On my way back from Nara, I decided to stop by Kyoto Uji to have some soft serve ice cream before heading home. I ended up going to Kyoeiseicha Ichinoshou, a tea shop near Sanjusangendo Shrine. They had matcha dango, but unfortunately they were sold out by 3pm. I ordered the stone-ground Uji matcha soft serve ice cream instead. Due to the current situation with Covid, I couldn't eat inside the shop, so I just took a photo of the ice cream and ate it in the car before driving off. It was really rich and delicious. I will definitely come back again. Thank you!

I visited "Kyoei Seicha Ichinosho" located right next to the three shrines of Misato in Uji City. I also made a side trip to try their "Matcha Ame" candy, which has a nice blend of adult matcha powder flavor and sweet candy taste. For more information about the restaurant's menu, atmosphere, and recommended points, please check their Instagram, LINE official account, or Facebook if you are using a smartphone. I visited "Kyoei Seicha Ichinosho" located right next to the shrine at the Sanjya Gyotaijo in Uji City. They offer delicious treats such as matcha soft serve and tea dumplings made with high-quality tea. The recommended dish by the chef is the matcha soft serve, which is really delicious! In addition to matcha soft serve, they also have tea dumplings and matcha castella. For more information about the menu, atmosphere, and highlights of the shop, please check their Instagram, LINE official account, or Facebook if you are using a smartphone. I stopped by after playing badminton at Uji Tahara Elementary School's gymnasium. Uji is known for its tea fields, so I couldn't resist stopping by a shop that sells tea and matcha. Since I had just finished exercising, I decided to try the matcha soft serve. The matcha flavor was excellent, rich, and delicious. I also received tea and matcha candy as a service, thank you very much. It was a good tea. I would love to visit again if I'm in the area.

I received this as a souvenir and thought there would be a registration, but there wasn't, so I picked up the box from the trash and checked the registration website. It seems to be a tea shop. It has a traditional Japanese house atmosphere, which looks nice. It costs 130 yen per piece. Even though there is no red bean paste inside, the chewy texture and subtle tea aroma are nice. It would be great to enjoy it with tea, but I had it with barley tea instead. I wonder if they have other varieties. I'm interested in this shop.

I heard that the matcha soft serve at this place is delicious, so I went to try it out. The matcha soft serve here is rich and has a strong matcha flavor, but it is light and refreshing with a clean finish. I also tried the tea dumplings at the table, which were chewy and not too sweet, with a strong matcha taste. The tea served at the shop was also delicious, as well as the tea snacks and candies sold at the shop. I would love to visit this shop again.

In Uji-Tawaracho, a town known for its tea, there are several shops along National Route 307 that offer matcha soft serve ice cream. Each shop has its own unique flavor, so it's fun to find your favorite. The matcha soft serve at Ichi no Sho is relatively light. It's perfect for when you want something refreshing on a hot summer day. It costs 200 yen per cone, which is a reasonable price. The shop has a few chairs inside where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream, and they even serve delicious tea. They also offer some matcha sweets as well. Despite only buying one soft serve, they provide great hospitality. While relaxing inside the shop, I noticed that many customers were coming in and buying various matcha sweets. It seems to be a popular spot.

I received a souvenir from someone who went to Kyoto. It said to chill it in the refrigerator, so I put it in the fridge. I almost forgot about it, but rescued it from the fridge just now. The expiration date is still good, so it should be fine. Let's open it and see. It turned out to be tea sweets, which I'm not a big fan of. But since it's here, let's try the Gyokuro one. The texture of the Gateau Chocolat is unique, and the taste goes well with the tea. It's not as sweet as I thought, but it has a nice balance of tea flavor and sweetness. It's actually quite delicious. Now, let's try the Houjicha one. Oh wow, this is amazing! The aroma is rich and toasty, and the sweetness is elegant. The combination of white chocolate and tea flavor is excellent. I apologize for saying I don't like tea sweets. These are different. I had a black coffee from Starbucks on hand, so I paired it with that. I wish I had Japanese tea instead. Thank you for the delicious souvenir. I'll savor the rest slowly before the expiration date. Thank you to the store, Gyokuro, Houjicha, Ichinoshou, and Kyoto Futae. Thank you for the treat.

I received a hit product!! This time, I received... Matcha candy. The content and taste... Matcha candy is a soft milk candy combined with matcha and gyokuro, wrapped in matcha. When you eat it, the delicious bitterness of matcha spreads at first, then you reach the candy part where the milkiness and matcha bitterness balanced with gyokuro in the soft candy spread just right. It's a taste that makes you want to eat as many as you can. I liked it so much that I almost finished them all myself, much to my mother's dismay. I highly recommend it!
