger eel tempura is crispy and the conger eel bone senbei is crunchy. The duck stew is in a white broth soup and the conger eel is in a Japanese dashi broth. Both are delicious. The drink I recommend is Biwa Vitamin Soda, which is fruity, refreshing, and healthy. A hidden gem where you can leisurely enjoy conger eel and duck shabu-shabu at night! Highly recommended. While sightseeing in Kyoto, it suddenly started raining so I decided to have lunch at a restaurant that caught my eye. The exterior of the restaurant blended in well with the streets of Kyoto! I had a set meal with conger eel tempura for lunch! I enjoyed the tender conger eel and crispy batter. The side dishes also added to the Kyoto atmosphere, making it a great experience!

This is a shop along the Kamo River, but there is no open space on the river side. The duck dishes were all delicious and well thought out. Starting with the gizzard jelly salad, followed by the roast duck and the main dish of duck shabu-shabu. Although the course includes roast meat, I added thigh meat and personally found that the thigh meat brought out the deliciousness of the duck fat more. The highlight was the duck paitan soup, a milky white soup with a unique and delicious flavor that I had never experienced before. It's like a duck version of chicken water hotpot soup, but it's definitely worth trying at least once. The ramen for the finish was also excellent. By the way, the conger eel tempura was also very delicious.

I went to Ishigamaya for the first time in a long time! It's been about 4.5 years, I think? A friend invited me, and after work, we headed to Kawaramachi in a flash! It was about a 5-minute walk from Hankyu Kawaramachi Station and Gion Shijo Station, so the access was good! The menu we ordered today was: - Kyoto duck loin shabu-shabu hot pot for 2750 yen - Karasumi potato salad baked in a stone oven for 1320 yen - Kyoto duck breast tataki for 1540 yen - Sea bream sashimi for 1320 yen - Conger eel tempura for 1540 yen - Additional duck meat for the hot pot for 1430 yen - Fresh wheat gluten for 770 yen - Vegetable platter for 770 yen - Ramen for 550 yen. My friend made a reservation, and we were guided to a private room twice! There was a private room! The first floor seemed almost full, but the second floor was just us! The duck hot pot was incredibly delicious! When the surroundings turned slightly white, it was ready to eat! It was amazing to wrap the vegetables in the soup and eat them. My friend, who is a regular, recommended a way to eat it, which was to first put only pepper in the soup and drink it. It was also delicious! And the only way to finish the meal was definitely with ramen! The thin noodles were the best! We drank and ate with three people, and it was just under 10,000 yen per person! I highly recommend this restaurant when you visit Kyoto!

Along the Kamo River, enjoy duck and pike conger hotpot. The restaurant has a cool atmosphere with a view of the river. This time, try the limited-time "Luxurious Duck and Pike Conger Course" which includes chilled pike conger chawanmushi, sashimi, Kyoto tofu, seared Kyoto duck, pike conger tempura, eggplant dengaku, duck hotpot, rice porridge, ramen, and duck egg pudding for 7,920 yen (reservation required). It's still bright in the evening, so you can enjoy both the daytime and nighttime views of the Kamo River. The duck is flavorful and tender, while the pike conger is firm and easy to eat. Personally, I loved the rich duck bone soup (the white broth for the hotpot) and finished every last drop of the ramen. Don't miss the creamy duck egg pudding with a rich flavor. The place is called "Aminan Ishigama-tei" located in Kyoto, just a 3-minute walk from Kyoto Kawaramachi Station. They are open from 11:30 to 14:30 and 17:30 to 22:00.

I went to a duck cuisine specialty restaurant! Ishigama Tei @ishigama_official located along the Kamo River. I was seated at a table by the window. All the flavors were elegant, without any strong meaty smell, and I could truly taste the deliciousness of duck. I enjoyed both shabu-shabu and duck meat. From appetizers to dessert, I was satisfied. During my trip to Kyoto, I wanted to try something that felt truly Kyoto, so I decided to have duck hot pot. I made a reservation and visited Ishigama-tei. I was seated by the window where I could feel the greenery around me. For my drink, I tried a white grape wine soda, which I had never seen before. It had a strong grape aroma and was delicious. The duck hot pot set came with various side dishes. The duck hot pot was cooked in a gentle broth and you could add homemade Kyoto duck chili oil or pepper according to your preference. The meat was tender and flavorful, without any unpleasant smell. The side dishes were also amazing! In particular, the fried taro and the fried fresh wheat gluten in a miso-style sauce were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and very tasty. I'm glad I made a reservation for the duck hot pot lunch. The cute duck logo of the restaurant was also a nice touch in my opinion.

