Ayabe business trip! It was my first time visiting, but it's a very calm and nice town. The scenery on the way from Kyoto is also impressive. Now, in this area, there is a highly reputed restaurant, and guess what... they have a hearth! You can enjoy a luxurious evening savoring charcoal-grilled dishes while having a great time. I added various items to the charcoal-grilled course and enjoyed it. The sake was also great. Cheers with fresh sake, delicious! The homemade dishes have a rich flavor. The grilled assortment is amazing, featuring local chicken with a satisfying texture. The beef is wagyu, sweet on its own, and even more luxurious when grilled on the hearth. The oysters, once the butter melts and soy sauce is added, are big and delicious. The milky Kubota commemorative sake is amazing, it soaks into your DNA like it's meant to be. The bonito with garlic, thickly sliced, is fresh and incredibly satisfying. Before I knew it, I had lost track of time and enjoyed myself. The restaurant has a very charming atmosphere. It's located along a river, and the view must be stunning during the day. While I occasionally see old traditional izakayas, this one has a unique taste to it. The service is excellent, with a touch of sincerity and sophistication. Overall, this restaurant exceeded my expectations! It's a very good place worth a visit for its nostalgic old traditional izakaya atmosphere. Highly recommended. Thank you for the feast!

I had missed a few opportunities to visit this restaurant due to last-minute cancellations or not being able to get a reservation without one, but I finally made it for lunch. The atmosphere overlooking the Yuragawa River was lovely, just as the name suggests. I tried the most popular item, the Takekago Gozen, which came with 7 small dishes, chawanmushi, and soup, making it look very elegant ❤️... However, I didn't feel like it was worth traveling out of town for. It was a nice meal.

I used it for lunch. It is a restaurant where you can enjoy delicious Japanese food while overlooking the Yuragawa River. Although it is a bit expensive, the service was good and the food was delicious, so it is a satisfying restaurant. I was also full. It is a restaurant that I would like to use as a reward once in a while.

It is a calm building along the river, resembling a traditional Japanese house. I visited at night to celebrate my child's Shichi-Go-San. We were seated at a table with a sunken hearth and dug-out space. There is also a second floor. The salad, appetizers, fried chicken, and assorted sushi were all delicious! I ordered a kids' lunch for my child, which came with a huge shrimp fry!! It also included a hamburger, croquette, salad, and rice ball - very generous portions and great quality. The staff members have a calm demeanor. I have also been here for lunch, where the clientele is mostly women. There are seats where you can eat while looking at the river's flow. Lunch is also popular, so I recommend making a reservation.

I enjoyed a luxurious lunch at Yurari Yuragawa. The Wagyu beef yakiniku set meal was amazing!

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice, but we couldn't see the view at night, so we didn't get the full "Yurari" experience. The fried tofu with miso sauce was delicious and memorable, but nothing else really stood out to us.

I had always seen this place a lot on social media, so I finally got a chance to go. The Hanakago Gozen was sold out by the time it was our turn. Even on a weekday and in a slightly hard-to-find location, it was packed with customers. The dishes were small but you could have unlimited rice, so I ended up very full! The flavors were light and gentle.

We stopped by for lunch while playing in the snow with the kids. We made a reservation around noon and were able to get a table. Perhaps due to the heavy snowfall. We were seated at a sunken kotatsu table near the entrance. It was nice to have electric carpets for our legs and feet. Since we were with children, we appreciated the thoughtful seating arrangement that allowed us to relax. We ordered the classic bamboo box set meal and a kids' lunch. The freshness of the sashimi left a lasting impression. The kids particularly enjoyed the croquettes and finished their meal. Dessert and coffee were also included, making us linger longer than expected.

I visited Ayabe City (*☻-☻*) It's quite far, in the north of Kyoto. The area around Tamba has developed in recent years with the expansion of highways, making access more convenient. Although the purpose of my visit was different, we decided to have dinner in Ayabe since we were already there. After searching online, we found a stylish restaurant called Yurari Yuragawa. Here are some details:
- Restaurant Name: Yurari Yuragawa
- Average Cost: 4000 yen
- Day Visited: Tuesday
- Time of Entry: 7:00 PM
- Occupancy Rate: 50%
- Location: Along the Yuragawa River
- Exterior: Traditional design with a beautiful wood finish
- Interior: Sunken hearth, tatami mats, traditional Japanese style
- Seating: 80 seats
- Food:
- Grilled Course (3000 yen)
- The appetizer dishes were cute and the flavors really brought out the freshness of the ingredients.
- The salad was so crispy, it felt like it was freshly picked!
- The homemade tofu soaked in a flavorful broth was delicious. The tofu was firm and easy to pick up with chopsticks.
- The grilled items were amazing - sweetfish, squid, tender meat, tongue, vegetables. All of this for 3000 yen was a great deal.
- The view was also fantastic, providing a refreshing change of scenery.
Overall, I had a very satisfying experience enjoying the beautiful riverside setting and delicious food. Thank you very much!

