Not "Ichihakuseisei" but "Ichihakusui"! Just changing one character, it's not just a "star", it feels like something is being accomplished~ (wait, that's not it!?) Starting with replenishing protein with natto. You might think it's yakitori because of the name "Torinobu", but actually, there are various other menu items, and that's the charm of this restaurant. And the classic rock oysters. They were delicious. When I asked for a suitable sake, they brought out "Musou". It was also very delicious. Even better when eaten with oysters! Very delicious roast beef! The tsukune is enough for four people on one plate. It might be better because you can eat a variety of other dishes. What was this? It seemed like vegetables, but it was crunchy and delicious. Even though it's an izakaya, Neapolitan pasta?! It's delicious, this one. Actually, garlic fried rice is also delicious. Of course, yakisoba too. It was a time where I could enjoy deliciously after a long time. Thank you for the meal.

The last time I went was before Corona, and it had been a while since I visited here. The restaurant, as the name suggests, offers a wide variety of dishes and everything is delicious. There are so many dishes I want to try, from the main course to dessert, but it's hard to decide. It's truly an ideal izakaya. The winners this time were the kinkan (kumquat) and liver sashimi!

I visited Nishi-Nippori for the first time. I was taken to a good restaurant here. Thank you very much. The sake was delicious, and the food was delicious. I thought I might start with edamame and finish with rice, but there was no time for such leisurely thoughts. Everything was so delicious that before I knew it, I was stuffed. Located between Nishi-Nippori Station and Nippori Station. Today, due to the influence of the typhoon, the rain was heavy, but the restaurant was full. I ordered liver, gizzard, cartilage, and tsukune. The liver is delicious no matter when you eat it! I want to eat it again. I also ordered simmered chicken innards, which was also delicious.

While searching for a place to drink from Nippori to Nishi-Nippori, I stumbled upon a cozy yakitori restaurant along the Joban Line tracks. I debated between a bottle of Super Dry or Asahi, but ultimately went with the classic Asahi for the first drink. The appetizers, including nanbanzuke, fresh oysters, and chicken tataki, were all delicious and perfectly seasoned to my liking. The bottle of Kuro Kirishima shochu I ordered afterwards was also finished in no time. I definitely want to come back to this place at least once a week.

Located between Nishi-Nippori and Nippori, this restaurant was bustling when I visited after 6pm. The first floor was fully occupied, so I was guided to the second floor tatami seating area. I was surprised to see there was a second floor seating as well. I started with a glass of draft beer and toasted. As the name suggests, there were plenty of chicken dishes on the menu. In addition to meat and fish, there was also a wide variety of pasta dishes! It's rare to find a place like this with such a variety of pasta. Everything I ate was delicious. I would love to visit this restaurant again if I have the chance.

On Saturday at 5:00 pm, we made a reservation to enter a popular restaurant where you can't get in without a reservation. We sat at the counter and this day was our wedding anniversary. Since our registration and wedding ceremony dates are six months apart, we celebrate twice a year. On this special occasion, our eldest son joined us. The three of us ordered extravagantly - we started with bruschetta as an appetizer, followed by black shochu on the rocks. We indulged in dishes like chicken thigh sashimi, mixed sashimi platter, fresh vegetable salad, and assorted sashimi platter. We also enjoyed a couple of bottles of black shochu and various types of sake. As we continued to order yakitori skewers and natto soy milk gratin, my mind started to get fuzzy and I couldn't even take photos anymore. We finished with ochazuke, and the bill was settled by card payment. Despite consuming a lot, the total amount was surprisingly reasonable. We definitely need to visit again for bottle maintenance!

On Saturday at 5:00 PM, I arrived at the restaurant 1 minute before opening, as I always keep my promise to arrive on time. I had made a reservation for 2 people, and we were seated at a table. The restaurant quickly filled up with other reserved guests, showcasing its continued popularity. We were served appetizers of simmered tripe, firefly squid sashimi, and grilled chicken breast, among other delicious dishes. The chicken breast sashimi and grilled chicken were particularly outstanding. The simmered tripe used beef intestines, which added a rich flavor. The firefly squid glistened, as if welcoming the arrival of spring. As someone from a region where chicken sashimi is common, I paired it with sweet potato shochu. After a bottle of beer, I enjoyed a glass of Fukuoka's Kin-Kuro sweet potato shochu on the rocks, followed by a chaser of Nihonshu Shichiken. Eventually, I couldn't resist ordering a bottle of Kuro Kirishima sweet potato shochu from my hometown to pair with the chicken sashimi. I prefer my sweet potato shochu on the rocks. Although I almost finished the bottle, I decided to save some for another visit, giving me a reason to return. Afterward, my hippocampus seemed to abandon its duties, leaving me unable to recall how I paid the bill with my card, purchased rice cakes at the nearest station, or even how I made my way back home.

