haruoya
From the center of Fukuchiyama City, take Prefectural Route 8 towards Ayabe. Turn left at the Ishihara intersection. The shop is located on the left corner at the next traffic light. Parking is available around the shop and in the neighboring parking lot, with space for four cars in front. The shop has an Old American house style, with plenty of wood used in the interior. The layout seems to have been slightly changed, but the seating capacity remains the same. Recently, I have been trying modern spiced curries one after another. So, I wanted to try a different taste of curry this time and decided to visit this shop after a long time. There were no other customers when I arrived just before noon. I didn't want to sit in a corner, so I took a relaxed seat. I had already decided on the pork cutlet curry for the day. However, I was hoping for the grilled chicken thigh that I had before, but it was no longer on the menu. It seems that the menu has been narrowed down compared to before. I ordered the pork cutlet curry with extra spiciness. First, pickles were served, and then after waiting for about 10 minutes, the dish arrived. The curry was served on a large plate, looking like it didn't have much volume at first glance. The curry sauce had some thickness but was smooth. When you take a bite of the sauce and rice, the first thing you notice is the sweetness, followed by a gradually increasing spiciness. At first, it didn't seem very spicy, but the spiciness gradually intensified. It was delicious, and it had been a while since I last had it. The pork cutlet was not thick, about 5-6mm in thickness, tender enough to be cut with a spoon. The combination of fried food and curry was excellent! I couldn't stop eating. As I ate, I started to sweat. This level of spiciness was just right for me. I finished it in no time, and it was more than enough for me at the moment. I thought this shop's curry was unique, not like the curry in a cafe or European-style curry. They offer various toppings such as fried chicken, shrimp fry, red wine stewed pork belly, pork belly in broth, keema, and extra spicy options, so you can enjoy a variety of flavors. The shop was full before I knew it. It's a popular place. Next time, I might try the pork belly in broth curry with pork cutlet topping... I enjoyed the meal. Thank you.
