TAVENGERS
The shop is about a 5-minute walk from Karasuma Station. The streets in Kyoto are easy to navigate, which is nice. The seating options include counter seats and table seats, and this time we chose the counter seats where you can see the meat in the showcase! Here's what we had: Beef Harami Sashimi, Upper Tongue Salt, Premium Harami, Premium Sagari, Misuji Steak, Liver Salt, Grilled Special Roast, and Yukke Handrolls. We were indecisive about the menu when the staff recommended the Harami sashimi as particularly good that day. We couldn't resist ordering it. The Harami sashimi that came out was undeniably beautiful and delicious! The texture was soft, and the strong umami and sweetness captivated our taste buds. I wanted to try the Beef Tongue Chateaubriand, but they didn't have it that day, so I ordered the Upper Tongue Salt instead. I still want to try the Chateaubriand next time I visit Kyoto. Personally, if there's both Harami and Sagari on the menu, I always order both! This shop not only serves quality meat but also uses Omi beef for offal dishes, which are also delicious! The Sagari is recommended to be eaten with wasabi and wash sauce. When we expressed our desire for a chunk of meat, they served us the Misuji steak! It was thick, around 100g-150g, and tasted surprisingly delicious, just like steak. The Liver was fresh and well-prepared, with no unpleasant smell. I wanted to try it raw, but they cooked it perfectly! The Grilled Special Roast included Matsusaka beef, as well as Kobe beef and Tajima beef. They showed us the meats, and we chose Matsusaka beef, which was the best-looking. The option to choose the meat based on its condition was a great touch! This time, we mainly had dishes seasoned with salt, but they also offered wasabi, miso sauce, and wash sauce. Despite being a brand beef, the menu was quite extensive, offering various ways to enjoy the meat without getting bored. To enjoy this quality Omi beef in Tokyo would cost much more, but here we had a variety of brand beef, drinks, and the total bill was less than 10,000 yen, which is quite reasonable. Thank you for the feast.
