I enjoyed delicious Japanese sake again. The food and sake were both delicious. The bottled beer here is not the usual PREMIUM, but regular Malt! I love it. It goes well with any dish! It's the best! You can also choose from 6 types of sake and do a tasting of 3 different kinds!

It's easy to enter alone, so I usually stop by when on business trips. The grilled chicken skewers are delicious with well-seasoned salt. I'm happy that they have chicken hearts too. Apart from the skewers, the crispy fried tofu topped with bonito flakes is also good. Enjoy it with a salt lemon sour and you'll get through the hot summer.

On the second day of my business trip to Kyoto, I went out for drinks near Kyoto Station with a former boss who is younger than me. We hadn't seen each other in about four years, so it was nice to catch up. The place was near Yodobashi Camera, so I had to look around to find it. I figured it wouldn't be inside Yodobashi Camera, so I searched in the side streets and eventually found it. I arrived a few minutes late due to getting lost, but my former boss was already there enjoying a beer. We left the food selection up to the staff and just ate whatever they brought out. The seared mackerel and smoked whale were delicious, and the chicken dishes, like the fried chicken and liver, were also tasty. The staff, mostly young female students, provided good service. Overall, I enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. It may not have a traditional Kyoto vibe, but it's a good place to drink without worrying too much about the Kyoto aesthetic. Plus, it's conveniently close to Kyoto Station. I recommend checking it out before catching the Shinkansen!

I went on a Saturday night. I didn't have a reservation, but since it was early, I was able to get in (although it was a 2-hour limit). The yakitori was very delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and the staff were friendly. However, it was a bit disappointing that the salad came out after the yakitori even though we ordered them at the same time.

I visited Tori-ya for a quick lunch after the consecutive holidays. It is conveniently located near Kyoto Station. I ordered the Chicken Nanban set meal, which was juicy and delicious. The portion size was satisfying, and I was impressed by the quality of the chicken. The location is great for a quick and hassle-free lunch, especially when the area around Kyoto Station is crowded. I recommend this place for a quick and tasty meal.

Before getting on the Shinkansen, I stopped by for a drink. The atmosphere inside is like a place for salarymen's drinking parties. This restaurant mainly serves chicken dishes. It's easy to drink and eat quickly here. The tataki has a satisfying texture. The yakitori is well-cooked, whether with salt or sauce, it has a light taste.

After enjoying delicious sushi in front of Kyoto Station, my junior colleague and I visited this place for a drink - Kijiya (590-2 Higashi Shio-koji-cho, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Yodobashi 1F). It's an open-air restaurant next to Kyoto Tower Building. People were enjoying their drinks outside, it looked so nice. You can also smoke while drinking, which my junior colleague liked. We sat at a table, ordered two lemon sours, and cheers! We ordered 5 assorted skewers and 2 shishito peppers. We had about 6-7 drinks each, had a great time chatting. The bill was around 6-7 thousand yen, my junior colleague treated me. It was a pleasant night drinking outside with a view of Kyoto Tower. I love this kind of atmosphere, I'd like to come back here again. Thank you for the meal!

Today, there was no recommended dish at the restaurant, which was disappointing. However, I highly recommend trying the sake tasting set! I have had it before, and each time the sake-loving manager selects a variety of sake for us to enjoy. This time, I had a really delicious sake! I ended up ordering an extra cup, but it was all gone (laughs). Still, I think it's a good thing it sold out because I would have kept drinking more if it was available!

This is a restaurant located next to the Ebisu bar on the first floor of Yodobashi Camera Kyoto store. It's not very noticeable because it's surrounded by flashy places, so I didn't notice it at first haha. It's sandwiched between the Ebisu bar and HUB, so it's a bit hard to find lol. They have good value for the money and the recommended dishes were delicious! I enjoyed a sake tasting and had some delicious sake too. I definitely want to use this place again next time.

Everything was delicious and the cost performance was good! The staff were cheerful and the atmosphere was nice. It took a little time for the tsukune to come out, but it was fluffy and delicious. The access from JR Kyoto Station is good, so it seems to be convenient to use.

I ordered the 4500 yen all-you-can-drink course. Tonight's appetizer, crispy cabbage with salt ponzu, assorted sashimi, chicken hot pot, potato & edamame, two types of delicious yakitori, tonight's special (fried chicken), and a finishing porridge. It's reasonably priced yet quite filling. The chicken hot pot is great with lots of vegetables and tasty soup.