I have used this place several times when I went to Ayabe. It faces the Yuragawa River and has a large traditional Japanese house exterior. Inside, it is somewhat dark with high ceilings and a stylish Japanese modern feel. The tatami seating with sunken kotatsu tables was comfortable, and the seating area felt spacious. There were a few groups of salarymen dining, so it seems suitable for casual outings. If you sit at the counter, you can enjoy your meal while looking out at the Yuragawa River. The Hanakago Zen meal for 1680 yen looks beautiful and is recommended as it offers a variety of dishes in small portions. The Yurari Bento was also delicious. It may not look as impressive as the Hanakago, but for 980 yen, it is worth it. The Karaage Teishoku, also for 980 yen, may not be anything special, but you can feel the care put into its preparation, providing a satisfying experience beyond its price.

I have used this restaurant several times. I usually sit at the hearth seat, but this time I was seated at the counter where I could enjoy the view of the river. It is usually full depending on the time, so it is best to make a reservation by phone before going. I had the Hana-kago Gozen set with someone I had been to before, which costs ¥1680 and comes with various small dishes, so I think any woman would be very satisfied. This time, I opted for the Kara-Koro Teishoku set, which was priced down significantly. The croquettes were named "Grandma's homemade" so I knew they would be delicious, and they were freshly fried and tasty. The fried chicken also had a wonderful garlic aroma. My friend had the light and simple Tororo Teishoku set. It was a rainy day, so the view of the river was not great, but on a sunny day, I think it would be a pleasant place to eat. However, in this season, women may need to be mindful of UV rays at the counter seats, so it might be a little challenging on sunny days.

I visited a cafe called "Tamba Tea House Yurari" in Ayabe City after enjoying lunch at the restaurant Takeuchi in Maizuru for the first time in a while. It is a cafe located by the Yura River. A large raccoon statue welcomes you next to the parking lot. The cafe was bigger than I imagined. You take off your shoes at the entrance and go inside. The building has a lovely atmosphere with a high ceiling and large beams. There is a round table in the center of a sunken kotatsu. There is also a counter kotatsu along the river. With the foot warmer provided, the atmosphere is warm and cozy. The view of the Yura River is very beautiful, and the large windows provide an open feeling.
[I had] Matcha Kuzu-nagashi, which is a chilled and soft matcha-flavored kuzu. It is mixed with large red bean paste and whipped cream. It was very light and delicious. Although there was quite a lot, I was able to eat it smoothly.
[As for the] coffee, I enjoyed it while relaxing in the nice location. It was a wonderful cafe where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and refresh yourself slowly.

I sometimes use this place, but you need to make a reservation in advance or you might be turned away because it's full. So, I highly recommend making a reservation early when you plan to visit. You can also have lunch there, but the atmosphere is better in the evening. The food is delicious and you can tell they pay attention to each ingredient. If you enjoy drinking, they have a variety of different sake brands available. If you have children (0-3 years old), they sometimes lend toys. If you have young children who can't sit still, it's a good idea to mention it when making a reservation so they can consider the seating arrangement.

I went to Yurari on Hirokoji, but it was full, so they called and directed me here. I went with my child and we had the kids' lunch and Yurari bento. The kids' lunch was very luxurious with my child's favorite hamburger, shrimp fry, and even cheese fry, which made my child very happy. It also came with juice and dessert, which felt like a great deal. The bento had a variety of items in small portions, making it fun to eat. There was more food than it looked, and even though I wanted to eat dessert, I was too full. It was quite crowded on Sunday, with many groups of customers (families and relatives). The staff were attentive, even entertaining the babies of customers, allowing them to enjoy their meal. However, I could hear the staff chatting with each other, which was a bit distracting. Overall, the atmosphere gets a slightly lower rating.
