This place is quite common on TV, but I had never been there before. I bought some takoyaki here while visiting the nearby Yamazakiya shop. My favorite takoyaki is from a place called Aizuya in Osaka. I'm not a fan of too much sauce, so I always ask for less sauce no matter where I buy takoyaki. If available, I prefer soy sauce. I also don't like mayonnaise and nori, so I avoid anything that comes with them. Here, you can choose from about 7 different sauces, and I chose soy sauce without thinking. However, I forgot to ask for no nori. The takoyaki smelled great when it was hot, but when I took a bite, it had a slight bitter taste. It was a bit disappointing, maybe due to the oil or being left on the griddle for too long... It was just okay. Since it's not near my house, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but I might visit if I happen to be nearby.

Among the many ahoya shops, this shop is the best. I had some business at Rokujizo and happened to stop by this shop. I don't remember where exactly I first tried ahoya, but when I came to Kansai, I was wandering around in my car thinking, "Let's eat some flour-based food!" and happened to stop at that shop for a ridiculous reason. I thought, "What is 'pecha-yaki'?" but was drawn in by the price and decided to order it. That was the beginning of my addiction. Every time, we buy takoyaki and pecha-yaki, and it has become our routine to munch on them (lol). The Kansai-style takoyaki is really delicious, with its gooey center that I don't mind burning my mouth on (ﾟДﾟ)クワッ! I couldn't resist and devoured it (lol). Everything is just so delicious (note: praising it). Personally, it's a powder-based chain shop that I really love. I sincerely hope they come to Kanto soon (lol).

I went to Ahoya Daigo store in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, along the outer ring road around 11 pm when I felt a little hungry. I wasn't very enthusiastic about it, but since it was nearby, I decided to go. They had takoyaki, pechayaki, and white taiyaki, but I chose to have the takoyaki which was 7 for 350 yen. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the takoyaki I received was soft both on the outside and inside, and the octopus was small and not very tasty. While I was there, I felt a little scared as customers almost got hit by cars parked on the sidewalk, but the staff seemed indifferent. More concerning to me was the inconsistency in the quality of the food, sometimes crispy and other times soft. I regretted going there in the end.

Today, I came here feeling a little dizzy after eating FrenchDog's hamburger. So, I only had a little bit. I was also interested in the peach-shaped cakes, but ended up trying the takoyaki - 7 pieces for 350 yen. It was cheap and delicious. The takoyaki was fluffy and soft, and each piece was quite large. I couldn't eat it in just one bite. There was a bench in front of the store, and I ate the takoyaki while watching them being cooked - it felt like a real takoyaki shop experience. When I tried to eat, they even brought me chopsticks, very kind of them, even though we only shared one plate. Next time, I will come back to buy the recommended peach-shaped cakes and taiyaki as well! Thank you for the meal!

I bought takosen because I was feeling a little hungry. Inside, there were two pieces of takoyaki. The price has gone up since I last bought it a few years ago, from 150 yen. The taste was average. Thank you for the meal.