Near Kyoto Station, there are many restaurants with a 2-hour time limit. I came here for the first time, thinking it was still early to go home after drinking. It was full, but we were seated after a short wait! My stomach was somewhat full, so I had pickles and other side dishes. It was delicious. A casual restaurant that you can easily use.

Kigiyaya, an izakaya located about a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station, offered a sake tasting where you could choose 3 out of 6 options. The staff helped us choose and recommended dishes were also ordered. We were very satisfied with our experience.

Located on the south side of Yodobashi Camera's first floor, just north of Kyoto Tower. The staff provided excellent service and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, smoking is not allowed inside the restaurant, but it is permitted outside. It's a good option for enjoying a drink on a hot day.

Located on the first floor of Yodobashi Camera in front of Kyoto Station, this izakaya offers six lunch set options during the day. Despite the lack of customers, they are willing to seat even solo diners at a table for four. I debated between the karaage set and the chicken nanban priced at 880 yen, and ultimately chose the latter. The dish arrived in about 10 minutes, with a generous portion of chicken piled high. However, upon closer inspection, I found that the karaage was mostly skin with very little meat - it seemed like they had rolled up the remaining skin after separating the meat for yakitori. The tartar sauce was on the sweet side and generously applied. The rice and miso soup came in small bowls, with predictably small portions. Overall, it was a disappointing lunch experience.

This is in Kyoto. Located right near JR Kyoto Station, on the first floor of Yodobashi Camera Kyoto Station. Due to the impact of the coronavirus, many shops were closed, so I was unsure where to have lunch. However, this place was open as usual. They had taken various measures such as ventilation, disinfection, and acrylic barriers. The staff seemed to be going through a lot, and I have great respect for them. For lunch, I ordered the Chicken Nanban. It arrived in about 6-7 minutes, but it was just fried chicken with tartar sauce on top. Sometimes you come across this type of Chicken Nanban, but personally, I prefer it to be marinated in sweet vinegar. If it was labeled as fried chicken with tartar sauce on the menu, I would have been more understanding. The fried chicken was freshly cooked and tasty. The tartar sauce seemed store-bought. The rice was not to my liking. Disappointing.

Had a meeting with a customer from Kyoto in the morning. In the afternoon, I have to go to Himeji at 2:00 PM. It's a busy day after a long time. I decided to quickly grab lunch at "Kichitoriya" near Kyoto Station. Since it's a yakitori restaurant, there were plenty of chicken dishes on the lunch menu. I thought about getting the "karaage set meal," but ended up choosing the "tori-nanban set meal." The "tori-nanban" had a homemade feel to it, giving off a homely atmosphere. The tartar sauce with finely chopped eggs and onions also felt homemade. Although I wished there was one more piece of tori-nanban in the set of four, you can freely ask for extra rice and miso soup, making it a satisfying meal. Since it's close to the station, I would like to visit for some casual drinks once the pandemic is over.

Located near Kyoto Station, on the first floor of Yodobashi. Visited on a holiday afternoon. Ordered a light drinking set, which included two small dishes, two skewers of yakitori, and a drink. The small dishes were potato salad and simmered sardines. The potato salad went well with beer, and the simmered sardines were delicious. This is a great restaurant. Ordered a tasting set of sake. You can choose the sake you want. The Yamahai from Tamagawa in Kyoto was delicious. Also, the Koto 1000 Years had a complex taste and aroma. The yakitori was juicy and tasty. And all of this at a reasonable price. The service was also good. It was a great restaurant.

When I first came to this restaurant, I met up with two former colleagues from the company I used to work for. We ordered a sashimi platter, homemade chicken wings, and tuna skewers among other dishes. The beer we ordered had too much foam and not enough actual beer. The sashimi platter was small and lacked freshness. The other dishes we ordered were average in taste. We kept ordering more beer, but it always had too much foam. The food wasn't bad, but it was overpriced for the portion size. One of us only had a few drinks, another only stayed for an hour and had a few dishes and soft drinks, yet we ended up paying over 5000 yen per person. The non-yakitori dishes were particularly expensive. I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant.

I entered the restaurant in Kyoto for lunch during a business trip at 12:40. This is my second time here, but it's my first time posting on Tabelog. This time, I ordered the Chicken Cutlet Stew Set (880 yen tax included). The taste was a bit strong. The amount of cutlet stew was sufficient, but because the seasoning was strong, the rice went well with it. I felt like I might need more rice. I enjoyed it in a normal way. Due to its location (a storefront in the building with Yodobashi Camera), many customers come in, especially tourists from overseas at this time. It seems that foreigners like terrace seats. It's rare to see a stylish store with terrace seats near the station, so it feels nice to eat under the sun on a clear day.
