A friend recommended a restaurant called "Kuruma-ya" to me, so I decided to visit. The restaurant is conveniently located near a coin parking lot, making it easy to access. The lunch menu at this izakaya-style restaurant is often delicious, so I had high expectations as I entered the establishment. Inside, there are about six seats at the counter and four tables, creating an atmosphere that would be great for enjoying drinks and tasty food in the evening. I sat at the counter and ordered the "Kaki Fry Bento" for 780 yen, which was the recommended dish of the day. Looking at the menu, it seemed that most of the set meals at this restaurant are around the same price. After about 10 minutes, a bento box containing rice, side dishes, and miso soup was brought to me. I started with the miso soup, which had tofu, fried tofu, and wakame seaweed, and it was delicious. Next, I tried the four pieces of kaki fry, which were topped with a tonkatsu sauce-like sauce. It was decent, although it lacked a bit of juiciness. I wished there was tartar sauce, but considering it's an izakaya, it was understandable. The side dishes included pickled daikon radish and simmered bonito, along with tamagoyaki. The rice was cooked well and tasted decent. They also asked about the portion size in advance, so if you want a larger portion, they might serve you a bit more. Overall, the cost performance was decent. The restaurant has a strong izakaya atmosphere, so it's a place where you can leisurely enjoy drinks and food in the evening. Rating: 3.5 stars (70/100)
