I was in the mood for potato salad and they made sure to fulfill my craving. Everything I tried was delicious! The name of the restaurant is Gyarari Shioriya, and reservations are available. It is located 463m from JR Kyoto Station, and the dinner hours are from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm (last order at 10:30 pm). Closed during the year-end and New Year holidays (December 31st and January 1st).♡

I attended a class reunion. It felt a bit cramped with 10 people in an 8-person room. The dishes were served in individual plates, so we didn't have to share. There was no explanation of the dishes, so we didn't know what was what. The drink menu for the all-you-can-drink option was different from the one listed on the website, which was confusing. It was inconvenient that the restroom was only on the first floor. The food was delicious, but each dish was large and difficult to eat.

A Kyoto-style izakaya perfect for girls' night out or a date! Only 400 yen for the otoshi (appetizer) with a serving of sake, which was impressive! When in Kyoto, you must try the nama-fu (wheat gluten)! The nama-fu dengaku was delicious. We ordered a sashimi platter, shrimp mayo, edamame salad, nama-fu dengaku, and red miso soup, along with two drinks each, all for 4500 yen per person. Each dish had a satisfying portion size!

It was a busy holiday weekend, so perhaps the staff were overwhelmed. There were delays in food service and order mistakes. The lack of proper response to these mistakes was disappointing and affected the overall experience. Also, it seemed unnecessary to have last orders at 9 pm when the restaurant is open until 12 am. I was still willing to order more drinks, but ended up just having water. Overall, please work on improving employee training. One positive aspect is the impressive variety of Japanese sake on the menu, especially the selection of Kyoto local sakes. This restaurant has a lot of potential for growth. Looking forward to improvements in the future!

We had a year-end party at Gallery Shioriya. Unfortunately, we ordered a lot of food and ate it, but we hardly took any pictures (^^;; It seems like everyone was focused on eating because only one person was drinking at the year-end party (sweat). Met up with some old friends at a creative Japanese restaurant in Kyoto. The highlight was the recommended tuna tail steak. It looked like a solid mass when it arrived at the table, but as we removed the meat, it unfolded like a flower petal. The meat was tender and full of collagen. The most interesting dish was the manga-litza pork with rock salt steak. It was marbled and oozing with the savory taste of the meat.

When I visited Kyoto for a leisurely trip, I ended up at this restaurant. Every dish is carefully presented and looks beautiful, but the prices are reasonable. The flavors are bold and the food goes really well with drinks. They have a wide variety of drinks to choose from, making it a great spot for those who love to drink!

I used GOTO Travel to visit the neighboring Kyoto Prefecture. It was my first time staying in Kyoto city. I wanted to enjoy a meal at a discounted price using GOTO Eat, so I made a reservation at this restaurant. It was located just a short walk from Kyoto Station. The counter was spacious and they cooked right in front of us, which was fun to watch. The menu prices were reasonable, but the portions were huge! We were completely full with just two people. They also had a wide variety of drinks, which was great. I had such a good experience that I would definitely go back when I visit Kyoto again. Thank you for the delicious meal! ⭐️

A slightly delicious, slightly upscale izakaya. This time, it's a second party, so we ordered delicious local sake, meat dishes, and carb-based dishes to finish. Well, delicious local sake can cost around 1000 yen for a cup, so ordering lightly can make the cost performance worse. Surprisingly, the beef and pork were quite delicious. The grilled rice balls were served on houba leaves and seared. Pretty good. The taste was satisfactory. However, in terms of a la carte, the prices are a bit high. There is also a 5000 yen all-you-can-drink course, so the cost performance is better there. By the way, when I asked the staff, they said their specialty is fish! My apologies for not trying that. I'll come back again.

It's only a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station, so it's convenient for welcoming guests from Tokyo. However, it may be too high-class for local residents to enjoy casually, and the prices are a bit on the expensive side.

We used it for a company gathering. There was a wide variety of plum wine available, so even those who are not good with alcohol could enjoy. The food seemed to be hit or miss, with some dishes deviating from the image. However, overall we were able to enjoy delicious meals. The staff and the atmosphere of the restaurant were lovely. I think it's a restaurant more geared towards younger people!
