This is the original Yoshinoya store where I have strong memories of enjoying their beef bowls with friends late at night. I have tried Yoshinoya beef bowls in various locations, but this store is the one that truly connects me with Yoshinoya. Whenever someone in our group mentioned being hungry while hanging out late at night, we would ride our bikes from Uzumasa to this place. We would buy 4 or 5 beef bowl sets and enjoy them together. It was a happy time filled with smiles. The taste I experienced back then may be hard to reach again, and we may not be able to go back to those times. However, eating the beef bowl from this store after a long time brings back memories. The ingredients in the beef bowl seem to be cooked with care. It's not just stewed, it's simmered. The difference in words is not just linguistic, but it comes from the true meaning of cooking. Because it's simmered, it feels rich. This beef bowl at Enmachi is the true Yoshinoya beef bowl for me. "Beef Bowl - Large Size" (569 yen) + "Miso Soup with Clams" (195 yen) - as shown in the photo. Last year, I must have had 20 or 30 servings of this Yoshinoya beef bowl. I will continue to enjoy it this year as well. While there is a trend that considers expensive items as gourmet, I will not indulge in unnecessary gourmet experiences that leave me satisfied after just one try, except in tourist areas. A true adult seeks gourmet experiences that can be enjoyed without any reservations. I believe it is important to show such behavior as an older person. Therefore, my policy remains the same this year to keep being a stubborn and disliked old man. (laughs) Happy New Year 2023 to everyone. Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the reviewers who have left warm comments, opinions, and messages last year. Thank you very much. I apologize for the fact that my reading pace tends to be once or twice a month or in bulk reading, due to the lack of time. I am still an amateur, but I will continue to do my best to share even a small amount of wisdom that comes from my own thoughts, rather than just regurgitating knowledge. Thank you for your continued support this year. Kyanatsushūkū (from my hometown, Kyōto Uzumasa, Kyo-no-Gojō) (Responsibility for the text: Kyanatsushūkū, January 2, 2023) (16 reviews/3.03)

At Yoshinoya, the morning set meal has been extended until 11 a.m. It's a good thing. This time, I chose the Ham and Egg Beef Side Dish Set Meal. It's in the 400 yen range, and being able to get free rice refills is just amazing. The ham and egg are cooked to perfection, and just that alone could fill up a bowl of rice. The beef side dish is also quite generous, and it goes well with the rice when sprinkled with shichimi spice. There's also miso soup, and while mixing in pickled ginger and shichimi, I quietly enjoy my breakfast. In the first place, the rice in Yoshinoya's set meals comes in a bowl, so it's very filling. And the rice, cooked slightly firm for gyudon, is tastier than anywhere else. Fast, delicious, and cheap - the three key points are still there. It's a grateful breakfast menu.

I had a bowl at Yoshinoya! I remember hearing that you can drink beer at Yoshinoya. Today, I had beer for the first time at Yoshinoya. I also had extra onions on the side. The miso soup was delicious too. Drinking at Yoshinoya is not bad at all.

Today's breakfast was a large serving of beef bowl! I pass by this shop every day! Today, I had the large beef bowl! Usually, I also order miso soup, but today I only had the large beef bowl! I added plenty of pickled ginger on top of the beef bowl! Sprinkled seven spice powder as well and was completely satisfied!

Eating lunch with my father for the first time in a while. The taste of Yoshinoya hasn't changed. My father used to come here often for takeout when he was in high school, as a punishment during late-night mahjong games. I was surprised to learn that this place has been around for so long. The beef bowl was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

The other day I had a terrible experience with morning curry at a nearby plow shop, so this time I decided to try here. I ordered the "Black Curry Rice with a little rice." At Yoshinoya, having a little rice is called "light." The curry that came out had plenty of sauce but less rice. I mixed it all together and it felt like I was eating the sauce extravagantly. The taste had a slightly sour note, and although I personally prefer the Premium Beef Curry from Nakao, the price is about double so it's not a simple comparison. I feel like adding Yoshinoya's beef to this curry would make it taste just right, but then the price of Nakao's curry would be closer and the cost performance would decrease. It's a dilemma... I don't need to go all out with morning curry. After all, Yoshinoya is a beef bowl restaurant! At a beef bowl restaurant, you should eat beef bowls, at an udon restaurant, you should eat udon, and at a set meal restaurant, you should eat set meals. It's like confirming the obvious. Next time at Yoshinoya, I'll try the morning beef bowl and order the "Beef Bowl Light."

I had a large serving of rice on my dish. The taste was consistent and satisfying as always. It would be nice if they accepted electronic money (Edy) as payment.

