About 5 minutes from Karasuma Station... I went to a restaurant recommended by my friend in Kyoto, called "Meat Soul - Omi Beef Yakiniku." They serve Omi beef, a premium brand of beef. The restaurant has counter and table seating, with a showcase of meat right in front of the counter, just like a sushi restaurant! When I placed my order, they brought out the sauces first. There was miso sauce (you can choose spicy miso) and arai sauce (a light sauce made from Omi beef broth, perfect for when you want to cut the richness). Surprisingly, I hardly used these sauces throughout the meal! I only used it once with the special Harami. The Harami sashimi, which was recommended, was really delicious. It had a great meaty texture and amazing flavor. I also tried the premium tongue with salt, the special Harami, and the special Sagari, as I couldn't decide and ended up ordering both. Both cuts had a strong umami flavor and were very tasty. The Misuji steak, recommended by the staff, was also incredibly tender and delicious. I also tried the liver with salt, which was surprisingly affordable and melted in my mouth. For the grilled meat, I chose the special roast "Ryu no Tamago" with miso soy sauce, made from Matsusaka beef. The marbling was excellent. Lastly, I had the Yukke hand roll, which was also very tasty. This restaurant was a big hit! I had three drinks and still spent less than 10,000 yen per person for all this amazing food. If this place was closer, I would definitely be a regular customer. The meat was so delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I went to a restaurant where you can enjoy rare cuts of Omi beef at a reasonable price! This time, I ordered the Omi beef tongue Chateaubriand, Omi beef yakiniku special 5 kinds assortment, Omi beef yakiniku suki, beef tongue yukhoe, hormone mix, and Omi beef stone-grilled bibimbap. The quality of the Omi beef is amazing. The rare cuts like Kaonomi and Sangobara Hiuchi included in the special assortment allow you to enjoy a variety of cuts. Every piece of meat melts in your mouth, especially the Sangobara Hiuchi, which is rich and lets you fully appreciate the deliciousness of Omi beef fat. You can also order the sauces separately, with a choice between miso sauce and "wash" sauce, a unique Kyoto-style sauce. Overall, the emphasis on fresh ingredients was evident. The yukhoe, hormone, and other dishes showed a strong commitment to quality. Everything I tried was delicious! The restaurant also offers a variety of side dishes, and the rice is particularly delicious. The interior is stylish, with Nishijin textile curtains adding to the ambiance. Just be cautious as there may be some flying ash due to the charcoal grilling. I believe this restaurant is suitable for various occasions such as birthdays, special events, business meetings, or travel. I highly recommend this place to truly savor Omi beef.

I had dinner at Niku no Ryuugi Nikukon in Kyoto. It is located just a 5-minute walk from Karasuma Station, making it easily accessible. The restaurant's charm lies in its traditional Kyoto townhouse setting and the fact that you can enjoy Omi beef at a reasonable price. The good value for money makes it easy to enjoy a meal here. - Chorogi Salad ¥900 First, I had the Chorogi Salad, which was served on a glass plate with plenty of fresh vegetables. It was a generous portion, and the abundance of Korean seaweed was a nice touch. - Uni and Caviar Premium Beef Tongue Yukhoe ¥2700 There were many yukhoe options to choose from, but I opted for the luxurious Uni and Caviar Premium Beef Tongue Yukhoe. The selected beef was tender and sweet, and the addition of uni and caviar made it even more delightful. - Premium Harami ¥2200 The Premium Harami is a rare cut of Omi beef that is hard to come by. It's a limited order item, and when you bite into it, the rich fat and umami spread throughout your mouth. - Today's Lean Meat ¥2000 As I like lean meat, I also ordered the Today's Lean Meat, which included fillet from Matsusaka beef and Marushin beef. The concentrated flavor of the meat was enhanced by the delicious yakiniku sauce made with bonito dashi and miso. - Premium Sagari Steak 100g ¥3300 I also tried the restaurant's specialty menu item, the Premium Sagari Steak. I chose the 150g option, and the thin slices of beautifully pink meat presented in a chunk were impressive. The meat was self-cooked but the finishing touches and plating were done by the staff, ensuring a worry-free experience. Despite being skirt steak, it was tender, juicy, and delicious. - Omi Beef Stone Bibimbap ¥1600 Finally, I had the Omi Beef Stone Bibimbap as a finishing touch. The dish consisted of rice topped with kimchi, namul, raw egg, and Omi beef. The combination of meat texture and richness added to the bibimbap's creamy and satisfying flavor, with the sweetness of the meat shining through.

