Uji at the southern part of Kyoto is a famous tofu shop called Sanko. Besides tofu, they also sell various dishes, with the side dishes being a favorite. Hijiki, okara, and yuba with shimeji mushrooms are especially good. Although I didn't buy them this time, their kinpira burdock root and yuba with cucumber in vinegar are also excellent, perfect as a side dish for alcohol. Of course, their tofu, usuyaki (thin fried tofu), and Kyoto-style ganmo are delicious, and their tofu croquettes, okara croquettes, and inari sushi are also popular. It's a tofu shop that I often visit and find very useful. The taste is great, it's healthy, and it's popular among women and children. It's perfect for quickly adding a few dishes when you want to treat yourself. Thank you for the meal!

The tofu shop in the town of Kyoto is located at Sanko in Uji Shrine. I visit this tofu shop two or three times a month. It is an old-fashioned tofu shop with a nostalgic atmosphere. I felt like eating Kyoto-style tofu as spring approached, but it is still cold in the mornings and evenings, so I decided to make hot pot. This shop not only has delicious tofu, but also side dishes that I always purchase. They are perfect for accompanying alcohol. I always end up buying things like Kinpira gobou, Yuba salad, Okara croquettes, and Tofu croquettes. There are a few other dishes as well, and the usual course of buying tofu is always a nice, gentle flavor that warms my heart. Thank you as always for the delicious meal.

I stopped by on my way back from my relative's house. There is a park nearby where I used to play when I visited my relatives a few times a year when I was young. The basic layout of the town remains the same as it was back then, but there were a few new shops that had opened. This shop must be one of them. They make tofu here, and they have a well-equipped facility. They had a variety of products made from tofu, so it was a genuine tofu shop. Just before getting on the bus, and since it was almost lunchtime, I bought enough soy milk donuts for everyone. They were a bit cold, so the deliciousness was somewhat diminished. The donuts had a slightly crispy texture, and the oil didn't seep out too much. The faint taste of soy milk lingering in my mouth is what makes soy milk donuts delicious. I would like to try them freshly fried next time.

I often visit on Saturdays. I am happy to inform you that tofu is on weekend discount. There are various types of tofu available such as silk tofu, cotton tofu, grilled tofu, and unique matcha tofu. They also have u-no-hana, yuba, kinpira gobou, rolled sushi, yuba rolls, and inari sushi. Tofu croquettes are also available for purchase. The tofu from Kyoto is said to be delicious because of the good water quality. Even though this place is located on a hill, the tofu is still delicious. This is a popular souvenir to bring back from my hometown. When driving around the neighborhood, be sure to stop by. The photo shows grilled tofu from when we had sukiyaki. Thank you for the delicious meal as always.
