The bakery near Higashi-yama Station on the Tozai Line is very convenient, so I have visited it multiple times. However, I often forget to write reviews for the shops I visit too often... I'll finally post it this time! The bakery is open from 7:00 to 19:00 and has an eat-in space, making it easy to use. I think they only accept cash for payment. Personally, I love all the bread here. It's my favorite shop. But, it's not popular with my children and husband. They say it's "hard" and "not sweet" as reasons. If you're looking for hard bread, bread that goes well with meals, simple bread, or stylish bread, I recommend this bakery. It seems that the owner is French, so the atmosphere inside the shop is a bit European. There are many foreign customers as well. However, the natural atmosphere inside makes it easy to enter casually. The woman at the register is a kind person with a lovely smile.

I visited the bakery after 6:00 pm, and the sandwiches were on sale for a little over half price, so I bought one for 250 yen.

A bakery where you can eat in. They have a small selection of bread but lots of delicious looking tarts. Rocher for ¥70 ◎○... A sweet baked good with plenty of coconut. It's more like fried than baked...? The texture and taste are truly all about the coconut.

It's like a bakery straight out of a role-playing game. The open kitchen allows you to watch as the bread is baked right in front of you, making your heart leap with excitement. The croissants are light and airy, with layers upon layers that are full of buttery flavor. They may be small, but they are just the right size for me. They offer a variety of simple bread options. You can also dine in, so it's a great place to stop by after visiting Heian Shrine.

I had been interested in this shop! They have a wide variety of quiches and tarts, and I could see a French person baking bread in the shop. I used the eat-in option and was able to relax in the spacious interior! The tart was sweet and salty, and next time I want to try the quiche!

It's always impressive to see foreigners having breakfast inside the shop. I was curious, so I visited for the first time. They have a variety of quiches, with prices around 380 yen, and breads for around 300 yen. It's a bit pricey, but I couldn't resist the lovely aroma inside the shop. Indeed, it's delicious. I want to plate the quiche at home and enjoy it with wine.

Around 1 o'clock on Saturday, I took the route through Yamashina Kekami to enter the city of Kyoto after a long time, went down Sanjo Street, passed through Furukawa-cho Shopping Street, and arrived here. Inside the restaurant, a group of white people were having lunch, and the dining atmosphere seemed nice, but this time I opted for takeout. In the back, a French man was baking bread, while a beautiful young lady (perhaps the wife?) was in charge of serving and customer service. I chose mainly quiche and tart, all of which I felt like pairing with French wine or cafe au lait. I felt the French vibe throughout the bakery. The difference between quiche and tart? (Is quiche thicker with more eggs?) The bakery seemed to exude a French atmosphere. The name of the bakery apparently means "sandbox." I would like to eat in next time.

At the popular bakery Le Bac à Sable in Higashiyama Sanjo, the bread baked by the French chef has a French aroma! The food served in the restaurant is delicious, but this time we used takeout. The quiche is outstanding, and the bread is so good that you could eat it every meal!

Located near Higashiyama Station, in Nishikaikocho, this bakery & cafe is popular among locals and foreign visitors for its bread, quiches, and tarts made by a French chef. Open from 8:00 in the morning (though may not open exactly at 8:00). There are seating options available, where you can enjoy bread and quiches with coffee. The interior has a rustic French countryside feel, with a counter on the right side displaying various bread, and seating towards the back. The staff is friendly but may not provide the meticulous service expected in Japan. You can warm up your purchased items in the oven toaster for a better taste. The reviewer shared their breakfast order of bread to share, quiches, and coffee. They also bought some items to take home, including a loaf of bread, croissant, and almond tuile. Overall, the reviewer enjoyed their experience and would consider revisiting for breakfast in the future.

I wanted to have a morning meal, but ended up getting caught in the rain without an umbrella. I sought shelter from the rain and found a cafe where I ordered a quiche with three types of cheese for 380 yen and a cafe latte for 400 yen. The cafe turned out to be more like a place between a bakery and a cafe, with a decent amount of seating. The quiche had a nice blend of flavors from the different cheeses. The cafe latte was average. I plan to try their morning set or tart next time. The location near Higashiyama Station is convenient.

I purchased some food to eat at the hotel before and after the live performance. I was drawn to the visually appealing quiches and tarts and had a hard time deciding. The square raisin and walnut bread was also delicious, and I was very satisfied. Next time I come here, I would like to enjoy eating in the restaurant.

I had been wanting to try the breakfast at this place for a while, and finally got the chance to visit. However, when I arrived, I was told that they were not serving breakfast. I ended up buying a random sandwich and some coffee instead. The sausage sandwich I chose was not particularly delicious for the price, and the coffee was just average. In the end, I ended up paying a lot for a breakfast that was not very impressive.