Located a 5-minute walk from Karasuma Station, this charcoal-grilled meat restaurant offers only carefully selected female Omi beef. The approach to the eel's sleeping place, the facade reminiscent of a kimono shop, the Nishijin textile, the dignified shop name, and the boldly printed lanterns are eye-catching. The quaint interior, renovated from a machiya, consists of a counter and two tables, decorated with elegant decorations like a scene from a movie, with subtle Japanese touches and a refined aesthetic throughout the space. The tableware exudes luxury, with each dish of meat beautifully presented, truly photogenic. We enjoyed the following a la carte: a platter of three types of kimchi sourced from Osaka Tsuruhashi, with authentic kimchi flavors and a balance of richness and acidity. The special loin sirloin boasts a beautiful marbling that appeals to both the eyes and the taste buds. The tail hot pot soup is a stamina-packed soup simmered slowly with a palm-sized piece of beef tail. The bone-in tail is incredibly tender and melts gently in your mouth. The special beef harami yukhoe is a must-try for yukhoe lovers, with a sweet beef flavor. The special Omi beef yakiniku platter with five cuts includes rare cuts, and the Kobe beef, Matsusaka beef, and Omi beef comparison platter allows you to enjoy deluxe content with rare cuts such as Kobe beef subton, Matsusaka beef ichibo, and Omi beef sankaku. The garlic and green onion-wrapped tongue is a addictive dish with plenty of Aomori garlic and green onions. It's best enjoyed lightly seared on one side. Indulge in exquisite yukhoe, kalbi, lean beef, and the highly sought-after rare Omi beef harami, as well as the rare Omi beef tongue 1. The meat not only offers exceptional taste but also meets the demands of the times with its high-quality content. Grilling the meat over a shichirin charcoal grill releases the aroma of white charcoal and juicy meat juices, all at a reasonable price. The restaurant offers both counter and table seating to cater to different needs, with a lively jazz music and a cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a date night.

This restaurant specializes in Omi beef, and every cut is of high quality with a delicious meaty flavor and a subtle sweetness in the fat. Even without any seasoning, the meat is very delicious. However, the restaurant's original miso sauce and beef bone soup sauce also enhance the flavor. Some cuts are served with wasabi, making it a perfect match for drinking. It's rare to find a place where you can enjoy such high-quality meat cooked over charcoal. The kimchi, scallop and mushroom butter soup, and stone bibimbap were also delicious. The restaurant has both counter and table seats, making it easy to visit alone. Today, they also had Matsusaka beef, which was rich and flavorful. Thank you very much!

If a meat-loving woman wants to enjoy some meat in Kyoto, Omi beef yakiniku at Niku no Ryuugi Nikutama Meat Soul is the place to go. The quality of the Omi beef here is so good that you'll wonder if the prices are really that reasonable. The restaurant is located in a traditional Kyoto townhouse, with Nishijin weaving displayed, creating a perfect atmosphere of Japanese elegance. There are counter seats, table seats, and even a second floor with about 40 seats. Recently, many foreign groups have been visiting the restaurant as well. The carefully selected Wagyu beef here is truly delicious. The menu is exciting, with options like Wagyu harami yukke, Chorogi salad, and Hakusai kimchi. The meat is grilled on a shichirin charcoal grill, starting with the premium salted tongue. The highlight is the Wagyu tasting set, which allows you to compare Omi beef, Matsusaka beef, and Kobe beef. Each type of beef is tender and flavorful, making it a delightful experience. One of the unique features of this restaurant is the various ways you can enjoy the meat. They offer homemade soy sauce-based sauces and a Kyoto-style washing sauce made from Omi beef and tail soup, which allows you to savor the flavor of the meat in a light and refreshing way. Wasabi is a must, and the grilled vegetables like yam and shiitake mushrooms are also delicious. The Wakame soup served in a clay pot is so good that you'll want to have seconds. For dessert, there is a fruit and ice cream assortment, with chocolate and matcha ice cream that are particularly delicious. Overall, dining here costs around 7,500 yen per person, which is quite reasonable for such high-quality yakiniku in Kyoto. If you want to enjoy delicious yakiniku in Kyoto, I highly recommend this place. #Nikutama Meat Soul #Meat Soul #Niku no Ryuugi #Niku Kai #Omi beef #charcoal grill #yakiniku #Japanese black beef #Kyoto sightseeing #Kyoto gourmet #Kyoto dinner #Kyoto #Karasuma #Kyoto yakiniku #Kyoto townhouse #kimono #beef tongue #harami #steak #Chateaubriand #uniku #yukke #beef sashimi #wine #Kenzo Estate #birthday #anniversary #Instagram #kyoto #kyotojapan #kyototrip #kyototravel #kyotogram #kyotolunch #kyotofood #kyotosweets #gourmet #gourmetstagram #Instagram gourmet #gourmet