Located just a 1-2 minute walk from Enmachi Station, the second floor of Yoshigyu is perfect for a casual night of drinking. With some work stories to share with my colleagues but knowing that there's work again tomorrow, we decided to visit here for a drink. The light menu options such as edamame, octopus tempura, shishamo, and potato salad were perfect for a quick bite. The beef sushi and beef stew, true to Yoshigyu's reputation, did not disappoint. We enjoyed some beer and shochu highballs while venting about work for about an hour, and then we were able to leave quickly.

I had some free time and wandered around aimlessly until I got hungry, so I decided to eat here. The beef sukiyaki set is a classic that I often order, but I don't see many places that serve salt-flavored hot pot. I've been to Yoshinoya too many times and my memory is a bit fuzzy. This is probably a limited-time offering. I remember drinking beer at Yoshinoya when I was younger. It's not like the Yoshinoya drinking they have now. If I recall correctly, back then you could only have one beer per person. Sorry if my memory is off. Anyway, the salt-flavored hot pot was really good. It's a great way to get plenty of vegetables. Thank you for the meal.

Revisited ^^ After finishing the test, I went during lunchtime, so it was crowded~ Foreign staff members were energetic and wonderful! I feel like there's more sauce than when I visited five months ago! So, there's no rice left uneaten!! It's very convenient to use, the best! Revisited ^^ 2016.10.14 (Fri) Revisited, haha. I came not to seek the taste of Yoshinoya, but to seek free food (lol). I will keep going (lol). Every Friday, Softbank smartphone users can get a free regular beef bowl! How amazing is that! It's free! (The word "free" is sensitive to Kansai people, haha) When it's free, Yoshinoya starts to taste delicious~ The meat's origin is unknown, but it's decent to eat. I might visit 2 or 3 more times, haha.

At the intersection of Enmachi (Nishioji Marutamachi), on the southwest corner, there is a Yoshinoya. In fact, at this intersection, Yoshinoya, Nakau, and Sukiya, three major beef bowl chains, are clustered together. It feels like there is an invisible competition in the beef bowl industry. But personally, I still prefer Yoshinoya. Why, you ask? Because Yoshinoya's beef bowl broth has the lowest salt concentration. (When I'm in the mood for parent-child bowl, I go to Nakau.) It's been a while since I've been to Yoshinoya. It's been over a year, hasn't it? The young female part-time worker seems to be working hard as there are many customers. Looking at the menu, I see the "Vege Bowl" and "Tomato Beef Nabe Set" on the healthy route. After the price competition, is it now a new menu battle? The beef bowl industry is quite fierce. But a "Vege Bowl" with no meat at all... Is there really a demand for it? Well, since I came all this way, I thought about trying the "Vege Bowl"... but in the end, I couldn't resist the temptation of the beef bowl and ordered a large serving (extra sauce). I'll mix it with a raw egg and enjoy it. Mmm, it's been a while. The taste is as reliable as ever. Delicious. Yoshinoya is there when you're in trouble. Are there people who dislike Yoshinoya's beef bowl? I feel like having it once a year. It's strange.

This shop is located in a place called Marutamachi in Kyoto City. Specifically, it is at the intersection of Nishiooji Marutamachi. I have a personal memory of this place. When I was a junior high school student, I had a science teacher named Mr. Yoshida who was very popular among students, parents (especially mothers), and everyone else. He was a cool teacher who rode a cool American-style bike to work, and I really liked him. One day, Mr. Yoshida teased me about my famous lack of sense of direction by asking, "Do you know which direction Marutamachi is from this classroom?" Of course, I didn't know, so I stumbled over my words and he said, "Oh, I see! If I tell you the street name, will you know? It's Marutamachi Nishiooji." I still didn't know, but I didn't want to admit it, so I randomly pointed in a direction and surprisingly, it was correct! Since then, I started to like Marutamachi a little. However, when I was in high school, I tried the 1kg curry challenge at Cocoichi in Marutamachi, finished it, but then on my way home while riding a bike, I threw up inside my full-face helmet. That's when I started to dislike Marutamachi a little. On a distant summer day, my rice cooker suddenly broke, so I bought a beef bowl from Yoshinoya in Marutamachi. Why do electronic appliances suddenly break without any warning? And one after another at that. In the past, Japanese electronic appliances used to last a long time, but nowadays they seem to break down after just a few years. There are rumors that manufacturers intentionally make them that way, and I can't help but think it might be true. In times of trouble, I turn to chain restaurants. I always thought these kinds of restaurants were cheaper, but I followed the advice of a reviewer who said, "Yoshinoya is the best for beef bowls," and bought a beef bowl from Yoshinoya. It was delicious! It seemed to have more fat compared to other chains, which some people might not like, but I prefer it over dry beef bowls. It was tasty, Yoshinoya!

