New Fuku Restaurant, except for the main store, is located in a relatively good location in Fushimi. It is located on National Route 24 southbound, just before Bouhana. The nearest station is Kintetsu Fushimi Station. The city bus is right from the east side bus stop on Nishi Sumizome Street. New Fuku Restaurant started as a Kyoto ramen, expanded to Ramen Museum, and has now become a nationwide presence. It has collaborated with major brands such as 7-11 and Nissin, and is well-known. I had their Chuka Soba at the main store for the first time, which had a simple soy sauce ramen with black soup. I was used to the soy sauce flavor from Daiichi Asahi at Takabashi. Recently, I had a chance to eat a collaboration black fried rice at a convenience store, learned about the Fushimi store, and wanted to try it. New Fuku Restaurant is located in Hisaya, but it is quite a remote place, and I hesitated to go to the main store with long lines, so it took me a long time to end up at the Fushimi store. I looked at the menu at the Fushimi store. They have a variety of set meals, including Chuka Soba (regular) + Yaki Meshi (small) and Chuka Soba (small) + Yaki Meshi (regular). I chose the latter small set meal because I wanted to enjoy the black Yaki Meshi properly. The Chuka Soba reminded me of the taste from before. It's a simple soy sauce flavor, but not as intense as Toyama Black. Toyama Black has its roots in Hinomaru Bento side dishes and is intended to be eaten with white rice, so the seasoning is strong. New Fuku's Chuka Soba can be enjoyed with just the noodles. It doesn't make you too thirsty. The noodles are medium thick straight noodles and quite thick. Also, there is plenty of roasted pork. The Yaki Meshi is the original black Yaki Meshi, but it's more ordinary than it looks. Even if you close your eyes and eat it, it's still Yaki Meshi. It has the aroma of roasted pork and a hint of soy sauce soup. Surprisingly, the seasoning is modest, but it pairs perfectly with the black Chuka Soba. Both the noodles and the rice are well-seasoned. Now, the extra-large New Fuku Soba, I couldn't have both Yaki Meshi and the noodles in one go, so I tried it on another day. The noodles are supposed to be 1.5 servings, so I was confident that I could finish it. The actual dish is more luxurious than expected. It's topped with roasted pork, plenty of bean sprouts, lots of green onions, and a raw egg. With plenty of vegetables and a rich soy sauce soup, it's delicious. I eat the noodles. I mix it with the raw egg to enjoy a change in flavor. The noodles sink into the bottom of the jet-black soup. The noodles feel unusually thick. The bowl is small, so I thought it would be easy, but it's satisfying. I thought about adding some fried chicken later, but it wasn't necessary. I was very satisfied.