It feels like it's been a while since I visited Rubacasaburu to buy snacks for home. They had apple tart for 380 yen, apricot tart for 380 yen, and raspberry and chocolate tart for 380 yen. The children were enjoying them. I heard that they don't serve breakfast every day now and their opening hours are a bit later. I was planning to go for breakfast, so I'm glad I asked. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

You can eat freshly baked bread and buy it here. It's in Higashiyama. It seems like they're always busy, so I decided to check it out. I tried the ham and cheese French bread and the chocolate chocolat. They were delicious. They had about 15 different types of bread.

Before 9:00 am on Sunday. Many dine-in customers, croissants are sold out. About 5 tables. Quiche for ¥380. Coffee for ¥350. The quiche is bacon and onion, decent. The coffee is espresso with acidity and fruity notes, mild bitterness. Feels like a local spot, with a close relationship with regular customers, but a slightly mysterious atmosphere for first-time visitors. Seems like a good place for a quick break.

During my stay in Sanjo, Kyoto, I bought a strawberry tart for a night snack and salt bread and walnut raisin for breakfast. It cost 750 yen for all three items. The strawberry tart had a thin pastry crust with custard cream and strawberries. It was a bit disappointing that there was no almond cream in the pastry, but the strawberries were sweet and delicious. The salt bread and walnut raisin were enjoyed the next morning with coffee. They had become a bit hard by then, but still had a delicious flavor. I thought it would be better to buy them freshly baked in the morning, but since the store was closed the next day, I was glad I bought them in advance.

I visited around early afternoon. It seemed to be just past the peak time, so I was able to take my time choosing bread, although some items were already sold out. However, there were still a few types of quiche and sandwiches left! The quiches ranged from sweet to savory, and there were also various types of bread like bacon epi that you would find in a regular bakery. I was able to order a drink inside and enjoy it in a relaxed atmosphere. The quiche was flavorful and not too heavy, and overall very delicious.

The French bread at this place is delicious. The salmon and cream cheese sandwich was tasty with the addition of shiso leaves. I also enjoyed the walnut bread and fig bread that you can slice and eat yourself. I prefer the larger breads here over the tarts and quiches. The staff is very friendly. The place has a bit of a chaotic feel at first, but you can relax once you get used to it. I also love the tuile (hard tile-shaped biscuits) here.

Customer service... the service is American, or something like that...
- Croissant ¥150 - At this price, it can be considered cost-effective. You don't feel the high-calorie buttery taste too much, but the buttery taste lingers afterwards.
- Quiche with 3 kinds of cheese ¥380 - You can really taste the cheese! It's eye-opening...! It's not too strong on the blue cheese flavor, but you can subtly taste it. It's a really delicious cheese quiche.

I went to have breakfast at a newly opened restaurant, but they only had croissant sets on the morning menu. When I tried to order eggs and vegetables on the side, I was told they couldn't make side dishes. So, I chose the most basic quiche with onions and bacon and a coffee. Each item was 350 yen, totaling 700 yen. I thought I could have just bought bread and coffee at a hotel instead. I warmed up the bread in a toaster myself. Even though it was the first thing in the morning, the bread wasn't freshly baked and hot, but it was still decently tasty at this bakery.

I visited a bakery near Higashiyama Station today. It seems to be a popular bakery run by a French baker. They had a variety of French bread displayed in front of the shop. There was also a café inside where you could enjoy the bread you purchased. I bought some tarts to take home. The apricot tart had a crispy cookie crust and a tangy flavor from the apricot. The pear tart was filled with compote pear, offering a rich and mellow sweetness. Both tarts were delicious and beautifully presented.

■Visit Date: August 9, 2020■Items Received■MEMOVisited on August 9, 2020. This shop is located about a 1-minute walk from Higashiyama Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Tozai Line. You can eat in the store, but you can also just buy bread. On this day, my husband and I visited for breakfast. Of course, we also planned to buy some bread. The shop has table seats in the back where you can relax. We watched the master baking bread while waiting for our food. The smell of bread in the store tickles your nose. Now, the morning set A comes with homemade bread, homemade jam, and butter. I chose iced coffee for my drink. Freshly squeezed orange juice also comes with the set. I also ordered an omelette separately. The perfect combination of pink rock salt and black pepper makes for a delicious omelette. The homemade jam goes really well with the bread. We enjoyed delicious bread. We also bought 4 types of bread to take home: raisin cream bread, tomato bread, croissant, and walnut soft bread. All the bread is very delicious, freshly baked in the store. The raisin cream bread is a must-try, I could eat it all day. Cream bread is deeply flavorful and I love it. Unfortunately, the croissant got a bit squished on the way home... originally it had a beautiful shape.■Bloghttps://ay-style.net/?p=52189
