This time, it's about the Drive series. I visited Kyoto to collect goshuin stamps. Due to Golden Week, Kyoto was bustling with tourists. I visited several places in the morning, and finally, I was on my way to some restaurants I had researched in advance for lunch, but my schedule got messed up, and it was around 2 p.m. Most of the lunchtime restaurants were already closed, and I was starting to feel a bit worried. However, Highlight was open regardless of lunchtime, so I decided to have lunch there today. Since there is a university nearby, the place was crowded with students. The restaurant was bustling with students and locals even though it was past 2 p.m. Since there was no parking lot here, I parked at a nearby temple and walked over. But it was close by, so it wasn't a long walk. The restaurant was quite spacious as there were about 5 tables and 3 counter seats with some space in between. It seemed like there were also seats on the second floor, but I couldn't confirm. As usual, dining alone, I sat at the counter and checked the menu. I had planned to order the Jumbo Chicken Cutlet Set as per my research, but since it was a student-oriented restaurant, the menu was extensive. However, I decided to go with the popular menu item, the Jumbo Chicken Cutlet Set as planned. After a short wait, it arrived. It was indeed jumbo. The tomato sauce with plenty of onions on top was also generous, and it was delicious with a satisfying texture. The rice portion was also generous, probably to cater to students. The price was very reasonable, considering it was aimed at students. If I were a student, I would probably come here every day to try different items on the menu. Looking at the menu, there was a Jumbo menu that included 2 pieces of Jumbo Chicken Cutlet. I feel like I can take on the challenge, so I would like to try it next time. There were many other dining options around due to the university's proximity, and I saw some other interesting restaurants that I would like to try. When I come to Kyoto again, I would like to explore further. I was able to pay with PayPay, which was convenient. That's all.