To prevent summer fatigue, I went to eat some meat. I chose from the menu: - Beef Harami Yukke (2,200 yen) - Mountain-sized Chorogi Salad (900 yen) - Chinese Cabbage Kimchi (600 yen) - Premium Salted Beef Tongue (2,000 yen) - Assorted 5 kinds of meat (4,800 yen) including Omi beef, Misuji, Matsusaka beef sirloin, Kamenoko, and Kobe beef shoulder loin - Yam (500 yen) - Shiitake mushrooms (700 yen) - Wakame seaweed soup (800 yen) - Dessert: Fruit and ice cream assortment The Yukke was soft and delicious. The salad was huge and filling. The kimchi was slightly spicy, so I ate it little by little with the meat. The salted tongue was tender, juicy, and tasty. The meat assortment was a great way to enjoy a variety of flavors. The shiitake mushrooms were big. The wakame soup comes in a hot pot. The meat was served with homemade miso soy sauce and a Kyoto-style dipping sauce made from Omi beef sinew and tail soup. It was satisfyingly filling and reasonably priced. It seems to be popular with foreign tourists as well.

The shop is about a 5-minute walk from Karasuma Station. The streets in Kyoto are easy to navigate, which is nice. The seating options include counter seats and table seats, and this time we chose the counter seats where you can see the meat in the showcase! Here's what we had: Beef Harami Sashimi, Upper Tongue Salt, Premium Harami, Premium Sagari, Misuji Steak, Liver Salt, Grilled Special Roast, and Yukke Handrolls. We were indecisive about the menu when the staff recommended the Harami sashimi as particularly good that day. We couldn't resist ordering it. The Harami sashimi that came out was undeniably beautiful and delicious! The texture was soft, and the strong umami and sweetness captivated our taste buds. I wanted to try the Beef Tongue Chateaubriand, but they didn't have it that day, so I ordered the Upper Tongue Salt instead. I still want to try the Chateaubriand next time I visit Kyoto. Personally, if there's both Harami and Sagari on the menu, I always order both! This shop not only serves quality meat but also uses Omi beef for offal dishes, which are also delicious! The Sagari is recommended to be eaten with wasabi and wash sauce. When we expressed our desire for a chunk of meat, they served us the Misuji steak! It was thick, around 100g-150g, and tasted surprisingly delicious, just like steak. The Liver was fresh and well-prepared, with no unpleasant smell. I wanted to try it raw, but they cooked it perfectly! The Grilled Special Roast included Matsusaka beef, as well as Kobe beef and Tajima beef. They showed us the meats, and we chose Matsusaka beef, which was the best-looking. The option to choose the meat based on its condition was a great touch! This time, we mainly had dishes seasoned with salt, but they also offered wasabi, miso sauce, and wash sauce. Despite being a brand beef, the menu was quite extensive, offering various ways to enjoy the meat without getting bored. To enjoy this quality Omi beef in Tokyo would cost much more, but here we had a variety of brand beef, drinks, and the total bill was less than 10,000 yen, which is quite reasonable. Thank you for the feast.

I ordered a course to compare the three major types of beef: Omi beef, Kobe beef, and Matsusaka beef. The marbling of the meat was sweet, and I enjoyed trying it in various ways. The course also included seafood dishes, such as large oysters, scallops, and shrimp, which were delicious when grilled. The beef, including the offal, was of course also delicious.

A truly delicious ultimate charcoal-grilled Omi beef at a reasonable price in a Kyoto machiya! The atmosphere is fantastic with colorful Nishijin weaving decorations! The showcase of meat and vegetables, as well as a wide variety of drinks, will definitely lift your spirits! It is truly a private space with a charming Japanese atmosphere. We received detailed explanations about the meat and special sauces to ensure we could enjoy them to the fullest! While there are appealing course meals available (reservation required), we opted for a la carte menu. [Limited Time Offer] - A comparison of selected grilled meats (featuring Omi beef, Matsusaka beef, and Kobe beef) - A selection of 5 types of grilled meat recommended by the meat artisan, with 2 slices each. Today's selection included Omi beef zabuton, Matsusaka beef triangle, and Kobe beef shoulder loin. The meat artisan will take care of the salt-grilled and sauce-grilled options, cooked over charcoal fire. The aroma of white charcoal and the juicy meat juices are irresistible! - The rare Omi beef tongue, a rare delicacy! Beef tongue chateaubriand - Chorogi salad, a generous portion of fresh vegetables with delicious dressing! - Thick-cut mushrooms, grilled slowly over a low flame! - Beef harami yukke, thickly sliced and melt-in-your-mouth yukke! - Omi beef stone bibimbap, a surprising dish with plenty of Omi beef! The richness of the beef is amazing!

