The portions are generous, and even one naan bread is enough to fill you up, but at lunch, you can have unlimited naan refills. When I raised my hand to call the server and said, "Half is enough," they brought me a second naan that had been freshly baked. I felt bad, but I ended up leaving half of it. The portion size is ample.

Don't underestimate the prefab-like appearance. The cheese naan is quite delicious. When divided into quarters, there may be uneven distribution of cheese, but if you take it to go, the flavor may diminish a bit, so try eating it fresh out of the oven in the restaurant. It's really tasty. Other dishes are also delicious. The Indian dressing on the salad is perfect in terms of flavor balance, richness, and texture. The samosas use a mix of vegetables for the filling, which is common in Indian restaurants. The restroom is located outside, so it may be a bit inconvenient to use.

The restroom is located outside the store in a small room that seems to be just for the toilet.

I started my personal walking journey from Yagi Station with the plan to end at Narikawa Station, but ended up stopping at Chiyogawa Station after walking 14 kilometers. My walks never seem to go as planned. I really need to learn from my mistakes. Despite saying that, I can't help but want to walk along risky paths while comparing aerial photographs next time. When I reached Chiyogawa, I needed to find a place to eat before heading back. I didn't have much energy left to search, so I ended up at Taj Mahal, where I ordered a set meal with naan and a glass of beer. The daily curry came with naan, soup, salad, and a crispy snack with the beer. The curry, made by an Indian chef, was delicious and full of flavor. However, with my focus on the beer, I couldn't finish the large naan. It was a great meal for a late lunch around 3 PM. The relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant had a tropical feel to it.

On a regular Wednesday at 1:00 PM, two groups of customers entered the restaurant. They ordered the "C Set 1050 tax included," which includes salad, chicken soup, chicken curry, daily curry, 1 piece of chicken tikka, naan, mini rice, and 1 drink. They chose a spiciness level of 4 (medium spicy) and a hot chai for the drink. I personally prefer a spiciness level of 4 (medium spicy).

I went for lunch on a regular day. The parking lot can fit about 5 cars on the left side of the shop. There is a step at the middle of the shop, so entry and exit are required from both sides. The shop is a prefab, but inside, there are 10 spacious tables. I ordered the Half Chinz Nan Lunch for 780 yen including tax. It comes with a vegetable salad, cup soup, and a drink. The Cheese Nan is surprisingly voluminous for a half serving, and it comes with white rice. The curry is delicious, although a bit on the smaller side. But, when eaten with the nan and rice, it feels sufficient. Thank you for the meal! (^O^)

This is a restaurant that I have been curious about for a while. The exterior is a square building that looks like an old-fashioned mobile phone shop or a convenience store. The interior is filled with Indian posters and decorations, creating a nice atmosphere. The prices are a bit high, with sets costing over 1,000 yen. I ordered the chicken curry and naan set, which came with salad, meat, and a soft drink. The naan and curry were decently tasty, but considering the price, it was a bit disappointing. However, since I ordered the mild version, it might have been more enjoyable if I had chosen normal or spicy. Lunchtime seems to be a better deal, so I might try going during lunch next time. Overall, it's not a place I would want to visit frequently.

The prefab shop was just as rumored (lol), with a parking lot conveniently located right next to it. Today, we came to Kameoka for the Nagoshi-no-harae ritual, so we decided to grab a bite to eat beforehand. When we entered the shop, we were the only ones there, just my husband and I... The menu was brought to us, but it was hard to read and confusing. Plus, the pictures on the menu were misleading, so we had a hard time deciding. In the end, we ordered two ladies' lunches. One of them we asked for with cheese naan (+200 yen). The ladies' lunch included salad, soup, two types of curry, naan, small rice, and a drink. We asked for the curry to be spicy, but it wasn't that hot. I wonder if there's a big difference between spicy and very spicy as the menu suggested? The curry was delicious, and the cheese naan was evenly filled with cheese, which was nice. If they made the menu a bit easier to understand, I think this place would become even more popular. On our way out, all the staff came out to see us off, which was surprising! If we have the chance to visit Kameoka again, we'll definitely stop by. Namaste!

There are two Indian restaurants in Kameoka, and this one, Taj Mahal Everest, caught my attention. It always seemed empty, despite being easier to park at compared to the other one. I finally decided to give it a try. The staff were all Indian, including a female server. The interior, although prefabricated, had about 8 table seats. The menu was extensive, with various levels of spiciness and set menus available, similar to the other restaurant. The prices were slightly higher here, and naan was an additional charge. We ordered curry and naan, opting for a slightly spicier level. While waiting, we were served a thin cheese dish as a complimentary appetizer, which was delicious. The curry was tasty and spicier than expected. But the highlight was definitely the naan – incredibly delicious and worth the extra cost. The staff were attentive and made us feel comfortable. As we left, we saw a well-dressed Indian man exuding a sense of confidence and stability, dispelling any concerns about the restaurant's lack of customers. I will definitely return when I crave their delicious naan.

I visited for lunch. Located along Route 9, it is on the left side when heading south from Sonobe. There is a parking lot, so it is convenient. I ordered the daily lunch special for 750 yen. It included the daily curry, naan, salad, and soup. First, I had the salad, and the dressing was delicious. Then, the curry, naan, and soup arrived promptly. Today's curry was pumpkin, with a strong ginger flavor that was very tasty! But the highlight was the naan - it was so delicious! At first, I thought it looked small and felt a bit disappointed, but after trying it, my impression changed. The texture was a perfect mix of crispy and chewy! The crispy part was like potato chips, but inside it was chewy, and when combined with the slight sweetness of the naan, it was incredibly delicious! This kind of naan is hard to find! Normally, the crispy part is quite thick and only on the edges, while the center of the naan is chewy. I couldn't resist and ended up ordering another naan! However, the additional naan cost 200 yen, which was more expensive compared to other Taj Mahal chain restaurants where it's usually 100-150 yen. But the taste of the naan made me want to order more. Out of the 20+ Indian and Nepalese curry restaurants I've tried, this naan was the best I've ever had!

This shop is located across from the Chiyo River pachinko parlor. The shop is built in a prefabricated style. I had been curious about this newly opened shop, and finally went there for lunch. Upon entering the shop, it felt like a different country with all the staff being from the original country. I ordered the A set for 850 yen, which came with naan, rice, salad, chicken curry, and a drink. The naan is kneaded and baked after you order, so it took a bit of time, but the freshly baked naan was delicious. You can choose the level of spiciness, and the rice portion was small but it complemented the meal well. With the drink included, I think it's a great value for the price. While eating, I noticed some people ordering naan to take away. It's great to be able to enjoy authentic cuisine at an affordable price.

A new Indian restaurant opened in the neighborhood, so my family, who loves naan, decided to go. They have lunch sets for around 800 yen during the day, but in the evening, there are no sets available. We ordered the Shish Kebab Masala Cheese Naan Set and the Tandoori Chicken with Indian-style fried rice, which cost around 1000 yen each. You can choose the level of spiciness for the curry, ranging from mild to very spicy, and we tried both medium and medium-hot. Even the medium-hot was quite spicy. Other than that, the naan was fluffy and delicious, and the Tandoori Chicken was flavorful with spices. We ordered a set for each of our children (elementary school age) as well, so towards the end, we couldn't finish everything and ended up taking the naan home. I slightly regretted not ordering the kids' set. Next time, I plan to observe and order more if needed. All the staff at the restaurant were locals but spoke Japanese. They even offered a complimentary lassi (yogurt drink) to the kids.
