I was thinking about what to have for lunch, and decided to go for something cold because it was hot outside. I went to a udon shop and saw they had a special type of udon with silk powder mixed in. I ordered the zaru udon. The noodles were thin but had a nice firm texture, maybe because of the silk powder.

This is a restaurant with a gentle dashi flavor. I ordered the meat udon, oyakodon, and Komachi set. The meat in the udon was tender and delicious. The oyakodon had a fluffy egg that I scooped up with a spoon. The gentle dashi flavor made me feel warm and cozy. The side dishes in the set were tasty, especially the potato salad which made me want more. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by for lunch at a udon restaurant near Miyazu Michi no Eki. The restaurant had both counter and table seating, making it easy for solo diners. I tried the recommended set menu which included Wakame Udon, mixed rice, hamburger steak, potato salad, and pudding - it was quite a filling meal. The Wakame Udon was delicious with smooth noodles and a good texture. The broth was very tasty and there was plenty of Wakame. The mixed rice had a nice flavor, and the hamburger steak and potato salad were also delicious side dishes. The pudding was a nice touch to finish off the meal. The staff were friendly and provided great service. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

The dashi was so delicious that I was moved, and I asked why they bothered to remove the head and guts of the sardines since there was no fishy smell at all. I was surprised to hear that they used freshly caught fish boiled as is, like kamaage shirasu. And the kombu was aged for 6 years from Rishiri. I was impressed by the surprising effort and dedication put into making it. Of course, the udon was also very delicious, with the perfect thickness for my liking. I would love to visit every morning if it was located near my house! It was so tasty! I will definitely stop by again!

I had udon noodles made by someone else. The high-quality meat and fluffy egg were delicious, but the hand-made udon noodles were also delicious with their smooth and chewy texture, and the broth was also tasty. It was a restaurant I would like to visit again.

Parent and child rice bowl for ¥680, with a side of small udon noodles for ¥200. Despite being an udon shop, they focus on serving parent and child rice bowls. The broth for the udon is light and not very flavorful, more like a clear soup. The noodles taste like they are frozen. The parent and child rice bowl has a soft and well-blended broth with the egg, similar to a soft-cooked omelette. The flavor is very mild and the rice portion is small. They also offer a "Komachi Set for ¥980", which seems to be more suitable for women due to the smaller portion size. The atmosphere is simple and lacks a sense of value. This Fukusuke-kun has been around for a long time and brings back nostalgic memories. It is located in front of the Miyazu Public Market.
