I saw this restaurant being introduced on a TV show in Kansai before and wanted to visit. I made a reservation three days in advance as I had some business nearby and arrived at the restaurant around 7 pm, but it was almost full, so I think reservations are essential. I ordered five dishes, and each dish was delicious. The menu is also extensive, so I would like to visit again.

Before, I used to come to the restaurant late at night seeking dessert after a meal. I was seated at the counter and watched the delicious dishes being prepared. Since I was already full, I decided to visit this place as my first stop next time during my Kyoto trip. There are so many menu options to choose from. The horse meat tartare was delicious, but personally, I prefer the gentle flavor of the stuffed cabbage rolls. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Kyoto after a long time because I wanted to eat shiso pasta. I didn't make a reservation, but luckily there was a table available so we could sit without waiting. The dishes were all delicious and of high quality. However, the atmosphere of the restaurant was casual. The seating was tight, and considering the atmosphere, the menu seemed a bit expensive. It might be just right for women who don't drink much. We had anchovy broccoli potato salad, shiso pasta, beer, highball, red wine, and another highball, totaling to almost 10,000 yen for two people. It felt like it would be around 8,000 yen. It may not be suitable for regular use for those who drink a lot. Nevertheless, the shiso pasta was definitely delicious.

I finally got to visit a restaurant that I had been curious about! They mainly serve creative Italian dishes that are visually appealing and delicious. The photo shows croquettes, potato salad with shredded chashu, shiso pasta, Kyoto-style conger eel cutlet, and anchovy broccoli. The meal was delicious and perfect with wine!

I went to this popular restaurant because I wanted to eat carbonara, but unfortunately they were no longer serving it. The restaurant has both counter and table seating, and there is a TV so even solo diners can enjoy their meal without feeling lonely. I had the sea bream carpaccio, which was beautifully presented and delicious. The shiso pasta also looked tasty! The prices are a bit high. Thank you for the meal!

First Visit 202302 (No.4249) 1. Purpose of visit - Checked in at the hotel and selected this restaurant for dinner on the first day. 2. Shop information - Genre on Tabelog: Italian - Opened on January 8, 2021 - Chef Keisuke Hirose, who closed the popular Italian restaurant "sketch," and Chef Yohei Tahara, who trained in Italian and French cuisine, started this small restaurant - Featured in multiple magazines since last year - Business hours: 18:00-24:00 - Irregular holidays - 13 seats 3. Crowdedness and atmosphere on the day - Visited at around 18:05 on a weekday with 6 customers ahead and 3 customers behind - No luxury, more like an Italian izakaya? 4. Service - Standard service according to the manual 5. Ordered items - Draft beer: 660 yen - Yamazaki highball: 1,100 yen (served in a small glass, pricing is questionable) - Clam bourguignon butter sauté: 950 yen (a tasty appetizer with garlic and butter flavor that goes well with alcohol) - Potato salad: 950 yen (not your typical potato salad, presented with "pork chashu ragout," "seaweed," "potato croquette," "egg mayo," and "edible flower" in a unique way, creating a new sensation of "potato salad") - Shiso spaghetti: 2,200 yen (spaghetti with Thai, clams, and mushroom sauce topped with shredded shiso leaves, visually appealing and sure to delight Instagrammers) 6. Conclusion - This creative Italian restaurant seems to offer visually stunning dishes like the neighboring customer's carpaccio and gratin, making it a great choice for a unique dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

Today's Carpaccio served as a Bagna Fredda salad. The seared Sawara is delicious. The crepe with rabbit in a lasagna style. Addictive lamb. Each dish looks and tastes amazing. The portion size for each dish is quite large, so it's better to go with multiple people. It's clear why it's becoming popular.

I want to go to this restaurant again!! The shiso pasta was mind-blowing!! Every dish is colorful, fun, and delicious!! Access (Kyoto): 301m from Omiya Station. Business hours: 18:00-24:00. Closed irregularly. ---------------------------------------------------★A restaurant recommended by a follower. I was hoping for carbonara, but unfortunately they didn't have it...★However, every dish is colorful, breaks the fixed concept of food, delicious, and fun, so I was very satisfied.★The chef was working alone and it was amazing. Seems like many regular customers. (I definitely want to go back.)★I wonder if there's a place like this in Tokyo.★It's not just about being Instagrammable, it's really delicious! (This is important)★Since the number of seats seems limited, it's probably better to make a reservation.★When I go to Kyoto again, I'll definitely visit. ---------------------------------------------------#Kyoto #KyotoTravel #KyotoGourmet #BubbleGum #Spaghetti #Yum #Kyoto #Trip #Colorful #Instagrammable #Delicious #TheBest #Free-spiritedRegisteredDietitian

On the second night in Kyoto, I visited this restaurant after having dinner at "Kuchibashi Modern" and passing by the area near my hotel, "Hotel Pagong with M's", which seemed to have a nice atmosphere. The total bill was 5950 yen. My wife had a lemon sour which was rated as average, but she wished it had more lemon flavor. I had a Kirin black beer which had a clean and delicious foam. We also ordered a glass of white wine (Bogle Vineyards Chardonnay 2020/USA) for 1100 yen, which was described as rich and paired well with the Penne Gorgonzola. The food we ordered included a pate de campagne which was thick and flavorful, a delicious and heavy baguette, and a Penne Gorgonzola with rich Gorgonzola cheese that paired well with the white wine. Overall, the food was of high quality, but the pricing of the glass of wine and pasta felt a bit expensive compared to a previous experience at another restaurant.

Introduced by a friend to this place. It has a stylish vibe! We visited a few places before, so we only had a light meal here. When we arrived, I was a bit tipsy, so I apologize for that. The recommended dishes were great, with a good balance of flavors! If this place was near my house, I would definitely become a regular customer. It was a wonderful time. Thank you very much.