I avoided Golden Week and visited Kyoto the following week. Surprisingly, it was not crowded at all. I made a reservation for two adults at a restaurant located in Kyoto, Nakagyo-ku, Nishinotoin-dori, Takoyakushi-agaru, Ikezu-cho 424-2 called "Omi Beef Yakiniku Niku no Ryuugi Nikutama Meat Soul". We were seated at the counter and were served with a shichirin charcoal grill after placing our order. We enjoyed rare cuts and hard-to-find Omi beef. Here is what we ordered: - Chorogi Salad ¥900 - Beef Harami Yukke ¥2200 - Beef Tongue Chateaubriand ¥2600 - Omi Beef Tongue Sagari (rare cut) ¥2200 - Assorted five cuts for comparison ¥4800 - Omi Beef Yakiniku Ryu no Tamago miso soy sauce ¥2000 - Tail hotpot soup ¥1600 - Stone-grilled Bibimbap ¥1600 - Draft beer ¥700 - Oolong tea. The way to enjoy Omi beef yakiniku is wonderful. - Homemade miso soy sauce dip - Kyoto-style washing dip. The sauce made by combining the broth from Omi beef suji and tail soup is used to wash off the fat and sauce to savor the umami of the meat. I prefer to taste the umami of the meat with wasabi or salt, rather than using sauce. The Omi Beef Tongue Chateaubriand was incredibly delicious. And the tail soup was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I was indecisive about what to order, so I decided to try the restaurant's recommendations. It's a delight to be able to enjoy Omi beef at a reasonable price. Access: About 5 minutes from Shijo Station on the Karasuma Subway Line, about 4 minutes on foot from Karasuma Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. The restaurant is marked by a large paper lantern.

I sat at a semi-private table with a view of Nishinoto-in. I had pre-ordered a course meal, which included many elaborate dishes. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I didn't find the food to be particularly delicious. However, the setting allows for a leisurely conversation without the food getting in the way.

Located about a 5-minute walk west from the business district of Karasuma, this restaurant has a slightly quiet atmosphere, perfect for an adult date. The stylish interior is Instagram-worthy. The availability of meat cuts varies depending on the day - unfortunately, they were out of Harami on the day I visited. There are several course options, but I opted for a la carte this time. The grilled Wagyu beef shabu-shabu, served with refreshing grated daikon radish, was so delicious that I wanted to come back for more. The drink selection is quite extensive, with around 15 types of whiskey not listed on the menu and about 30 types of wine with photos to help you choose the perfect pairing for your meat. The owner, a friendly man, engaged in conversation throughout the meal, making it a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.

In a calm and modern Japanese space, I enjoyed a charcoal-grilled meal featuring Omi beef. Instead of opting for the course menu, I decided to order a la carte. Here are the dishes I ordered: - Uni and Omi beef tongue yukhoe - Omi beef harami sashimi - Assorted kimchi (Napa cabbage, yam, komatsuna) - Omi beef top tongue salt - Assorted Omi beef premium yakiniku (sirloin, tongue kalbi, kalbi, rib finger, skirt) - Omi beef, Matsusaka beef, Kobe beef comparison kalbi - Omi beef premium sagari - Omi beef hormone mix - Omi beef stone bibimbap All the meats, from sirloin to hormone, were made from female Omi beef, with excellent freshness and quality. Among them, I particularly enjoyed the top tongue salt and harami sashimi! The tongue had a fine marbling, was moist and tender, with a rich flavor that made me smile with every bite. The yukhoe and sashimi tongue were also very fresh, making them delicious with just a light sear. The harami sashimi was a recommended dish from the restaurant, with a strong sweetness and umami, and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. It was enjoyable to try different flavors by eating it with salt, wasabi, and the chef's special yanninjan sauce. Some dishes allowed for a comparison with Kobe beef and Matsusaka beef, adding to the fun experience. There were two types of meat marinades: one was a homemade miso soy sauce with no additives or chemical seasonings, blended with several vegetables and fruits, and the other was a Kyoto-style washing sauce made from Omi beef tendon and tail soup. The miso soy sauce was sweet and savory, perfect for rice. The washing sauce was a unique sauce that I had never seen or heard of before, designed to wash away excess fat and sauce while enhancing the natural flavor of the meat. Mixing the yanninjan sauce with the miso soy sauce was also delicious. It was a celebratory dinner, and it turned out to be a wonderful time. The fresh fruit served after the meal was refreshing and delightful. It was a nice touch that made me very happy.

