The shop is open until late at night (3 am), with opening hours starting from 6 pm. It gets quite busy within the first hour, with both the counter and tables filling up quickly. The turnover of customers is frequent, so if you time it right, you can get a seat easily. The prices for dishes are not cheap, but the portions are generous and delicious, making it a good value for money. The drink selection is extensive, lined up neatly behind the counter. My favorite part is when the owner is willing to make something not on the menu if they have the ingredients, and it always turns out delicious. However, the downside is that you might end up staying until closing time, miss the last train, and have to pay a high taxi fare to get home. Laugh.

I found a delicious restaurant near Omiya Station on Tabelog. It was already 11:00 PM, but the place was full. I ordered Kimchi Fried Rice, Mapo Eggplant, and Domestic Beef Tataki Roll. The food came out really quickly, so it's better to consider the speed of ordering next time. It's a great restaurant and I want to come back again.

Joining the series of must-visit hidden gems, this restaurant is a definite must-try! Around 10 pm, wondering where to go next, I finally decided to visit a restaurant I've been wanting to try for a long time. It's located on the second floor of a slightly older building, and only those in the know would enter. The atmosphere is just like the name "Midnight Diner" suggests! The wooden tables perfectly match the cozy ambiance. The friendly and cheerful manager made the experience even better! As soon as we sat down, the appetizers arrived, and I was already thinking, "How am I supposed to finish all this?!" We were a group of six, and we ordered a sashimi platter from the menu. When it arrived, the presentation was so exciting that I couldn't contain my excitement! The fish was fresh and incredibly delicious! The sashimi platter was accompanied by a generous amount of seared sushi rice, and the nori seaweed condiment was so tasty, especially when eaten with firefly squid. The tuna roll was also impressive, with a side of pickled seaweed that complemented the dish perfectly. I couldn't resist ordering the deep-fried tofu skin cheese, which was as delicious as ever. The sake was flowing, and I was in high spirits! As the time for the last train approached, we sadly had to leave. However, there were still so many dishes on the menu that I want to try, so I definitely plan on returning soon. While it was great to enjoy the lively atmosphere with a large group for our second stop, I also look forward to a more intimate experience sitting at the counter and enjoying a drink in front of the chef.

The shop stays open until late at night when many others have closed, and it is a hidden gem with a variety of menu options. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. The food takes a while to be served, but it is delicious. However, I was surprised by the higher-than-expected bill at the end, especially since I didn't receive a receipt.

Visited on May 18, 2019 after watching the Hanshin Tigers game. Unfortunately, they lost. We didn't feel like going straight home, so my spouse and I decided to visit this restaurant. We didn't have a reservation, but luckily got seats at the counter. The elaborate appetizers were delicious and paired well with beer. One dish was a cold jelly with octopus eggs simmered in, very tasty and rich in flavor. We also enjoyed the boiled conger eel and amberjack sashimi, along with ankimo, edamame, fried seaweed, and a choice of yakisoba or curry rice for the main dish. The food here really brings out the flavors of the ingredients. The chef's personality adds to the pleasant atmosphere. It's rare to find a restaurant open until 3 am around Omiya, excluding chain stores. Regular customers seem to love this place. We slowly made our way home, enjoying the cozy ambiance and good conversation while feeling pleasantly tipsy.

We enjoyed a 4000 yen all-you-can-drink course with about 15 people. The Chilean white wine was rich and delicious, along with the draft beer. The food was also great, including soup, tuna sashimi, fried oysters, oden, mentaiko rolled omelette, yakisoba, and more. Highly recommended!

My friend and I headed to the restaurant around 2 a.m. The staff was cleaning up the sign outside, but it seemed like the closing time was not fixed. When we entered, the restaurant was bigger than we had imagined, with counter seats and table seats. There were about 10 regular customers sitting at the counter, so we sat at a large table that could accommodate 5 to 6 people. The menu was quite flexible, and they seemed willing to make anything. We were served a delicious appetizer first. Then we ordered oden, potato salad, pork belly yakisoba, fried oysters, and more. They had run out of pork belly, so we got chicken yakisoba instead, which was also delicious. The oden had tender chicken meat in it, which was amazing. The staff, all three of them, were lively, friendly, and didn't intrude unnecessarily, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The speed of service was just right. Overall, it was a great place with delicious food and drinks. It really reminded me of the late-night diner from a TV show. I definitely want to go back!

I stopped by here for a little more late-night snack at around 1 a.m. The dim atmosphere is really nice. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious, and the drinks are good too. They even have curry on the menu. There are also some students sitting at the counter, which adds to the cozy vibe. Overall, it's a relaxing place to be.

The "Mayonaka Shokudo no Chojugiga" restaurant is a great find in the Omiya area, where there are few late-night dining options. They are open from 6pm to 3am, making it convenient for those looking for a late meal. The dried daikon radish appetizer was delicious. The sashimi platter included chu-toro, kanpachi, fresh octopus, sweet shrimp, and soy sauce-marinated ikura, all of which were tasty. The soy sauce-marinated ikura was a particularly good accompaniment. Enjoying beer and highballs with kaki fry, kushikatsu, and the fluffy dashimaki tamago, which took a bit of time to arrive but was worth the wait, made for a satisfying meal. Overall, it's a convenient and enjoyable restaurant.

Located in a building near Shijo-Omiya Station, this restaurant gives off a strong and impressive vibe from the start! The manager's friendly personality stood out, and the place was bustling with customers returning for another drink after work or a night out. It made me realize once again how important customer service is. The highlight of the meal was the assorted sashimi, all fresh and delicious. The firefly squid was so good that I had to order it again. I will definitely be going back!

I went to "Torajugiga" on the second floor of Fujiiya in Shijo-Omiya because there were no restaurants open at 2 am. The atmosphere was lively and the owner/manager was very energetic. The food was delicious and they are willing to make anything you want. The portion sizes are decent, so it's best to order cautiously. Thank you as always.

It felt more like a midnight bar or a midnight izakaya than a midnight cafeteria. This day, it was our third stop around 2 am based on a friend's recommendation. We visited the midnight cafeteria called "Birds and Beasts Play" (Shinya Shokudo Toraju Giga). We ordered anago tempura, which was delicious, and also a tuna roll which was amazing. We had beer and sake, while my friend had a highball. After enjoying our meal, the total bill was 6000 yen with change. Thank you for the meal.