A straightforward izakaya with delicious food. The restaurant is narrow with two floors, and even before 6:00 PM, the first floor was already full. The menu has a wide variety of dishes like yakitori and sashimi. The photo shows a platter of three types of chicken tataki, which was delicious. I have always wanted to visit this restaurant that I have heard about. It is located along the railway tracks, a short walk from Nishi-Nippori to Nippori station. The exterior gives off a local izakaya vibe, making it seem intimidating for outsiders, but once inside, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. The menu is extensive and I had a hard time deciding what to order, so I ended up trying a variety of dishes including sashimi, meat, fried foods, and grilled items. The horse mackerel sashimi was fresh and delicious, while the grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful. The crab cream croquette and miso-marinated cod were also tasty with gentle seasonings. Everything I tried was delicious. The highlight was the three types of chicken sashimi, each offering a different taste and texture. The seasoning was a bit salty, but all the dishes were very tasty. The saltiness paired well with beer. They also had a good selection of rice dishes, which I would like to try next time.

When it comes to Nishi-Nippori, the reliable classic restaurant Torinobu is a must-visit! Since the Health Promotion Law, the cigarette smell has disappeared, making it even more enjoyable to savor the delicious dishes and Japanese sake. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the yakitori they serve, making this restaurant a gem in this day and age. The lineup of Japanese sake is also excellent, offering popular brands at fair prices. The service is friendly and welcoming, allowing you to experience the charm of a traditional downtown restaurant. The only thing I have been thinking about is that the yakitori tends to be on the salty side. It seems to be the preference of the restaurant to season the skewers generously with salt. Compared to other popular places, I find the saltiness a bit too strong. I wish I could ask for less salt, but it's hard to do so, so I just bear with it (laughs). Other than that, everything is perfect. It's my favorite spot! Recommended dishes include the Tori Tataki assortment, Hoya sashimi, and skewers of liver and rare cuts.

As everyone has mentioned, everything you eat here is delicious and the menu is extensive. The chicken sashimi and yakitori are delicious. The katsu sandwich is also tasty. For something a little different, try the squid ink pasta. The deep-fried nameko mushrooms are also good. A standout dish is the corned beef in a bread basket. Sake goes down smoothly with everything. I want to try everything on the menu. It was truly delicious.

Thinking about the participants, the middle of Nishi-Nippori and Nippori, where the Keihin-Tohoku Line, Yamanote Line, Joban Line, Chiyoda Line, Keisei Line, and Toden Arakawa Line are all possible, we chose the izakaya "Torinobu". The restaurant's name has "tori" (bird) in it, so of course, the chicken is delicious, but the menu is also rich in fresh fish and everything was delicious that I forgot what I ordered (laughs). The photos show that we are in quite a good mood, ordering a lot of food and alcohol. We had chicken sashimi, smoked herring, century egg and avocado salad, assorted sashimi, grilled dishes, and skewers with cartilage. There was something grilled with green onions. "I made a reservation, but it was fully booked! After being turned away a few times, I finally managed to get a table! It was past 9 PM on a weekday. I called ahead and they said they could accommodate us. I took a taxi from Ueno to get there. The restaurant was almost full, with many regular customers. I ordered a rock glass of Imo shochu from Namikura. My companion had a green tea highball. My companion's injury seems to be gradually improving, and recently they have been able to enjoy alcohol together. The dishes we ordered were: - Assorted chicken sashimi - Fresh oysters from Hokkaido and Konbu Mori - Octopus and radish in vinegar - Grilled Yagen cartilage - Grilled sand liver - Grilled chicken tenderloin - Grilled shishito peppers - Grilled shiitake mushrooms The appetizer was warm and delicious. The assorted chicken sashimi included seared liver, breast meat, and thigh meat. They even gave us some shirako (milt) as a bonus. The radish had a great texture. Thank you for the meal!"
