Today's lunch was at "Coffee & Restaurant With You" in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto. It's a cafe located at the Otedo-Suji intersection. I suddenly felt like having cafe-style Napolitan, but all the major chain stores were crowded, so I decided to visit here thinking I could get a seat. You can park in front of the store, and there is a large parking lot on the south side of the store. The interior has a sense of history. The BOSE speakers on the ceiling also add to the nostalgic feel. It seems like the menu has changed since my last visit. Due to recent price increases, the prices have also gone up. I couldn't find Napolitan on the pasta page. So, I ordered the "Traditional Italian + Blend Coffee" for 1140 yen, thinking it might be similar. Later, I found out that in Kansai, Napolitan has always been referred to as Italian, which made me feel the history of this place. Many customers of this store seem to be attracted by the fact that smoking is allowed in all seats. As soon as I opened the door, I could smell the cigarette smoke. I requested coffee, which came out with the food. The Italian here is actually different from the typical Napolitan. It has thinly sliced ham, green peppers, onions, which are common in Napolitan. However, the noodles are thinner than expected, and the ketchup is diluted. Unlike the image of chewy noodles getting messy with the sauce, it's more like spaghetti with tomato sauce. My Napolitan cravings were left unsatisfied.

I skipped the simple breakfast at a business hotel in the heart of the city and opted for an even simpler breakfast on my way to Joyo City. I wanted to try the "Maruki Bakery 3.74" coppe bread, but I couldn't resist the temptation of exploring a new place. I found a spot to park easily at this place, but hesitated when I saw a sign saying "Smoking allowed in the front." Oh well, I'll just eat quickly and leave. They offer 6 different types of morning sets ranging from 500 to 830 yen, which is convenient for locals with their early opening hours from 6:30. Inside, there was a spacious counter with about 5 customers on the right side. I sat towards the empty area in the back. The seemingly unfriendly master brought me water without a word. I ordered set B with hot coffee. The breakfast was simple and surprisingly delicious. The bread was fluffy, the sausage had a nice firm skin, and the shredded cabbage had a subtle curry flavor. The coffee had a refreshing acidity and a slightly deep roast. I quickly finished my meal and left, trying to avoid the cigarette smoke as much as possible. I've been smoke-free for about 20 years, so I'm sensitive to it now. I worry about accidentally picking up the habit again, as it has happened a few times in the past when I smoked while drinking at bars.

I came for lunch on December 11, 2020, Friday. I had tarako spaghetti and beef curry. They were incredibly delicious and fantastic. My mouth was filled with happiness. I am completely satisfied and happy. The restaurant is spacious and relaxing. It is perfect for smokers as smoking is allowed, but I'm sorry, I don't smoke. Thank you for the meal. This is a cafe along Route 1 in Fushimi, with a parking lot and long opening hours for convenience. It is rare these days, but smoking is allowed. Not recommended for those who dislike it. I ordered the hamburger doria and it was delicious and piping hot. The menu is also varied. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it easy to stay longer. Highly recommended!

I initially planned to have breakfast at a different place, but unfortunately it was closed. So, I ended up going to the Gusto in Jujo. However, they were experiencing gas trouble and had limited menu options available. After some consideration, I found another place for breakfast. A single-family house cafe located on the south side of the entrance to Higashii Street, along Route 1, in front of the Sosei Kai General Hospital. The vivid pink angular entrance gives off a slightly bubbly vibe. Similar to Bamboo House, it has a spacious parking space. The large space has a high ceiling with ceiling fans and an open layout in the center. The interior is warm and unified with a wood theme, creating a European modern atmosphere. The seating includes bench seats, table seats, and a counter with a large table layout. The atmosphere is stylish with classy curtains and chairs of different styles. Jazz and 70s Western music play from BOSE speakers, creating a relaxing ambiance. The kitchen sounds of cooking add to the experience. There are around 50 seats, all smoking permitted, sticking to a Showa-era policy. The lunch menu includes Western food and cutlet sandwiches with generous portions. During lunchtime, coffee and tea come with free refills. I chose the omurice, salad, and hot coffee while sitting by the center garden. The omurice on a white plate stands out with its bright yellow color. The egg is cooked in an old-fashioned hard style, with bell peppers, onions, sliced red sausages, and mushrooms inside the soft rice with a simple ketchup flavor. The demi-glace sauce is not too bitter, with a soft and sweet taste. The salad is coleslaw with French dressing, and the coffee has a strong Italian taste. The customers range from students to mothers with children. The shelves are filled with manga, newspapers, women's magazines, and sports magazines. Free Wi-Fi and a comfortable indoor temperature create a relaxing living room-like atmosphere. The cafe is open from 6 am to 10 pm, welcoming guests to stay as long as they like. The staff is friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both regulars and newcomers at this spacious cafe in Fushimi.