Overall rating: 3.0, Food/Taste: 3.4, Service: 3.0, Atmosphere: 3.0, Value for money: 3.0 (The rating and evaluation of the restaurant based on a visit in December 2013 was 3.01) While organizing photos, I came across some pictures of beef bowl. It's a photo of the "Atama no Oomori" beef bowl. At the end of last year, I suddenly felt like eating Yoshinoya's beef bowl, so I went to the Enmachi store and ordered the Atama no Oomori without knowing the menu. The beef bowl that came out was just as I imagined! The bowl was filled with meat without any gaps. The Atama (beef) large portion for 380 yen had a satisfying amount of beef, providing a hearty meal. If I can get the satisfaction of a regular beef bowl by adding 100 yen for the Atama no Oomori, it seems like it will become my go-to choice in the future. Reflecting on the satisfaction of the beef bowl... This time, I visited the Yoshinoya Enmachi store, which I remember opened about 35 years ago in 1979. When I looked up the price of a regular beef bowl at that time, it was 350 yen. However, I think that the regular beef bowl back then was not as sparse in meat as the current regular beef bowl, and the bowl was filled with meat. Remembering this, even the regular beef bowl back then was satisfying enough, just like the Atama no Oomori I had this time. From that perspective, if we consider the Atama no Oomori as the regular beef bowl of the past, it means that the price of the regular beef bowl increased by 30 yen in 35 years. (By the way, when I was a student and ate it with my pocket money, it was 370 yen in 1985, so from that time, it only increased by 10 yen!) This makes me feel satisfied with the increase, even considering the social situation, and it even shows the efforts of the company. When I think about it this way, the Atama no Oomori could be considered as the "regular" for me, and then the Tokumori would be the "large," right? But the Tokumori is a bit too heavy in terms of quantity and I can't eat it. In that case, what is the current regular...? Wasn't the current regular 280 yen? The price is cheap, but it feels like "meat sprinkled on top" rather than actually eating meat. From my perspective, the current regular beef bowl feels like "fake beef bowl, regular." However, since customers come seeking this every day, it's not good to underestimate it. Well, for me, the revival of the Yoshinoya-style beef bowl is something to be happy about! Maybe the Atama no Oomori is my regular from now on, allowing me to enjoy Yoshinoya moderately. Just a silly analysis and rambling... Please take it as a reference only. ===========

Today I went to the Yoshinoya restaurant in Marucho. This place has been around since I was in junior high school, so it's been about 35 years. Recently, there has been a price reduction trend, and the regular beef bowl is now 280 yen. But even without the price reduction, Yoshinoya fans like me wouldn't go to other beef bowl restaurants. My way of eating is to heap more ginger than meat, sprinkle plenty of shichimi pepper, and eat it all in one go! That's how you eat Yoshinoya beef bowl. Yoshinoya is the best. Thank you for the meal.

Excerpt from a gourmet note. Today, I was in a hurry so I went to Yoshinoya for a quick meal. I ordered the large serving of beef bowl at Yoshinoya Enmachi branch. It came with beef, onions, and spicy bean paste, sprinkled with white sesame seeds. The sauce was a bit sweet and I got a little tired of it towards the end. The beef wasn't the best quality, but for the price, it was decent. If you're looking for a quick and easy beef bowl, it's worth trying. Thank you for the meal.

At the Enmachi intersection, there is a powerful triangle of Nakau, Sukiya, and Yoshinoya, which are all student-friendly. This is one corner of that triangle. Rice or noodles? Today...rice it is! And not just any rice, but beef bowl! When I feel like that, I often come here. The first floor has a semi-circular counter, and although I've been here about 100 times, I've never actually been to the second floor haha. Among this triangle, personally, I think Yoshinoya is the most delicious. It's completely subjective, but that's how I feel. So, I think I will continue to visit here the most frequently. Thank you for the meal, I will visit again.

Yoshinoya is located along Marutamachi Street, not far from JR Sagano Line (San'in Main Line) Enmachi Station. I visited a while ago because I often use Enmachi Station. Just like other Yoshinoya restaurants, the taste and prices are the same here. The beef bowl is served quickly like at other stores, making it convenient when you don't have much time to eat slowly. I stopped by just before lunchtime, and it was quite crowded. It's located right near the station and on the way if you use the Nishioji Street bus stop, so it's a very convenient place to visit.

I am Director Shinichi Fujisaki of BODYPIT KYOTO. My girlfriend bought me a beef bowl as a souvenir. It was a large serving. Even though the restaurant is close by, receiving a beef bowl as a souvenir is a delightful surprise. I forgot to take a photo, but there was a service voucher included, so I took a picture of that instead. Thank you very much.

Due to the impact of the coronavirus, I am avoiding eating out these days. My girlfriend bought me a special beef bowl bento today. I can enjoy the taste of the restaurant at home. It's incredibly delicious. I am full and satisfied. I will definitely get takeout from this place again.