If you have come all the way to Kyoto, you'll want to experience the essence of Kyoto!! 'Ishigama-tei' will fulfill that wish for you. This lovely restaurant, renovated from a traditional house, offers a great atmosphere along the Kamo River where you can enjoy duck dishes. Visited with two people on a weekday. We had yuba appetizers, recommended duck tataki, and duck hot pot. Just as the reviews say, the duck has no gamey taste, especially the tataki with its firm texture was delicious! Highly recommended for a classy date night. ✨

This time, I ordered the Kyoto Duck Course (6930 yen), which includes: - Appetizer - Kyoto Duck Breast Tataki - Kyoto Duck Prosciutto Salad - Fried Kyoto Duck - Kyoto Duck Loin Steak - Kyoto Duck Loin Shabu-Shabu Hot Pot - Ramen or Zosui (rice porridge) for the finish - Dessert The appetizer was sesame tofu, with a hint of wasabi making it delicious right from the start. The Kyoto Duck Breast Tataki can be enjoyed with caviar, kaiware, and yuba. The meat is tender and melts in your mouth without any unpleasant odor. The Kyoto Duck Prosciutto Salad had a delicious dressing that I finished in no time. The fried items included Kyoto Duck breast, zucchini, and nama-fu. I was surprised at how delicious duck meat is when fried, and I wanted more of each! Next was the Loin Steak, which was tender and flavorful without any overpowering taste. When paired with salt, the deliciousness of the duck meat was enhanced even more. The Kyoto Duck Loin Shabu-Shabu featured a soup made of 100% duck, seasoned only with salt and soy sauce. The fresh duck meat made for a delightful shabu-shabu experience, especially when paired with the sweet Kujo green onions. For the finish, I had Zosui, which was incredibly delicious with its flavorful broth. I finished it in no time and was completely satisfied. The ramen also looked tempting, and I regret not getting it to go. The dessert was a "Kamotama Pudding," made with duck eggs, resulting in a rich and bouncy texture. I could eat multiple of these! From start to finish, it was all about duck! A duck lover's dream. Even my friend who was trying duck for the first time praised the deliciousness. Thank you for the wonderful meal! The restaurant offers a lovely view of the Kamo River. The interior has counter seats, table seats, and upstairs there are tatami and private rooms. This time, I was seated at a table with a view of the Kamo River. I visited in the evening, and the first floor was already full early on! I recommend making a reservation when you visit. Located in Kawaramachi, Kyoto, #Ishigama-tei Kyoto is a restaurant where you can enjoy the brand duck "Kyoto Duck." I couldn't forget the deliciousness of Kyoto Duck when I visited last autumn, so I decided to go again. I tried the Kyoto Duck Course for ¥6,930, which includes: - Appetizer - Kyoto Duck Breast Tataki - Fried Kyoto Duck - Kyoto Duck Loin Steak - Kyoto Duck Loin Shabu-Shabu Hot Pot - Choice of Ramen or Zosui (porridge) - Dessert: Duck Egg Pudding You can enjoy the deliciousness of Kyoto Duck in various ways such as Tataki, Tempura, Steak, and Shabu-Shabu. The high-quality, pure white fat that melts at body temperature is delicious. The Shabu-Shabu, served with Kyoto vegetables, has an exquisite broth. You can also enjoy flavor variations with Kyoto Duck oil made from 100% duck fat. It has a mellow spiciness. For the finish of the Shabu-Shabu, you can choose between Ramen or Zosui, and I chose Ramen this time. Of course, I drank up all the broth. The dessert, Duck Egg Pudding, was also delicious with its smooth and rich taste. The restaurant is conveniently located within a 4-minute walk from Gion-Shijo Station and Kawaramachi Station, along the Kamo River. From the window-side table where I sat, you can see a large cherry blossom tree and the Kamo River, making it a great spot for cherry blossom viewing season. Be sure to check it out!

This was my first visit to Ajiroman Ishigamaya in Kawaramachi, Kyoto! It is located a 3.4-minute walk from Kawaramachi Station. A friend who loves this place took me there. The dishes we ordered today were: - Kyoto Duck Shabu-Shabu Hot Pot for 2750 yen - Yuba with Sea Urchin - Bonito Tataki - Kyoto Duck Breast Tataki for 1540 yen - Kyoto Duck Soft Simmered Egg for 770 yen - Simmered Eggplant. I only listed the prices for some items. It was my first time trying duck shabu-shabu! I had heard that you can eat fresh and delicious duck meat, but the taste exceeded my expectations. The meat was very fresh, firm, and paired well with the light broth for a delicious shabu-shabu experience! I was hesitant about trying Tataki, but I overcame my reluctance and found it to be incredibly delicious! It might be even better than beef! This is a popular restaurant, so I recommend making a reservation before going. It was really delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I wanted to eat duck hot pot, so I went for lunch. The amount of duck in the hot pot was less than I expected. The timing of the side dishes being served was a bit slow. It would have been better if the side dishes were served while the hot pot was warming up. It would have been nice to have a dipping sauce for the hot pot. The side dishes were good!

I found this place unexpectedly! When I entered, I could catch a glimpse of the outside scenery, and the atmosphere inside was very nice. I sat at the counter, but there were also about three tables in the restaurant. I made a reservation for lunch on a holiday, but it was fully booked! They had a menu with obanzai lunch options, but I really wanted to try the duck meat, so I chose the duck hot pot lunch! Every dish, not just the duck hot pot, was delicious. It was a time where I could feel the essence of Kyoto.

I was able to enjoy various rare duck dishes, and in terms of the food alone, I was completely satisfied! The duck yukhoe was not only delicious, but the presentation of opening the smoked lid at the table was really interesting! However, the staff who served us seemed to be inexperienced, as I had ordered one serving of duck shabu-shabu but the bill showed two servings. So, when the shabu-shabu was served for two people, it made sense! The shabu-shabu pot and ladle were not provided, and when I asked about it, they had forgotten. I mentioned that I had only ordered one serving, not two, and after the bill was settled, a senior staff member came over, perhaps to apologize?... I felt bad, but then I was prompted to pay again... Since the food is delicious, I hope they can be more careful in the future...
