There was a bakery that had been featured on TV. There was space in front of the store where two compact cars could park. The interior was decorated with items that would interest train enthusiasts. The Kansai train bread was popular, and if you wanted a specific train bread, you could reserve it two days in advance. In addition to train bread, there was a wide variety of bread with a nostalgic and simple flavor. I bought curry udon bread, ham cutlet & egg sandwich, and almond cookies... They were delicious.

For train enthusiasts, this bread is amazing! It costs 253 yen including tax and the menu changes daily with limited quantities, so it's best to go in the morning. There is parking space for one small car. If you spend over 200 yen, you can play with the trains inside the store. It's about a 5-minute drive from Uji Station, so if you can make it to Uji in the morning, be sure to stop by for some bread.

"Bunbun Handmade Bread Shop" (located in Uji City, Kyoto) specializes in bread shaped like trains and buses, priced at 253 yen each. Although they have a repertoire of over 30 varieties, not all of them are available at once. Only a few types are displayed each day, so if you have a specific bread in mind, it's recommended to place an order at least two days in advance. One of their popular items is the 3000 Series Express Train Bread bound for Nara."

This is a shop that has been featured in magazines for its popular train-themed bread. They offer around 6-7 varieties of train bread priced in the 200 yen range. However, instead of train bread, I purchased an apple pie and rusk. The apple pie costs 137 yen and has a light pastry crust filled with custard and stewed apples, giving it an overall light and delicious taste. It's not overly sweet and quite tasty. The rusk costs 121 yen and has a slightly oily smell. The texture is crunchy, but I probably wouldn't buy it again. Also, I noticed that the wire used to hold the rusk in place looked quite old and worn out.

I was late and missed out on the bread I wanted from the train station. I ended up buying some bread, a Florentine pastry, rusk, and train station water. The rusk was too hard, but the bread was delicious. The Florentine pastry was different from what I had imagined. I want to make a reservation and go buy it next time.

I heard about a bread that is perfect for Instagram, so I went to check it out! The rumored bread is none other than train-shaped bread!! There were 6 different types available at the shop, and I bought the Keihan Electric Railway and Kintetsu Railway ones!! The base of the bread is made with pumpkin, and the train patterns are made with strawberries and chocolate, creating a fun texture with cookie dough! The bread itself is like a sandwich with cream or chocolate between two slices of bread, giving it a nostalgic taste like a snack bread from the past haha The taste is not super delicious, but the shop lady was very kind and had a nice atmosphere, making it a perfect place for Instagram-worthy photos and trending bread shop! ✨

Since I came all the way to Uji, I decided to buy some bread to take home. I looked at the map to find a bakery and found one that I hadn't been to before. The bakery had a big sign that said "Oh! A bakery." Inside, there were several kinds of train-themed bread, such as the Kyoto-bound train bread (filled with custard cream), curry bread, French toast bread, egg bread, ham and cheese bread, and carne bread. Although there were a few options available, they mentioned that they can make the train or bus-themed bread that you want if you make a reservation. It was a unique bakery with tasty bread!

I went to the bakery BUNBUN in Uji, where they are known for their handmade bread. I heard they have railway-themed bread, but it's only available after 10 am. Since it was not yet ready, I settled for the egg toast and egg sandwich, which were both delicious and comforting on a Saturday morning. The bakery is quite famous, being featured on TV and in magazines. I look forward to trying the railway bread next time! Thank you for the meal.

I went to the Maruyama bakery for their grand opening at 8 am. The entrance is now one step higher, which was disappointing. The store is small, with simple bread displayed on the shelves at affordable prices. The raisin bread is generously filled with raisins. The sandwich is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The cheese bread uses plenty of cheese, but the bread is light so you can enjoy it without feeling heavy. If you bring your own eco bag, they will give you a 1 yen discount.

I often stop by this bakery inside the supermarket on my way home from shopping. I especially like the Danish pastry topped with stewed apples and custard cream, but I also enjoy the cream puff with plenty of custard cream. The custard cream has a gentle, nostalgic flavor that I like. If you're looking for a snack, I recommend the "Mini Croissant" sold by weight (available in plain or chocolate flavors). Despite being small, they have a rich and delicious taste.
