The transportation is not very convenient as the golf course is located in the mountains, but the layout of the course was enjoyable and thought-provoking. It turned out to be a fun golf course even though I didn't have high expectations. The staff were friendly and left a good impression. As for the food, it was tasty with a good variety available.

I ordered the tonkatsu set for lunch during golf. The tonkatsu was tender, filling, and had a good amount of fat, which made it delicious. The rice and miso soup were also tasty. Despite the heavy rain during golf, the tonkatsu gave me energy and motivation. I can keep going strong in the afternoon.

Golf course in Uji, the home of Uji tea, located in Ujitawara Town near the border with Shiga Prefecture. The clubhouse has been renovated and looks beautiful. The morning temperature was around 3-5 degrees, but it didn't feel too cold due to the lack of wind. The greens were frozen and hard, but strangely my approach shots and putting were good! After golf, I wanted to eat something warm, so I tried the "Tawara Lunch" which included fried horse mackerel, crab cream croquette, hamburger, boiled egg, salad, rice, miso soup, and pickles. The food seemed to be pre-made as the fried items were not hot and the hamburger was lukewarm. The fried coating was too uniform, giving it a factory-made feel. The portion was generous, but overall, it was a bit disappointing. In the afternoon, it started snowing lightly.

It was so cold! I ordered curry udon because I heard that spicy food is good in winter for staying warm. I asked for a dish that wouldn't affect my performance in the second half, and it was satisfying. I thought it was udon, but it was actually curry soba. The curry sauce coated the noodles nicely, and it was delicious. The lunch at the golf course was just as good as a high-end restaurant.

On December 1st, with snow flurries in the air, the weather was exceptionally clear. With such great weather, I almost forgot about my score and just enjoyed the day. For lunch, I had the aged pork cutlet for 1450 yen, which had a note saying "please allow some time" due to being full. Surprisingly, it came out quickly and the service from the staff was excellent. It seemed like the only issue was my score, as I enjoy eating as a hobby and golf is just a bonus.

I visited Uji Tahara Country Club again this month, this time for a work competition. This was my fourth time playing golf in my life. The morning was tough with poor results, and I was running around feeling hungry. Last time, I ordered tonkatsu and it took quite a while to be served, so this time I chose katsu curry instead (ΦωΦ). (The menu states that tonkatsu takes time, but not katsu curry.) The katsu curry came with the curry sauce on the side for you to pour yourself. The katsu was big and tender, and the rice was delicious. I'm glad I learned how to eat quickly since I'm always short on time.

I played golf at Uji Tahara Country Club. It was my third time playing golf in my life. It took longer than I expected, and I ended up starting without breakfast. Since I'm not very good at golf, by the last three holes in the morning, I was only thinking about lunch. I was interested in the Tahara set meal with the golf course's name, which included hamburgers, fried shrimp, and conger eel, but I decided to go with the aged pork cutlet set meal. I didn't notice the menu saying "it may take some time." The Tahara set meal with curry and fried foods came out quickly, but the pork cutlet set meal took a long time. However, the wait was worth it because the pork cutlet was really delicious! The meat was tender and tasty, and the cabbage dressing was also very good. I knew I would get sleepy if I ate too much, but I managed to finish the meal, leaving just a little rice. As expected, I got sleepy in the afternoon and my stomach felt a bit uncomfortable from eating too much. But unexpectedly, I got a hole-in-one on the third hole in the afternoon. Perhaps it was thanks to the pork cutlet!

Ujita Hara Country Club is not too far in distance, but the greens are extremely challenging. They are fast and have a lot of undulations, making it common to three-putt or even four-putt. To prepare for this, it's best to have Kitsune Udon (udon noodles with fried tofu) before starting. Despite charging up with yakisoba (fried noodles) topped with a fried egg for lunch, it seems it wasn't enough...

On a cold day of golf️♀️, the green was frozen solid in the morning. It was bouncy, but it warmed up in the afternoon and became easier to play on. As expected, I chose something warm to drink because of the cold. With a barley drink, I warmed up from the inside. I will definitely go play again~

The Green Spicy Chicken Nanban is difficult to eat, but the hard Tartar sauce is delicious.

The golf course I visited this time was Uji Tahara Country Club in Ujitawara-cho, Kyoto. It's a place that is close yet far away. First, there was traffic jam on Yamashiro Ohashi bridge, and it took me 1 hour and 10 minutes to reach the intersection in Ujitawara, even though I left 10 minutes early before the start time. Well, since I didn't use the highway, it can't be helped, but I vowed to leave 2 hours early from now on. The clubhouse seemed quite old, giving off a strong Showa era vibe. For lunch, they had limited menu options, so I ordered the fried chicken set. It was served with ponzu sauce, but the chicken was oddly too soft and made me feel uncomfortable. The rice was also mushy, which was not great. The course itself was not bad, but I hope they can improve the food. The price was 8,500 yen for 1 round of golf with lunch included.
