I was intrigued by the Yuzu-flavored grated chicken tatsuta I often see in commercials, so I visited the restaurant. I ordered the M set with potato and a drink. The buns were soft and delicious! I really think McDonald's offers great value for the price. The store has also been renovated, it's clean, and has a nice atmosphere, so I use it occasionally.

Ordered a Chicken McNugget Happy Meal (520 yen) with a small size French fries (190 yen). Side salad with roasted sesame dressing, orange juice for the drink, and mustard for the nugget sauce. This time, aiming to complete the first series of "Thomas the Tank Engine" toys. With three types, should be doable, right? The salad dressing was delicious, and the toy was a new character named Kana. While I originally ordered the Happy Meal for the kids, the tasty content was enjoyable for adults as well.

After coming back from the hot springs, I really wanted to drink a shake so I stopped by this place. I also decided to get a hamburger. They only had a limited-time coupon for a Kinako (soybean flour) flavored shake, which didn't really appeal to me, but I ordered it anyway. Surprisingly, the Kinako flavor was quite delicious. I thought it wasn't bad as I sipped on it. The hamburger I got was a Double Cheeseburger, but it was like a double of a Big Mac. The four patties gave it a really meaty feel! However, even with the increase in meatiness, the taste of the hamburger remained the same. It had a pretty strong black pepper flavor, I noticed.

After visiting the shrine in the middle of the night, I felt like having a warm cup of coffee. There are only three places north of Marutamachi Street that offer warm coffee: MAC near Kinkaku-ji to the south, Hanabusa at Doutor Tennocho in Tennocho, and this shop. I wonder how the flow of people and visitors will be on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day in Kyoto this year! I decided to drive around the city center and explore the area north of Oike Street. I am curious to see what kind of shops are open after 1:30 AM. I first visited a shrine to pay my respects to the gods and feel the atmosphere of Kyoto. I visited a shrine known for warding off evil, rice harvest, and demons. The shrine has a red torii gate and no lucky charms or bells, which is unusual. I wanted to show the traditional shrines of Kyoto. Next, I visited Imamiya Shrine in Murasakino, where there were few people. I paid my respects to the lucky god and saw three shiny new bells at the main hall. I greeted the gods from all directions and clapped my hands. The atmosphere on New Year's Day in Kyoto was surprisingly warm and peaceful, with light rain stopping. I then visited a McDonald's near Waratenjin Shrine. The parking lot was quite busy with students and families filling up the store. The hot coffee for 100 yen was surprisingly delicious, and the soft serve ice cream for 100 yen was also popular. It seemed like the warm winter weather made people crave soft serve ice cream. I only managed to take a photo of the exterior due to the crowded inside. In Kansai, it's called McDonald's, while in Kanto, it's called MAC. In America, it sounds like MacDaniel, which might be a mistake. I suddenly felt like drinking bourbon, like the silver horse decoration on Blanton's.

When I got off the bus near Kinkaku-ji, I found a stylish McDonald's. I was a little hungry, so I had a Big Mac and a Double Burger Set (with fries and coffee) for the first time in a while. There were many families around, and the place was filled with smiles.

When I visited Kinkaku-ji, I found the exterior of the McDonald's Cafe to be very stylish. The interior was filled with students studying, creating a studious atmosphere. There were multiple cash registers, which made the service efficient. The staff members had lovely smiles, and I thought this McDonald's was one of the better ones.

It's a beautiful and large McDonald's. There are a lot of foreigners, but I like the second floor and the golden arches. The parking lot is like a parking structure, so it's a little scary to park, haha.

There were many items that seemed Instagram-worthy, but I decided to go with a regular McDonald's menu item. It feels like it's been over 20 years since I last had a McDonald's burger. There are now many options like Loco Moco Burger, Ebi Burger, and burgers with eggs. I decided to go with the classic Double Cheeseburger. It's a taste that I occasionally crave. They also have seats with outlets, making it convenient for charging and working on a laptop.

While out, I heard about the "First McDonald's General Election" taking place, where the Double Cheeseburger emerged as the winner. As part of their promise, a limited-time offer of the "Triple Cheeseburger" is being sold at the same price. I checked out the website and the visual looked appealing. On my way back, I decided to drive through and buy it. When I got home, I tried both the Double and Triple Cheeseburgers side by side. The Triple Cheeseburger felt more like eating a thick hamburger with cheese rather than a distinct Triple Cheeseburger. It was quite filling, and having two of them was a bit much. The ingredients were the same, with onions and pickles, and the taste was as expected. The actual burgers looked different from the promotional images, with a noticeable difference in thickness. It was a fun experience, and despite the discrepancy in appearance, the burgers were tasty. Thank you for the meal!