- Beef Harami Yukke (2,200 yen): A thick-cut, melt-in-your-mouth Yukke. - Beef Tongue Sashimi (2,000 yen): Made with Omi beef, this menu item is reasonably priced. Enjoy it with wasabi salt or soy sauce. - Upper Tongue Salt (2,000 yen): Made with tongue meat. Cut with the manager's insistence on thickness. - Beef Tongue Chateaubriand (2,600 yen): Visually stunning. Thick-cut tongue, polished to perfection, using only the core of the tongue. My favorite dish. - Special Sagari (2,200 yen): Highly recommended by the restaurant. Tender and flavorful, leaning towards lean meat for a light taste. - Assorted Kalbi (2,000 yen): Omi beef, Matsusaka beef, Kobe beef. - Tecchan (1,000 yen) - Liver Salt (900 yen): No unpleasant smell, sweet, and melts in your mouth. - Yan Ninjan Egg Over Rice (600 yen): Made with dragon eggs, so it's rich. Start with soy sauce, then add a spicy miso from the table for an extra kick. - Wakame Soup (800 yen): Served in a size for one person's hot pot, so it's best to share. - Zucchini (600 yen): My friend got hooked on zucchini and ate the whole thing by themselves. Seating options include counter seats where even solo diners can feel comfortable, terrace seats by the window for a relaxed atmosphere, and table seats where you can seat up to 24 people in a private room. There is also a popular tatami room for girls' gatherings or birthday parties.

【Meat Soul】Planning my own birthday trip! Heading back to Kyoto after 5 months, revisiting the delicious Meat Soul restaurant I tried last time. The traditional Kyoto townhouse interior with hinoki wood tables and kimono decorations feels very festive. It gives you that "I'm in Kyoto!" vibe. This time, I asked the staff for their recommendations and ordered various dishes a la carte. [Menu] - Kimchi Assortment (3 kinds) ¥900 - Chorogi Salad ¥900 - Liver with Salt ¥900 - Premium Roast Zabuton ¥2,800 - Premium Omi Beef Tongue with Salt ¥2,000 - Kobe, Omi, Matsuzaka Beef Kalbi Comparison ¥2,000 - Korean Seaweed ¥300 - Premium Milky Queen Rice (Large) ¥400 - Premium Skirt Steak ¥2,000 - Extra Large Grilled Shrimp with Salt ¥1,500 - Skirt Steak with Bone ¥1,800 - Beef Rib Meat with Salt ¥1,100 - Yangnyeomjang Rice with Egg ¥600 The kimchi here is my favorite! It's not too sour and has just the right amount of spiciness. The tongue has a fine texture with sweetness and umami. The fresh liver is light and refreshing. The premium skirt steak is exquisite with added salt. The bone-in skirt steak is beautifully marbled with rich umami. The Milky Queen rice from Omi is amazing, I couldn't resist ordering extra egg rice. The high-quality egg from Ryu adds a rich flavor. The shrimp is plump and delicious. Everything was so tasty and satisfying! Definitely recommend trying it out. Thank you for the meal!

Located about an 8-minute walk from Karasuma Station, this restaurant specializes in yakiniku, with a focus on Omi beef! They offer dishes such as beef tongue yukhoe (1700 yen), a trio of kimchi (900 yen), raw intestine (1100 yen), salted top tongue (2000 yen), salted beef tongue (1700 yen), premium harami (2200 yen), liver with salt (900 yen), heart (1000 yen), mushroom and scallop butter (1300 yen), and Omi beef stone bibimbap (1600 yen). The restaurant is known for its delicious Omi beef, which is among the best wagyu beef available. By 6 pm on weekends, the restaurant is already full! Highly recommended dishes include the salted top tongue and premium harami. The salted top tongue has a firm and bouncy texture that is irresistible to beef tongue lovers! The yukhoe has a slightly thawed feel, with a bright orange egg yolk that is rich in flavor. The premium harami, being a high-quality lean cut, is easy to eat without being too heavy. Dip the harami in sauce and dive into the rice for the ultimate eating experience. They also offer a variety of seafood dishes, such as the mushroom and scallop butter, which is served in a pot-like shape to warm you up and provide a comforting taste. Thank you for the delicious meal. Be sure to give it a try!