I finally got to visit this restaurant that I've been wanting to go to for a while. It took three phone calls to make a reservation, but it was worth it. They didn't have a wide variety of alcohol, but the dishes were all creative and delicious. The famous perilla soup looked like a flower garden and was quite filling. This is a popular place, so make sure to make a reservation in advance! ✨

Limited to 10 servings per day, the classic pork ramen costs 1200 yen. I saw a video of this place the day before and thought it looked delicious, so I decided to come here. Even though I heard it was popular, it was fully booked for March due to the recent appearance of carbonara on TV. The ramen until the 13th is not available for reservation, so it might be possible to go right at opening. The noodles were thick, topped with seaweed, green onions, and tender chashu, with plenty of lard in the soup. The appearance looked promising, and the taste... the soup was surprisingly delicious! The sweetness and umami flavor stood out. It was not at all classic as the name suggests. The real surprise was the tender chashu. Most old Kyoto shops usually have a strong smell (which you get used to), but this one had no smell, only deliciousness! It was amazing. Despite the generous amount of lard, it was not overpowering, so I finished the soup without leaving any. I regretted having cup ramen the day before coming here. If they can make something this delicious in a different genre, I can only expect great things from their evening menu. I've been eyeing the spaghetti with a mountain of shiso on top, limited to 10 servings, and although the bar is set high, it's definitely worth a visit. Absolutely fantastic.

This is my first time visiting this restaurant. I have been curious about it for a while and finally got the chance to go. The restaurant doesn't look like an Italian place at first glance, but it serves Italian-inspired creative dishes. The motto seems to be "if it tastes good, it's right," so let's give it a try. First, I tried the potato salad. It was presented in a tower form with layers of minced meat, potato salad, and egg. Despite its unusual appearance, it tasted authentic and went well with beer or highball. It was fun to mix and eat. Next, I had the lamb mapo tofu, which had a rich flavor without being too spicy. The beef ragu pasta was generously topped with tender beef, and it was so delicious that even my friend, who is picky about food, couldn't resist eating most of it. Overall, every dish was carefully prepared with quality ingredients and attention to detail. This restaurant, a branch of the famous Carbornara restaurant in Shijo-Karasuma, is truly a gem. It was a delightful dining experience.

A high-end restaurant located between Shijo-Omiya and Karasuma. The signboard and curtain did not seem to have the name of the restaurant. But the curtain was very pop and had a bubblegum vibe. The restaurant was fully booked. Good thing we made a reservation. Potato salad. Cheese and shine muscat grape and fig salad with prosciutto. Drool duck. Black pepper peperoncino. Pudding. Everything was incredibly delicious. And the appearance was totally different from what I expected. Of course, in a good way. There was also a surprise element that made it visually enjoyable. With this lineup, I felt like having wine. I heard that once you can drink alcohol, you can enjoy Italian wine, lemon sour, highball, anything. I want to drink. Also, personally, I like the type where the surface of the toilet water is covered with foam, so that was nice too. I want to go back slowly when I can drink alcohol again.

Opened in January on Shijo Horikawa, this open and vibrant restaurant features flashy bubblegum-patterned curtains and fully open glass doors. With no sign outside, you might wonder what kind of place it is, but inside, you can enjoy a variety of dishes ranging from French and Italian classics to local specialties and creative creations. The restaurant is run by Hirose, who honed his skills at renowned Italian restaurants in Kyoto and gained immense popularity with the sudden closure of the highly popular restaurant "sketch." You can try the explosively popular "Black Pepper Carbonara" (2000 yen), served in a ramen bowl-like dish for a limited time. The dish is visually reminiscent of a black pepper soup pasta, with a creamy yet light sauce and a generous amount of black pepper in each bite. It goes beyond the traditional concept of carbonara. I'll definitely go back when I have the time. Also, I recommend Hirose's other restaurant "Rakuikkaikai" in Karasuma.

In the past, there was a restaurant called Sketch that served carbonara. I thought I wouldn't be able to eat it anymore due to its sudden closure. However, I knew that the owner was running another restaurant, so I kept checking. I was surprised to find out that during the state of emergency, you could eat carbonara at a restaurant called Bubble Gum by making a reservation. I also ordered potato salad and pudding. As you can see, it's like art. When you peek into the kitchen from the counter, you can see that they pay attention to every petal when plating. The way they serve the potato salad is like entertainment. It was a fun lunch.

The popular carbonara restaurant suddenly closed, and the next restaurant did not serve carbonara either. However, I heard that you can only eat the legendary carbonara during the state of emergency. I managed to get a seat before the end of May, as all slots were fully booked. Inside the colorful curtain, there was a small restaurant with a chef who seemed cheerful and passionate about cooking. He was wearing something like a white coat, resembling a researcher in a lab. I ordered the carbonara with lots of black pepper for 2200 yen. The chef generously sprinkled black pepper on top, making it almost impossible to see the noodles. I grabbed a forkful and it was amazing! The creamy cheese combined with the bold spice of black pepper created a simple yet daring flavor. It was a satisfying portion, almost too much for one person. The neighboring table ordered carpaccio and sautéed white asparagus, which looked both hearty and stylish. The restaurant's COVID-19 prevention measures were minimal, so I definitely want to visit this place again for a well-deserved dinner once the pandemic is over.

Good evening. This is lily_c. There was something I really wanted to eat in Kyoto - shiso pasta! I've never seen so much shiso before. It's new, there's so much of it, it looks great, and I want to eat it again.

Since it's a small shop, reservations are essential. There are 5 counter seats and 2 tables. The presentation of all dishes is incredibly fun. There is a lot of interaction with the staff, who will ask about how you like to eat your food. The taste is outstanding, so be sure to give it a try.