I visited this place twice about 2 years ago in June, but for some reason I never posted about it. Both times were for lunch. This place is one of the few rare smoking-permitted restaurants, so it's always full during lunchtime. This time, I happened to be nearby and suddenly had a craving for pork cutlet curry, which I had been eating at other nearby places. So I decided to give it a try here! I briefly checked the menu, but I already had my mind set on the pork cutlet curry. I briefly worried about what I would do if they didn't have it, but oh well, I'll figure it out when the time comes. And yes, they did have it after all! In this area, I think this place has the best pork cutlet curry. Looking at it again, the lunch menu is actually quite simple (laughs). Maybe it's because the plate looks a bit empty?

Holiday. I visited for lunch after 12 o'clock. There was a daily lunch set for 950 yen (including a drink), but we chose from the menu. My husband had the yakisoba croquette set (rice, salad, miso soup included) for 870 yen. I had the hamburger gratin for 900 yen. We both added the set drink (iced coffee) for an additional 200 yen. The gratin was quite rich with cheese, which I liked. We enjoyed the free refills of iced coffee and took our time to relax. The restaurant had a calm atmosphere with a few customers coming and going. Thank you for the meal. *The restaurant is located a bit off the main road, near the Saiseikai General Hospital. They have parking available. All seats are smoking allowed (even though it's in front of a hospital). Opening hours are from 6:00 to 22:00.

It's been a long time since I last visited this place - probably around 4.5 years ago. I remember this restaurant from when I was in high school, it used to be open 24 hours and I would often hang out here late at night. I wonder if it still operates 24 hours now? The atmosphere of the restaurant has always been inviting with high ceilings and large windows, making it a pleasant place to dine. The food is a bit on the pricey side, especially if you opt for the drink set which can push the bill over 1000 yen, so it may not be the best choice for a budget lunch. The coffee, however, was a bit disappointing, probably due to the all-you-can-drink option. I hope they can improve the quality of the coffee even if they raise the price a bit. I saw that they serve homemade pancakes on the menu, so I might come back for a coffee break next time. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place, but if you find yourself in the area and in need of a cafe, it's worth a visit. If you're looking for a good cup of coffee, you might want to try a cafe a bit further north on Route 1.

This is a major intersection on Route 1. It seems like there has been a cafe here for quite some time. It's a place you would drive to, as it may be hard to find if you don't live nearby or pass by in a car. The parking lot is decently sized. The interior has a garden by the roadside, and the back is not easily visible from inside the store. It seemed like a good place for private conversations, but it's oddly transparent from the outside. The menu is extensive, offering not just cafe items but also a variety of rice dishes. "With You" is located near the intersection where Otemasu and Ichigosen meet. It has a cafe-like atmosphere but serves coffee and meals as well. There is ample parking space for over 10 cars around the shop, making it convenient to visit. The prices seemed a bit high, with the daily lunch special priced at 750 yen. However, I was in the mood for omurice, so I decided to order the "Omurice Hamburg" for 1,000 yen. The interior of the shop has about 12 tables and one large table for 8 people, with a diverse mix of customers including students, office workers, and groups of female friends. The staff, mainly young women, seemed to be part-time workers. After about 10 minutes, a vegetable salad was served, followed by the main dish a few minutes later. The portion size was a bit lacking for the price. The omurice and hamburg were both served with the same demi-glace sauce. The omurice contained mushrooms and sliced sausage in a ketchup-based sauce, but the egg was not as fluffy as expected. The taste was average. The hamburg was slightly small, with a meaty flavor but nothing extraordinary. It was disappointing that soup was not included and the portion size could have been a bit larger. Overall, I would give it 3 stars out of 5 (65/100).

I had the morning set, but there were plenty of lunch options as well. The interior is spacious and you can relax. All seats are smoking.
